My zenfond 2 screen is fading in negative when in messaging and lockscreen. But when i do facebook, play games and internet. The screen is okay. Please help i really have difficulties now when texting. I cant screenshot the problem because when i do the photo of the screen is fine. it alaso shows blinking horizontal lines. I didnt drop the phone or anything. It happened after i update to the latest system.
same problem here
it starts with blinking lines and then the lower part of the screen fades out to negative and withe. It happens also, if i do a restart, just in the boot animation! If the content in the screen changes it looks ok for a few seconds and start to fade out again. Still no change after a full factory reset. If i didn't use the phone for a couple days it will work ok for 3 to 5 hours and after that the problem comes back.

If you have already performed a hardware reset including wipe cache partition (http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011956/) then unfortunately this sounds like it may be hardware related and recommend sending in for warranty service. Please see our online support page for RMA assistance (USA or Canada) http://www.asus.com/us/support/#!home/mainPage

Happened to me too after latest update..earlier was working fine..many peoples reported that after updating to .90 so pretty sure its software..wait for the next update..asus can you confirm this with your dev's? Same thing happened with battery jump issue neither downgrading or flashing other roms could solve it..but fixed with update..
Also one more thing to prove my point is that it doesnt happen to asus logo as it starts and happens when that loading circle comes..means screen is fine just not the firmware..
sure its software, but who knows if its related to the memory leak bug in android or mayby the drivers for the graphic unit? I don't even know if this Intel SoC uses its own memory for the graphics or is it more like a shared memory with the main CPU? I've seen the screen fading out also while trying to boot in recovery and do a factory reset/ wipe the cache...

yes they did - after i gave them the link to the zentalk thread were this problem is discussed.
After all it seems i just changed the screen problem into a not working GPS problem since the replacement can't receive any GPS signal
Hey guys! Since last week I've been experiencing some weird problems with my LG G3 d855 screen blacking out, everything was working OK, the last thing I remember installing was Opera Max,
don't know if this have to do something, BUT I've didn't dropped my phone or anything, It was working at all times, maybe it's time has come?
I've factory reset to see if solved but no luck. I attach a video so you can see what the problem is, it doesn't happen at all times, I can still use the phone normally and a few times a day the problem appears.
Can someone confirm I have to replace the whole screen? or is it something else?

There have been a couple of suggested fixes:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/3j6puw/screen_flicker_and_fade_please_help/
This simple version of this one worked for me for a few days. I'm going to try the more involved version (still fairly simple)
http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g3/527306-why-does-my-lg-g3-screen-flicker-fades-darkness-8.html
And an existing thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/screen-fades-to-black-flickering-issue-t3255804
I chatted with LG's customer service and they basically denied the existence of any systemic problem.
OMG so many people with the same problem. I've readed all the posts on ac's forum, most of them complaining about LG customer service and how about they even know what the problem really is.. And in almost every case problem appeared after the warranty ended. Awful experience with LG.
I have started with the stock ROM, and used cm13, and even updated to the newest fully stock ROM 3.2.4 and to no avail.
The camera app either force closes or nothing shows up on screen. Every once in awhile the front camera will work, but I'll click the icon to switch to the rear camera and no effect, it just stays on fron t camera.
I've tried many third-party apps, I've tried cm camera fix, everything I can think. Clearing data and coach for the app the whole shabang.
Now I'm ordering a brand new camera module and I will see what happens. But any help and any information will be much appreciated thanks
Was it working when you bought it...what did you do to it before it broke?
it definitely seems like a hardware issue, had it been a software issue a custom rom or 3rd party camera might have resolved it and since you have tried many roms and reverted back to stock too so it doesnt look like a software issue.

Funny you should ask, because I honestly don't know when it actually started but I do remember wiping userdata so I could unencrypt my phone and thereafter was when I noticed it no longer worked. Don't know if those 2 things correlate because I flashed back to stock (which is encrypted) and still no luck
Did you solve the camera problem ???
Hi guys, last week a friend of mine dropped my phone onto the ground. Some hours later i discovered that both the camera's didnt work, popping a message.I tried clearing the camera cache, but nothing happened.Later on even the torch and the notification led didnt work properly, and now i dont have idea on what i have to do.Could it be a software problem? I'm actually running ResurrectionRemix 7.1,is it worth trying to rollback to stock? I already opened the phone and checked all the connectors, and it doesnt seem that they were disconnected or anything.(at least the front camera and the back one)
Any advices?

Rolling back to stock would be my first advice , hairline fractures in PCB/circuitry wont be picked up by human eye.

If it got dropped then stopped working, that pretty much indicates a hardware problem.

Hi guys,i managed to open the phone and to check all the camera cables, then it worked out of nowhere. So its pretty much solved.
Hi, so i've been using the Oneplus 5T for a year and just recently it started having issues with lag, making the phone unusable. I tried installing different roms without success(Oxygen OS Open Beta 23, Lineage OS 16, and Oxygen OS 5.1.4) and i have no idea what is causing it. This issue began while i was on the OOS beta 23 and it wasn't rooted, it just started behaving that way suddenly i didn't drop it or anything, also the screen blinks and start doing weird things sometimes. Did anyone had this issue? And what can be causing it? Thanks
Link to a video of my problem: https://youtu.be/17LOiftTf8w
Found the issue. Apparently it's caused by google play services, if i clear the data of the app the phone works fine and as soon as i install something from the store it starts lagging again
I always have this issue after finishing a clean setup on oxygen os beta. One restart for me solves and never returns.
same here

If you find a solution please let me know i ran out of ideas my fix with the play services stopped working, thanks
What the hell is that lag issue seriously ??
I was thinking to flash a custom kernel and ROM but would it solve the issue ?
And the issue is completely random as well.
I have the exact same issue. Starts when i download something from playstore, open camera after a while or transfer big files e.g transferring data through oneplus switch. I have tried everything i could and didnt help. Upgrades, downgrades, root, trimming storage, clearing cache etc. Nothing is helping. If anyone finds a solution please tell me too. Really frustrated ?
The problem occured on official ROM but it comes back even on Lineage OS 16 (official too).
Do you think it could be a hardware issue ? If not, how come this problem happens even when flashing an other ROM ?

For me it lags all the time, the phone is unusuable. I can reboot, flash a new ROM ... nothing will solve it.
I had this problem for almost 3 weeks and no fix from Oneplus, so I will buy a new phone.

I had the same issue 2 months ago, I tried everything to fix the problem even did hard reset using oneplus' official program and it didn't work.
I came to a conclusion that it's a hardware issue so I sent my phone to repair and one week later I got my phone back fixed.
I recommend you to do the same if you still have warranty, the whole process took only one week. The customer service is really good.
Same problem here, my phone lags like a hell. Running omnirom pie

Maybe try to reset your phone by using MsmDownloadTool, if that doesn't fix your problem then it must be a hardware issue.

The problem is that (not only i lost the warranty) but i'm not from the USA and sending them the phone is kind of hard and expensive, to the point that i think buying a new phone is cheaper. I reached to support anyways but i'm still waiting for a response after 3 days. What did they change on your phone?

I don't know what did they replace I didn't get any information about that. The screen is the same though they didn't change it, my guesses are either it's the motherboard or the motherboard to screen connector (it's called main flex I think, you can get on for about 3$)
