On my s7 edge it worked everywhere with no problems. Now on my S8+ I can only get it to work about 2 out of 10 times. I always get card read error.
I've tried with the case off. I've tried at multiple stores, ranging from everything you could think of and it is still a card read error or bad swipe. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a defective unit. Mine works just as well, if not better, than my s7 edge did.

When you started to have that problem?
There is a lot of people reporting problems using android pay with the new Tmobile update.
I wonder if that update screw up Android pay, can that update screw up Samsung pay?
I downloaded Safety net from play store, and is giving me CST false after the update.
I didn't try either Samsung pay, or Android pay after the update, I hope that is not the case.

I've had it work fine most places and if it doesn't register the first time I'll just hold it once more and it will usually catch.
I suppose you've tried re positioning it etc. ?
Like he said above, if it's not working it may be a hardware problem with your specific device.
I purchased this phone yesterday and had Samsung Pay fail at 2 separate retailers today. The second merchant said that it showed an error with multiple credit cards selected on his end. I'm not sure what that means as I only have one credit card loaded to Samsung Pay.
I switched to Android Pay and it worked the first time!
I tried to use it at Walmart multiple times and it always had card error.
Then yesterday I attempted it again and placed the s8+ towards the bottom of the card slot and it worked.
Mine has worked great, and it seems to work places the S7 edge wouldn't . I have had success with both NFC and MST. For MST to work best, hold it where the metal readers are in the swipe slot. That is what picks up the signal. I ust it everywhere, even the handhelds that are being used in various stores and restaurants. I have not had a fail yet which surprises me.
---------- Post added at 08:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 AM ----------
Also, remember you have to open Samsung pay first and then use your fingerprint to activate. After it starts to vibrate hold it to the reader. Android pay just needs a fingerprint and a tap. Samsung pay takes an extra step. I have it set to open with a swipe up from the lock screen to speed things up.
Used it last night on a Hospital vending machine for the first time and worked flawlessly.
used it everyday, always work. Iris authentication is wonderful.
Nope no problems most of the time. Seldomly it does get declined the first time i use it, and go through the second time.

I really like the concept of Google wallet, and I try to use it whenever possible. but I've noticed that sometimes it works really good and sometimes its a real pain in the a**. for example, I use it to get gas at bp gas stations. the one closer to my house works great, first tap almost every time. but a couple other BP's I use it at on the way to work sometimes, its a nightmare. it takes 7-8 tries, and the terminal usually times out and I have to try it again... then it works (after holding up the line and making me look like an a** lol). and I've tested this with multiple roms, kernels, case on/off, starting wallet app before using, updating wallet app/going back to previous versions, etc. and nothing really makes a difference. anyone else have trouble with wallet, or better yet tips to make it work better? I've contemplated going back completely to stock unrooted just to see if that helps but if rather not, especially if its not going to help.

could be a bad connector/faulty reader... either way, the terminal still isnt setup properly.
I've had this problem a few times at McDonald's and have figured out that there is a little light on their card reader. If the light is burning it works, if light not working then nfc reader doesn't work right either. I think may be case with others as well.

As the other guy said. Its the terminal. I'm stock and jack in the box is hit or miss. 7-11 always works and McDonalds works 90% of the time. Employees have explained the terminal hasn't been updated when it doesn't work...
When I change the LCD density down to 220 I am not able to place more than 5 apps on my app launcher toolbar. There is room for 7 shortcuts.
What is the point in change the density if it does not allow me to place more shortcuts on my homescreen.
I use it any chance I get its extremely convenient and the only time it ever took more time than it would have to pull out my wallet was the day I updated the Wallet app and tried to initialize in a poor signal area (thanks, Sprint). Another time, their paypass terminal just didn't work at all, something on their end.
Google Wallet is an extreme hit in my book.
I had an issue with it not working at a convenience store once. They rebooted their register and it worked fine after.

I am just curious to know. I heard there are mods for cwr to assist with this.

I'm not sure if it's the best so I don't want to spread misinformation but I actually bought this app. It's the only app I ever paid for. I installed using the disguised method so apparently it even sticks around even if you do a complete factory reset. I paid for one license which allows you to register multiple phones (I think 4 or 8 or something) and all tests have passed that I've tried with it on both of my phones.
Maybe someone with more knowledge can recommend a better one because if there is, I'd get it.
I wouldn't recommend Prey. Prey is the Razer of antitheft apps--all advertising and nothing else.
Edit:
Here is a reddit post I just found from 26 days ago of people chimping out about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1gl7g7/psa_cerberus_is_incredible/

My friend's Nexus 4 was stolen last week. A couple of days before, I had installed Cerberus on it. It wasn't rooted, so some of the features weren't available.
Anyway, for about a week, I wasn't getting any info from Cerberus. Then, a couple of days ago, I got a text message saying that an unauthorized SIM was in the phone. I guess the thieves had finally turned on the phone. I was able to lock the phone with a new code, get GPS tracking, call and SMS logs, record audio and video, and get pics of the thief. In addition, it sent me the SIM card info for the thief. It was on Friday night, so I couldn't get the info to the detective who has the case, but tomorrow I will send that info.
Cerberus did what they said it would do (basically give me a chance at getting the phone back). Hopefully with all of the info I have now, we will be able to recover the phone. I'll let you know if I get the phone back.

I have aeGis which isn't a bad option either.
Also tested Plan B which you can install from the web Play Store and have it track immediately.
So I have been having issues since I've gotten the S6 edge on April 10th. Let me list the issues so far.
-Phone overheating
-Phone lagging when nothing is even open
-Random app crashes
-Fingerprint scanner issues (rarely but still happens)
-Touchscreen sometimes not responsive
-Bluetooth loses connection
-Loading an app takes forever.
I even changed all the animations and scaled it down to .5x instead of the stock 1x.
Overheating, battery life + wifi calling issue perhaps, have yet to diagnose the 2nd one. Fingerprint scanner isn't accurately reading either. T-Mobile says they have to do diagnostics to avoid doing a $50 restocking fee too, which is dumbfounding if I want to just get another 6 Edge.

Hmm.. probably you should get the phone replaced. I (thankfully) haven't experienced even one of your problems and neither were there any scratches on my screen..
Droid-Life is also reporting people having issues with auto-rotate.. I've a feeling these issues are specific to a batch of phones that got produced together, but i'm not sure if there's a way to relate them.

LAG, my wife's iPhone 6 loads apps immediately every time, while with s6 edge it can take 1-2 seconds, I did a full reset and the phone was speedy again so I carefully installed my apps to see if one was the culprit and so far have not found one, my phone is still faster then before the reset but am starting to notice a small lag when opening the phone and messages app,it seems to happen when I start to have a few call logs or more than one conversation on my messages, I shouldn't have to delete my call log or messages everyday just to have my phone be fast, but this seems to be an issue with every android phone so it must be Android itself

I have no idea. When I call on the 18th I will find out. I hope I don't because a refurb phone wouldn't even solve the issue.
Lagging.
This is unacceptable, IMO. RAM usage is extremely high at all times with only the same apps I've had in my Z3 (granted, running Android 4.4) and my wife's HTC One M9 (running Lollipop). And like everyone else here, it lags, and lags, and lags:
I hit the home button, it takes a couple of seconds to reload widgets, icons, etc (really only some app shortcuts and the clock/weather app on the main screen and calendar all on the right-most screen; I have 3 screens total, "briefing is disabled).
If I have a light webpage open in the samsung browser, and then I hit home, and then I hit multitasking again and go back in it, that page reloads after a brief moment of doing nothing (lagging). If I have more than a few webpages open, and I hit the home button, there goes my whole home screen again when I hit the home button.
I *have* done the factory reset with samsung smart switch. The phone is 10x better than it was before, but it still isn't as fast as my last 3 phones: an HTC One M7, an HTC One M8, and a Sony Z3. And my wife's aforementioned HTC One M9.
I ran some benchmarks like Vellamo, and wow, it's fantastically fast....... but what about everyday usage? I'm really close to returning this phone, and I've only had it for 6 days. Sure teh screen is beautiful and it runs benchmarks like a boss, but I don't run benchmarks all day. I use my phone like a normal smartphone. And on that, this phone is failing miserably. I think I'm still on my grace period, and I fully intend on using it to return this if I can't figure this out by tomorrow. I've visited XDA more now than I have for all the time I've had HTC's and the Sony.
See the screenshot attached. That free space goes quick, and then the phone starts chugging. It's 2015 Samsung, if you can figure out how to turn out insane benchmark numbers but can't improve usability of the phone then I'm out.
TL;DR: Unacceptable lag compared my previous phones and M9.

This is going to sound really strange...but can anyone who has updated their phone -and- has a Samsung wireless charging pad that has been unreliable with maintaining a charging status see if it works better now?
I have read others who have Note 5s say that a software update helped fix the problems they were having with their Samsung wireless charging pads so I was wondering if this update helped ATT Note owners.
I'm trying to induce a flashing blue error in my pad right now, but so far I've re-positioned my phone about four times and it's stayed solid blue each time. Kind of frustrating because I just processed a refund for it via Amazon.
May just be my imagination but it seems that my fingerprint reader is a lot quicker and more accurate. I had been having issues since installing a tempered glass screen protector, but now works the first time every time.

I've had a lot of trouble with mine, I'm running stock software with issues like dropped phone calls, MMS pictures won't go through, email notification will not delete after message has been deleted.
I've had mine for six and a half months. While it mostly works, when it is not broken. Am in the process of my second return (first was because 1/3rd of the screen went black, now I've got "ghost touches".
The RMA process is atrocious, the cross ship program is "delayed" for over a week.
Fifteen percent of the time I've had my phone it hasn't worked. The upshot is you need a backup phone if you actually depend on your phone.

So true, but it's BS to have to do it. there's been many, many complaints on this phone. I have a case open right now and it's taking so long to get things going. I wish now I had bought the Google Nexus I was thinking in the first place.

Is not possible to switch via software the data from Sim1 to Sim2. It instead necessary to physically invert the sim card position as the data only works on SIM1.
This was actually the issue i faced. It is worth buying if you don't need to switch data on the other SIM.

Here's my two cents. This phone is absolutely amazing. There's only one issue with it out of the box: The bloatware.
ASUS shot themselves in the foot when they released this phone. The bloat is absolutely abysmal and tanks the battery down like crazy.
If you do plan to get the phone, do so with intentions of atleast putting a custom ROM on it; otherwise, the phone is passable, imo. Rooting and uninstalling bloat manually only causes further headache and breakage of the Stock ROM.
You can take my opinion as a grain of salt, however. Whatever floats your boat, you know.
