Can I downgrade 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 is original ROM still available and would it affect anything like Knox? Or it's the same crap with locked BT and it would remain from 5.1.1? I don't plan any rooting just plain OEM stuff.
Ok there is life in Note II threads, but Note 4 is still one model behind the flagship...
Sadly this thread is also dead...

Hi,
I just got the T-Mobile SM-P607T a couple of days ago. It came pre-loaded with KK.
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: P607TUVUANE2
If you search the Sammie site for compatible firmwares, it feeds back the following:
Model Country/Carrier Date Version PDA CSC Kies
SM-P607T USA (T-Mobile) 2014 May 4.4.2 P607TUVUANE2 P607TTMBANE2
SM-P607T USA (T-Mobile) 2014 May 4.4.2 P607TUVUANDA P607TTMBANDA
Nothing else. No older FW's for this device are reflected / found.
I was wondering if anyone might know what (if any) functional differences there are between the 607T and the 605.
Reason: I am considering trying to downgrade this Tab to Official Sammie Jellybean (in hopes of not tripping Knox) so that I can try to Root (again, attempting to preserve Knox 0x0). Would the P605 be a viable solution?
Once on JB, I would likely attempt the method I used to inject root during the 4.4.2 upgrade on my Note-3 which PRESERVED Knox 0x0.
Thoughts?
If you have a new KK bootloader then you can't downgrade the firmware to JB... It will just sit on the Samsung logo getting hotter and hotter...

Thanks, UltraMag.
This question driving this post is now moot, with GeoHot's recently released Root which worked quite nicely.

I just bought a phone from a friend today Galaxy S3 4.4.2
so how can i unlock it without paid online because I dont trust any of those and dont want to spend money too.
There are some posts told about downgrade to 4.1.1 however, there are some people tell me not to do so because 4.3 and higher cant be downgrade or my phone become brick.
so is there other way around?
Is your phone running a stock 4.4.2 or a custom 4.4.2? If it is running a stock Samsung 4.4.2 ROM, you will have to buy a code.

AT&T 4.4.2. It is not custom ROM
You can only unlock the phone using a code.
hey guys, i wanted to update my Samsung Galaxy Note II i317 (AT&T note 2) to 4.4.2 from 4.1.2. its sim unlocked and im using it in UK atm. im not a fan of root and stuff as i can use some apps like my banking apps if i root. so i was wondering if someone could guide me to update to the official 4.4.2 firmware. i looked online to find the file and tru some forums but no luck. the regular way, settings-check for update on phone comes with no results as well
thanx a lot guys
Look here for stock Odin 4.4.2 firmware.

And read the Op for instructions ok.
I would like some clarification on the note 4 SM-910v Developer Edition. It is rooted, TWRP installed, backups made (aboot, and system).
1. Is it safe to flash CM12, Beanstalk, or other custom roms? I have seen them listed for other models of the Note 4 but never the 910v. I assume that is because 90% of Verizon note 4's have locked bootloaders.
2. Is it possible to safely install a Lollipop touchwiz versionn? I know there is a polish and possibly German version out that is 5.0. Also does that give rise to any concern about locking the bootloader?
Your all's help is much appreciated.

1. Yes, you can flash any of the custom ROMs.
2. There are currently no TW Lollipop ROMs for our device.

Thanks for answer.
After years of complaining about touchwiz on other devices, I actually like and use a lot of the note 4 touchwiz features.
I wouldn't want to lose multiwindow or S pen, so touchwiz for me.
Be careful flashing "any" ROM...you may need a different kernel for a foreign or other carrier's build...if it will boot at all. There is a working version of CM12 in the development thread and there are a few other 4.4.4 ROMs there and one FireKat 4.4.4 build specific to Verizon in the T-Mobile dev thread.
fyi i ran cm12 (beanstalk) for a day and it was butter. few issues with data dropping that was why i left but i will try again one day it was sweet

If it is a VZW Note 4 DE that you bought straight from Samsung...the bootloader is unlocked.
Sent from my SM-N910V / VZW Note 4 DE / Factory Bootloader Unlocked / Rooted / Custom Kernel-ed/ TWRP 2.8.5.0.trltevzw
I'd firstly like to state I am new to the forums, and give my thanks to brilliant people who give guys like me somewhere to turn. Now, my question is, is it possible to downgrade from MM PJ1 to OGG or OJ1 or lollipop in general. I've seen a similiar thread about a UAE version or somethung that said it was possible. I have successfully downgraded a Note 3 from lollipop to kitkat, which has locked bootloader too if I'm correct..?, but I would like to have any input before I do this as it is my main phone. Thanks!
yes it is possible.
