Error Updating op3 to 7.1.1 - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Fixed!
I have a rooted oneplus3 phone and I am trying to update to Android 7.1.1 from 6.0.1 so that I can install the newest version of elementalx but keep getting an error that stops me every time I try and flash an update using TWRP
Android Version: 6.0.1
OxygenOS Version: 3.1.3
Kernal Version:
3.18.20-perf+
[email protected] #1
My phone is rooted and I have installed the twrp recovery version 3.0.2-0 on it. I previously installed xposed framework on my device but flashed the uninstaller for it recently.
The error I keep recieving is as follows:
E: unknown command [logs]
Updater process ended with Error: 7
Error installing zip file /sdcard/oneplus3oxygen_16_ota_051_all_1704112009_2521.zip
updated partition details...
...done
Is there something more I need to do before I can flash the file or am I just not using the correct one? and do I even need to update my phone to 7.1.1 or will flashing elementalx do that in the process?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

is that the reason why I am getting the error? Idk why I wouldnt be able to flash it with an older version of twrp

The unknown command alone feels like an error you'd normally encounter with an older recovery. Can you try updating and see if it works?

Allways use the latest Twrp recovery. Custom recovery it's better, because you can instal what ever rom you want. I use blue-spark v.32.

I updated twrp and it did indeed fix it! thanks a bunch for the help!

TWRP unable to flash roms

I've recently attempted to flash a rom in the TWRP Recovery and im receiving an error saying "error updating binary in zip /sdcard"
Can anyone help please because i don't have a backup to go to and i'm in need for solutions
Are you running the latest version of TWRP? If not try updating to the latest version. If you are running the latest version, try Philz Touch. I had problems with TWRP but not Philz.
Another possibility could be that your ROM download is corrupt.

Wierd root issue

Hey guys, so I was running 3.2.8 firmware and modem (marshmallow) with latest AOKP stable (not nightly) nougat rom and things were working as they should...
Now the official 4.0 nougat oneplus oxygen rom comes out and I'd figure it's time for an update... So I do a clean install of oxygen 4.0, boot into system, and then flash twrp-3.0.2-1.28 recovery to flash aokp nougat rom.
After that I flash latest stable SuperSU 2.79, reboot and then boot back again to install Adaway systemless v2 zip
Problem is, my phone randomly un roots itself, busybox app would freeze (had to flash it through TWRP later) and Adaway won't merge hosts file.
I know it probably has to do with either latest root, the recovery, encryption/decryption, or firmware (or combination of some of these) from what I've read on the forums...
Can anybody tell me what is causing these problems and help me fix this?
I've tried installing twrp-3.0.2-0_blu_spark_v11 recovery, version 19 of bluspark's modified TWRP, and SuperSU 2.79 sr2 but I still can't get Adaway to work and system keeps unrooting...
Is it bc I have to keep the system read only in recovery? Update my partitions to f2fs? Do I need to encrypt/decrypt my device?

Install TWRP 3.2.1 or 3.1.1 on Z551ML

When I've succesfully installed twrp 3.2.1 or 3.1.1, the phone stuck in boot logo while recovery mode loading and than reboot again. But when I've installed twrp 3.0.2 there is no problem on entering twrp menu. Version 3.2.1 and 3.1.1 does not compatible with Z551ML?
I'm using Android 5 (Lolipop) by the way...
Found the problem. 3.1.1 and upper versions works with only android 6 bootloader. I've another question than... Is there any way to retun original recovery mode from TWRP?
I've upgraded my phone to android 6 and than flash twrp 3.2.1 again but I got same result.

It is available on Twrp's official website, and I have it on my z551ml. It is works fine with lineage 14.1.

I'm using A23 build of stock rom.I have no idea how to get boot image out from an unrooted phone. Will there be any problem if I use A19 build boot image and patch it with magisk?

Magisk wont uninstall

Hello friends Im new year can you help me? My magisk wont update to 22.1 so I think I need to reinstall it and flash the latest realme ui from software update at the same time
I have been trying to uninstall magisk even if I click restore IMG it shows stock boot img doesnt exist or clicking complete uninstall will do nothing no error message or anything.
What I tried so far is
-Uninstall.zip from twrp
-Uninstall.zip from magisk module using the build v21 v22 v22.1 but it was still there.
As of now I do not have access for computer so can I also ask.
Will I be able to flash the latest android 10 from Color OS A.19 using twrp?
I know that you cannot install ota without stock recovery but I saw sometimes on some thread that they are flashing latest builds using twrp so Im a little confused now.
My phone is RMX1993 Pie Color OS A.19
