Hi everyone !
I'm having a problem with my A3 2016 phone.
Indeed, I'm having a lot of wifi drops and I don't know why (I don't have any problem with my other devices with the same wifi).
All of my wifi drops start with this kind of line :
04-24 00:56:39.941 I/wpa_supplicant(14243): wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-BIGDATA-DISCONNECT 2 11 4 0 0 0 48:83:c7 2462 20 -60 86 2 0 0 0 0 -91 0 0
My logcat is uploaded here.
Thanks for your help ! :fingers-crossed:

Hi,
I am having an issue trying to connect to webpages from any browser via 3G (tried the stock browser of 2.3.4, Miren and also DolphinHD).
Others apps are fine (Market, Gtalk, Gmail etc ..).
Any webpage will try to load and eventuall time out (after quite a while).
A logcat only shows this error which "could" be related, not too sure:
Code:
I/TelephonyRegistry( 154): notifyServiceState: 0 home vodafone AU (N/A) 50503 HSDPA CSS not supported -1 -1RoamInd: -1
DefRoamInd: -1EmergOnly: false
I/TelephonyRegistry( 154): notifyDataConnection: state=2 isDataConnectivityPossible=true reason=null interfaceName=rmne
t0 networkType=8
I/TelephonyRegistry( 154): notifyServiceState: 0 home vodafone AU (N/A) 50503 UMTS CSS not supported -1 -1RoamInd: -1D
I have tried to reset the APN to default, have also rebooted the phone, no luck either.
When I try to browse a page, I can see that the 3G icon would switch between 3G and H quite a bit and sometime would eventually get stuck in 3G with one arrow stuck (assuming it is the upload, waiting for a response).
I have tried updating the radio to 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08 and this has not made a difference.
Also looked at this issue which may be related, although I have no issue with Wifi

I have tried to teither the 3G connection to a PC and I can browse websites from it so no issue with the actual 3G/APN settings.
Any idea?
It has to be an issue with the browsers, although it appears to affect the stock browser, DolphinHD and also Miren
Hello All:
I am experiencing over 600 com.android.phone wakeups on mobile network and tried to disable fast dormancy without any impact. My P936 is running V20c Vodafone. Any idea how to reduce the wakups?
Thanks
are the signal bars actually accurately reflect the signals strength? reason why i am asking is because i literally get 0 bars at home, yet data works and i can still surf the web and watch videos.

those bars are not indication of strength (not all the time)
this is a very iffy conversation some will say yes some will say no. me personally when i have 1 or 0 bars i have a bad connection with data/voice. when i have max bars there is no issue whatsoever. but you need to look at the dBm meter that is more accurate. and just self observation of itself it may vary in the place you are too. in my house with 1 bar on LTE I get 20Mb/s Down 5Mb/s Up. And at work I have 3 Bars and only reach 10Mb/s Down and 2MB/s Up. however my voice coverage wherever I been has been spot on.
I have one bar at home, just did the speed test: 16Mb down, 6Mb up. If you dial *#0011# you'll see your RSRP exactly (reference signal receiving power), mine shows about -105.
If calibration was done properly it should be something like this:
0 bar - 0- 20%
1 bar 20-40
2 bar 40-60
3 bar 60-80
4 bar 80-100%
So even at 0 bars you could have OK reception.
But there is more to it, you can have strong signal, but also strong interference and a lot of other users could jam up otherwise strong connection.
To be honest I'd much rather have zero bars and still connecting, than phone lying to me that I have good signal and not able to connect.
I have one bar at home also, which is about -110db for me. Speed test shows 5 down and 2.4 up then went into network communications issues.
I'm developing a test to check the bar signal from a phone.
I'm using the adb shell command dumpsys telephony.registry| grep -i signalstrength that gets me the dBm and asu.
Something like this, mSignalStrength=SignalStrength:SIM1 18 99 -120 -160 -3 0 -1 99 255 255 255 2147483647 gsm|lte -307 1 1
But I want to check the actual number of bars, is there some sort of "conversion"?
Also, I know the first number is the asu, but which one is the dBm? I'm reading from the android source code that there is cdmadBm and evodBm, what is the difference?
thanks in advance, guys

Hello,
I have a problem for a couple of weeks with my zenfone2 relative intensity of cell phone signal.
My operator is TIM Italy.
Often the signal, while I'm outside, goes to 1 or 2 bar and even to 0, giving me problems as I speak on the phone.
The network data only it works when it is in 4G/H when it should switch to 3G or Edge does not go for the 99% of the time and often have internet disabled or zero signal bar.
Sometimes, when, for example, I'm in a tunnel with car and the signal goes to zero, I can not more to hang on to the network having 0 bar signal and I have to reboot it 1-2-3 times.
I reset the phone to its original state but I do not think much has changed.
At this time, in my office I view 0 notches, rarely see 2 "connectionless data to the Internet."
The firmware version I have is: LRX21V.WW-ASUS_Z008-2.20.40.88.
Thanks for help because this is very much frustrating.
Try set cell data to 3G/2G only. Maybe 4G signal is not strong for you. I have almost the same problem but everything is working when I set it to 3G/2G only and not 4G
