If you want official, last one is KitKat - 4.4.2 r2. If you want unofficial, pretty much all development is dead so you'll have to go around development threads and find what you like. Last Android version this device (unofficially) received was 5.1.1.
This device is bit complicated for flashing, because there is no standard bootloader unlock. But, it's all really well described in the forums, just use that search button up there...

Also i want to ask is how do i move the factory installed apps in my cellphone (like facebook, etc) to SD card since my phone is already rooted... please go easy with the language i am a noob with such stuff so far... I did try looking out for the solution in other threads but could not find the answer (or maybe couldn't understand it )...

(I am Brazillian, sorry by my English)
There you have the oficial CyanogenMod 7 rom support, instalation and development issues support.
In my opinion it is the best 2.3 alternative rom for p350.
The steps i know only in portuguese, but i believe i will find it in this link too.
The factory installed apps, the most one you will install with a Google package inside this link too.
The others you can download again on play store.
following a different guide i was trying to install CM Invasion V2 ROM.. i never got to the flashing ROM part... i was backing up the current ROM unsing ROM manager and my cell fone bricked... after banging my head... looking for solutions on the net and again banging my head... i finally was able to revive my cell fone (using kdz updater)... all this is a risky business
can anyone give me a near perfect guide for flashing ROM without using ROM manager.. please..
You'll have to flash a custom recovery first. Amonra is very stable. Then you can make a nandroid backup of your current rom from the recovery for you to go back to. Flash the rom you like and enjoy. If you need to do back to your original rom, just restore back from your nandroid backup

now flash recovery by going on thread then do steps
for flashing roms do following steps on recovery
1.creat nandroid backup only once not for everytime you flash
2.then go in wipe section and wipe all data
3.then go to flash zip manu and find rom then flash
4.sometimes some rom needs advanced steps for flashing like cm 7 official needs to format/system(steps for it it mentioned by the developer on his thread)
done reboot then enjoy flashing.
hope this will help you...........................
in future do not install recovery from rom manager it will brick your phone untill it gets perfect for our device
Remember we have a wiki page for this phone with an all-in-one guide for modifying it (rooting, recovery, custom rom installation, troubleshooting). I try to keep it updated, nice and clean (kinda hard some times).
About Android versions: The Optimus ME comes with Froyo (2.2) there is no other official firmware for it. CyanogenMod 7 is based on Gingerbread (2.3) which now has official support and is working pretty good now (yes, previous versions were slow, buggy but now they're pretty stable)... Honeycomb (3.0) is only for tablets, so it's not coming to P350. CyanogenMod 9 is based on Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), which for this device is still a work in progress, so don't expect a timeline nor a soon release. CyanogenMod 10 based on Jelly Bean (4.1) is still a myth for the P350...

Question about rooting!

Hi,
I’m waiting for my LG G Pad 8.3 (still in the mail, should be here by the end of the week!!!) and I have a few questions about it. I plan to root it but I would like to know a few things before doing this as I’m not an expert with “rooting devices”…
1) If I root the device but not install any custom ROM or custom Recovery, will I still receive the automatic OTA update from LG? Of what I understood, if you don’t modify any “system” files, install custom ROM or Recovery, you should be able to get OTA update?
2) If I decide to install a custom ROM/Recovery and then want to go back to the stock ROM, Is it available for download? I checked (quickly) on the forum and I didn't see any link to download it (stock ROM from LG).
Thanks in advance!

1)you probably can not update ota on stock rooted fw. I had asked the same question to the developer of the root method for our devices and this is what he had said:
dalingrin said:
My suggestion, if you want to keep root don't take an OTA.
If you really want to stay with stock LG then you'll want to flash updates via custom recovery. The community will take the updates from LG and make them flashable with TWRP or CWM.

Thanks for your reply! If the update from LG will be available for download so I can flash it, this work with me! I might not keep the stock ROM too... I never had an android device from LG so I'm not sure how it look like... If there is too much bloatware (like Samsung), I won't keep it.

Just to make sure... Stock Kernel = Stock ROM? So the "LG G Pad Sock Kernel.img" is the latest version of the stock ROM from LG?

There is too much bloatware in this tablet just like the Samsung ones. In my opinion the stock rom is worthy if you want maximum stability or you need the lg apps.
No, kernel with rom are different things, google rom vs kernel. The stock kernel is for people who have flashed custom kernels and want to revert back to stock. If you look in the original android development section of these forums you ll see that there are 2 custom kernels and more custom roms available for our tablet atm.

Thanks for the info! I'm not very familiar with this but I'm getting there! I'm reading related post/subject (rooting device) on the xda-developers forum so this help me a lot! I should receive my tablet tomorrow or Thursday so I'll test/inspect it to make sure everything is ok with it and than try to root it.
Did you root yours? Are you using a custom ROM on it?

I had rooted it when dalingrin released the adb root method as I couldn't trust the kingo root method. Adaway and titanium backup are some of the top apps but these apps need root. Also you won't be able to move apps or games to SD without root. I flashed cyanogen mod 11 some days ago and I'm totally satisfied with it. The gpad became faster, with more ram available and with less battery consumption.

I'll use the root method of dalingrin then! I installed CM on my old device and I liked it so I might test it on my G Pad! There is no big issues with it? I know that it still in "Nightlies status so it might not be "stable". I'm looking forward to receive my G Pad!

CM runs stable on G Pad as of now. Very few features are lacking and you can check the CM thread nad if you have half an hour to spare you can go through the change log as well.
For the love of God, do not mistake a rom for a kernel. And remember that a kernel is usually made for a specific ROM. Kernels will improve performance on specific ROM's.. And enable new features under the hood and so on. But if you install a stock kernel onto a CM rom, it would be like filling a car with the wrong fuel and it would most likely get stuck in bootloop until you reflash a compatible kernel. - As stated above there are 2 custom kernels, one is ported for a few of the custom roms.. The other one as far as I know is pretty empty atm. and is aiming at becoming Play Edition-"like", I don't remember for what ROM. On certain mainstream devices you will find many a kernel and usually something that will suit your needs. Perhaps this will happen with the G Pad at some point.
Good luck on your rooting adventures and feel free to ask anything if you hit a wall at some point.
I received my G Pad yesterday! I rooted it by using the “dalingrin” method, installed TWRP and then CM11 (the stock ROM had too much bloatware for me!). Everything worked without any issue so now I can enjoy my new toys! I was hesitating between the Nexus 7 and the G Pad and I’m very happy that I chose the G Pad!
Thanks again for your replies/help guys!

I told you that it has too much bloatware, you did the right thing! I was also balancing between nexus 7 fhd and gpad and i picked the gpad for its 8.3" screen.

which method to root and install TWRP on my device?

So I'm picking up my new (secondhand) LG D855. I am not sure if it's running 4.4 or it's on 5.x.
I searched the forums on the root method but there are a few and I got confused on which one to use. My ultimate goal is to run CM12.x on the device .
Can you please link me to the best one/most reliable method to use?
Thanks a lot

If you want to know if you are running kitkat or lollipop go to Settings -> About this phone ->Software -> Android version (the translation may not be exact)
4.4 kitkat
5.0 lollipop

anyone have the compiled stock rom for the htc one v (virgin mobile)?

i know this phone is old as all get out but I recently acquired one of these and it seems to have twrp installed already but no actual firmware...
i'd like to flash back to stock but i would also prefer that someone could fish out a rom from the deep sea of mostly dead links that would be considered somewhat usable. i think there may be a 4.2.2 rom somewhere but i am unsure. the device codename is "primoc"
tl;dr: if anyone has the stock rom, please upload it if possible. i'd also like to see if anyone has a rom for this device that is on 4.2.2 or later. doesn't have to be that new but it is preferred
as for stock i am sure only 4.0.x exists
thanks in advance.
