Hey.. Has anyone had any luck flashing custom kernels, specifically Franco kernel or AK kernel, with the latest CM 12 build ? I'm looking for better battery life and in the past both these kernels have proved useful.. Also from a lot of threads I gathered that franco+cm12 combo works well for CM12.. I'm not sure whether it's available for the HOX on CM12 ... Any alternatives in case these are no go ?

I literally had it already in the poll, but before submitting it thought that there might be other ROM worth mentioning and the poll would soon become incomplete. Because of this I preferred to insert a "generic" point at last.
Quick summary after one day of votes:
65% is running OxygenOS (or OOS-based ROMs)
35% is running CyanogenMod (or CM-based ROMs)
Let's see how these results will change with the steady improvements made by both worlds!

@Striatum_bdr, I hear you but that's the purpose of the last choice in the poll.
The poll would become obsolete too soon if I were to list each and every possible ROM, which we all know is a moving target.
As you can see less than 7% chose the 'Other combo' item, so I guess we can call the information near complete, while not perfect.

Hello, I'm using AEX 4.6 official and I'm really satisfied with this ROM as it is stable, responsive and low in battery consuming.
In the past, when I was on AEX 4.5, I flashed Jaguar kernel with good results but nowadays are available other kernels as Heliox for example, so I would like to know by you which we can classify as the overall best kernel for Zuk Z2 device.

Everyone suggest Heliox kernel over Jaguar, but if I'm not wrong, the previous has not been updated recently as occurred for the latter, then I don't know what to do because I was wondering install the custom kernel particularly for the newest security patches.

For me it's Jaguar, been running it on PureFusionOS for a while now and the included overclock, cpu voltage change, hotplug and intellithermal is all I needed. I can even use f2fs without any issue so far even though the dev clearly boycotted it and overall it's not recommended

every user uses phone different. so no best kernel. also different tweaks in all kernels.

(Not Tested but Good Screen On Time)
i have tested few kernels that are good and didnt have any glitch/error after flashing, i suggest codeX kernel if you want more customization and Derp kernel for simple kernel .
