Finally, I rooted my fire phone with iroot.I tried several versions of kingroot without achievement but then I tried iroot and now I have root access on my phone.Root Successful ! Tested with fire os 4.6.6
O MY [email protected] GOD, NEWS NEWS NEWS huraaaaa IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE SINCE NOWW TO ROOT FIRE PHONE
@pipataki @ggow
confirmed, iroot work with FireOS 4.6.6.1 too
Am I missing something?
kingroot did the job for me way long ago, when the OS was 4.6.3.
I updated the OS promptly, when 4.6.6.1 released and rooted again with Kingroot.
Don't understand the reason of this confusing post
Looking at the dates of the different posts, nothing new under the sun so far.
Install and root with King root 4.5 then install super sume from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/vr4ybvizaud6n5c/SuperSU-Me.apk?dl=0 and run it, granting root. Run Super sume right after king root finishes, no reboot!
Worked with stock 4.6.3
iroot didn't work for me on 4.6.6.1 any idea why?
I found my fire phone after a while and wanted to root it to make it useful. I tried- Kingroot, iRoot, towelroot etc. but none worked.
During "Acquiring Root" process Kingroot (tried versions 5.3.7 & 4.0.0) aborts at "Network Error: Failed to acquire cloud issued Root Strategy".
Device information:
Model: SD4930UR
Android 4.4.4
Fire OS 4.6.6.1
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello
Today I bought a MID0714 Polaroid tab, and now I want to root it. (For the super user apps)
I've tried alot of methods, Framaroot, Kingo Android...but they all don't work
Kingo Android tells me that it rooted sucsessfully, but when I use Root Checker it tells me "not rooted"
Framaroot just tells me that my device doesnt support the exploit
Does that mean my device is impossible-root?
Is there alternative softwares/apk to install root with?
(OS: Android 4.1 ICS)
Thank you
NEVERMIND! I just needed to finalize the root, since my device is Rockchip based.
Mod close please
Root mid0714
Hi, i've bought the same tablet.
Please, could you explain me the procedure to follow to root this tablet?
As you, Framaroot tells me that my device doesnt support the exploit.
Thank you
(Sorry for my english)

I've managed to root the same tablet as follows :
1st go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066041
and use the ABD drivers u can download there for your tablet, because when you connect your tablet to your computer with USB Debugging turned ON, you need to install some drivers.
after this, I could root it with Kingo android root (You need to click on Root 2 times after connecting your device)
Hi, I have a brand new, stock, unlocked, international version GT-I9195I, which I updated to Android 4.4.4 before attempting to root. I attempted to follow the instructions given here for root access. I didn't realize until just now that these instructions were for a slightly different model, the GT-I9195, not the GT-I9195I.
Two questions: first, have I done any harm by attempting to flash the GT-I9195 recovery onto my GT-I9195I? (It still boots and appears to work normally.) Second, where are the instructions to get root access for this particular model (Baseband version I9195IXXU1AOB1)? I found a thread here for installing TWRP but it doesn't seem to mention how to get root...
Use kingroot for rooting...just install the app and press root
Sorry for taking so long to reply. Thanks for the advice! Kingroot was successful on the second attempt at obtaining root access.
However, I do have a follow-up question. Can I install a superuser app like SuperSU, then uninstall kingroot, and still retain root access? Kingroot's Purify feature shut down my alarm clock app and some others I want to run at startup, and toggling apps in the "Auto-start" setting of kingroot seems to have no effect. I uninstalled Purify but it still interferes.
Yes, you need to use Super Sume: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=darkslide.com.supersumepro
I just wanted to put this info out there quickly, will come back later with greater detail. I had Fire Phone US unlocked 32 GB with OS 4.6.3, which automatically updated to 4.6.6 today. To my great relief, the device was not bricked (despite previous root).
My previous arrangement was that I had 4.6.3 rooted with Kingroot, used SuperSU me to switch to SuperSU, and purchased SuperSU Pro 2.46. I turned the Survival Mode feature on prior to the OTA update.
After the update to 4.6.6, I was no longer rooted. I ran Kingroot 4.65, which rooted successfully (followed immediately by SuperSU me) so now I am running Fire OS 4.6.6, rooted, with SuperSU 2.46. Once again, I have turned on survival mode.
Not sure if the SuperSU survival mode helped, but thought I would put it out there in case it was relevant to my success.
Play Store won't run for me at the moment, but I'm sure I can get it working. Other than that I'm good to go.
So Kingroot will safely root 4.6.6?

No, to replace kingroot's kinguser with superuser you should use the paid app Super-Sume Pro or follow the free directions at w0lfdroid.com.
Hi there,
Have a few fire sticks unrooted blocking updates via adb on firmwares 5.05 & 5.01 etc.
Should I upgrade these to the latest 5.2.1 and root with kingroot ?
The next update from amazon may not be rootable via kingroot and the moment will be lost.
What do you guys think. cheers

Hi,
I can confirm that Fire Stick is rootable on 5.2.1.0 update with Kingoroot App, I have 3 fire sticks with standard remote and bulky plug (all purchased last year before they started shipping with triangular plugs) all of which are rooted on 5.2.1.0 and software updates blocked with command line and also with OpenDNS.
However a Custom Recovery( / Pre-Rooted ROM has not yet been released, but is rumored that Rbox may be working on one

Connor

Kingoroot App fails at 90% for me. Error Code: 0x1DFFFF
Hi Connor,
I've been trying to root my Fire Stick 5.2.1.0 using ADBlink and KingoRoot.
I downloaded the latest version of ADBlink as well as the KingoRoot apk /zip to my windows 10 machine and tried sending the files to the stick. For some reason ADBlink keeps showing my device as offline. I've tried getting the files on the FireStick through ES Explorer with no success. The guide in the forums are great but none say exactly how to transfer the files on the stick. How best can I get the KingoRoot files on the stick so I can achieve the same results you have?
I'm looking for a way to root a Fire Phone that runs 4.6.6, without using kingroot. It is a US unlocked phone.
I don't know where kingroot sends data, and don't want to know. I'm aware of SuperSuMe, but not confident that it can get rid of everything. Since kingroot only works online, the kingroot folks can update their software to hide from any removal that SuperSuMe attempts.
I've tried downgrading to 3.5 via adb sideload. Unfortunately, the sideload failed due to "assert failed". I edited the updater script, and the next attempt failed due to a verification error.
Is it possible to downgrade a 4.6.6 fire phone to 3.5? Can I downgrade in stages.... 4.6 to 4.1 to 3.6 to 3.5?
Are there any alternatives to kingroot?
Downgrading is not possible with latest firmware. Right now king root is only option to root, but if you want google, then you really dont need to root. It installs without rooting

@Rick949 used MobileGo from WonderShare to root Fire OS 4.6.1. It may root 4.6.6 as well. See Rick949's post here.
