I'm using the "Customised UK" version of Android 7.0 on my Z5 Premium (E6853) on T-Mobile in the US.
Does anyone have the apk to install Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA, aka CMAS)?
I'm using the default Messaging app and I have Push Messages (from service provider) turned on.
Thanks.

I have the Google Dialer installed and working. The phone will take cell tower codes and execute them. I also have a working sip account setup in the dialer that makes and receives calls fine.
What I don't have is this:
I have a BlueAnt T3 headset. It pairs fine, but the only option is media use. Even after I select that and try to dial a number the dialer will switch back to the nexus speaker for output, then when I hang up it switches back to the headset. What am I doing wrong?
Anyone?
I have a Nexus 7 Deb, running unlocked and rooted stock 4.4.2 KVT49L with a Verizon Phone SIM. What dialer are you using? I have tried a few phone.apk files from other devices with no luck at all.

I'm using the Google dialer that I used to enable sms / mmi codes from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539407
it's so weird that bluetooth works, but the instant I make a call it switches back to the nexus internal speaker.

I think I have that installed, I installed xposed and the sms mod, but I cannot send MMS. If I try to make a call using hangouts or with google now it just hangs, and I have tried to install the phone.apk from other devices and they will not install.
I think the MMS failures are from wrong APN settings in either the device or the hangouts app. But my APN settings in android are missing, and the APN settings in hangouts do not save, (a known reportedly fixed bug.)
I also used TitaniumBackup to remove the "BasicSMSReceiver" so that I dont get double notifications when I receive a SMS.
Where do I get a actaul phone dialer apk?
Anybody with SM-T837V making phone calls or texting with their Verizon #? I mean with any native app? I got Verizon with it and so it has a # for itself but I don't see any options to directly use it for calls let alone text.

From what I understand all carriers remove the phone and messaging apps and only allow tablets as data only. Only international unlocked tablets from overseas have phone and messaging apps. Now whether or not they could be added back through a new ROM is not yet clear.

I'm using Pulse SMS as my default text messaging for my Samsung Note 9 and have it installed on my tablet as well as other devices, and I use it on my desktop through their web app or Chrome app. It works flawlessly. Much better than the current version of Android/Google Messages. Unfortunately, doesn't work for calls. I use Google Voice still for voice calls to/from all my devices. A while back, I ported my VZW number to Google Voice so I have more flexability on calling. My biggest frustrat the moment is that Verizon doesn't seem to be pushing out updates for the tablet like they do the phones. I'm a few months behind on the security patch for Android on this tablet. Not happy about it.
I have a Verizon S7 Edge cell, and was able to load Verizon Messenger Plus on my wifi Tab S4. It let's me send and receive texts using the Verizon cell number on the tablet. It used to let you make and receive cell phone voice calls over WiFi, but they disabled that feature.
Just get the T-Mobile version using Digits app to use S4 Tablet as a phone
I have it on my Galaxy Tab S4 works great not needing to bring phone along too,
But I bring it anyway...

So they have reactivated calling on the Verizon Messenger Plus app!
First, you need to specify a 911 address. The default is your billing address - which is my work office and needed to be changed to the home address. When you enable the calling function, you both receive calls to your cell (e en if the cell is powered off) and can place calls from your tablet.
The limitations:
1) There doesn't seem to be a way change away from the default ring tone. Maybe 8f you sync contacts with 6our phone?
2) There doesn't seem to be a way to independently set the ringer volume - it is loud and controlled by the multi-media volume. If you are listening to music or video and the multi-media volume is high, the ringer is high.
It is just a button push to turn the calling function on and off.

Hello all,
I think what I'm trying to do may be impossible but unsure.
I have a Huawei P30 Pro and a galaxy LTE 46mm.
Wherever my phone is connected to Bluetooth with the watch, all my text and call notifications come through fine. Whenever connected over a network, sending and receiving calls works fine, however I can't receive texts. I can send them through the watch built in messaging app but if someone responds the watch isn't notified while the phone is.
I am using numbershare if that matters at all.
I think the problem is that I'm not using Samsung's own messaging app myself but not sure. I've downloaded an APK for it but it won't launch anyway.
Thanks!

Nevermind figured it out. Had to enable the sync with Samsung account feature in the wear app
Glad you got it sorted! My texts work stand alone or with my OnePlus 7pro.
Hi, may I ask which carrier are you using for number share between hua Wei p30 pro qns Samsung galaxy watch LTE?
I recently purchased a Samsung factory unlocked (U1) Note 10+ to replace my Xfinity Mobile S10+. It's working just fine with the original SIM that I swapped over from my Xfinity S10+. VoLTE, WiFi calling, everything works. Except.... Voicemail notifications. None. Zip, zero, nada.
The Xfinity visual voicemail app does not work (not even on an Xfinity purchased Note 10):
"the newest Samsung phones (Note10 included) are not compatible with the Xfinity Visual Voicemail app and moving forward, all new phones will be using the provided voicemail app (not the xfinity visual voicemail app) in which case on the note10 is audio only".
With the Samsung default voicemail app, I don't receive any notification that I have a voicemail message. And if I open the app, it always says "no new voicemails". But if I touch the "check voicemail" button in the app, my new voicemail messages are there and I can listen to them. I've enabled all permissions for the app, and enabled all relevant notification settings.
I suspect that the problem is not related to app notification issues, but rather related to the app accessing/checking my voicemail. Since it always says "you have no new messages", whether there are messages or not.
All feedback/suggestions welcome.
Edit: solution is to install Youmail app.
Surely someone has some ideas?

I just got my unlocked Note 10+. I will see if my notifications work for voicemail and let you know. I do use AT&T for my service.

I bought the Note 10+ last week, samsung unlocked, and I just swap my SIM, I have a mexican SIM and I was in USA (black friday). I received a voicemail and the notification was just right, but, when I click on it I wasnt able to connect to my voicemail, what I did was to dial directly from the phone app to the voicemail phone number (my case, *086) and only then was able to enter it. Here in Mexico I dont have to do that, just straight from the notification.
I have the same issue on my Verizon S10 that I swapped my Xfinity sim into. Pretty much everything works great but the voicemail function.
I have AT&T and installed the Visual Voicemail app. I completed the setup in the app and voicemail notifications are working.
Solved!
Summary: Xfinity Mobile voicemail app will not work on Note 10/10+
Samsung native voicemail app will not "check in" with voicemail and always gives a false negative (you have no new messages, even when you have new messages).
Solution was very simple: download and install the app "Youmail". Very easy to set up, and works flawlessly.
Thanks to all for their input.

wrong it didnt work for my Verizon Note 8 that I have on Xfinity mobile. Youmail wont connect to my voicemail. Luckily I can dial in *86. But if I let the app switch to built in voicemail I lose it completely and no one can leave messages. No matter how you access it, it states "number not in service" thats even when calling my phone to leave a message. How the hell can an app affect voicemail like that?
SOLVED!!!!
I was having the same problem on my Galaxy Note 9. I changed the network mode from Global to LTE/GSM/UMTS and my voicemail works. ( go into to Settings then click Connections, click Mobile Networks and click Network Mode)
