Wireless Fast Charger ??? - LG G6 Accessories

Is there a wireless fast charger that works with the G6? Every ine I have tried only does standard charging. Even the Samsung works but it won't fast charge. Any options?

That seems to be the case with all fast chargers. Only Samsung can wireless charge from what I have seen even though they all advertise it

Yeah, mine also is charging pretty fast wirelessly. I have this one

Stupidly lg had a patent and released a video about their wireless fast charger bit out be out for the v30 im sure. https://www.google.com/amp/www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/lg-quick-wireless-charging-pad-news/amp/

Didnt know Spigen made one. Love their products. But I can see from the description, it only calls out Samsung products. I just purchases the Samsung wireless charger that came out with the S7. It works fine but no quick charge. I put my S8 on it and it says fast charging but then says it will take 2hrs to get full. It fast plugging in our phones

no, just the lightning bolt for charging. That's it. It's not "fast" charging wirelessly. But honestly, only about an hour, I can get a charge from about 35-40 %. But, when I plug in the cable the fast charge symbols show up. and it's DEFINITELY quicker.

That's exactly what I have been noticing. I tried both the G6 and S8 on the samesung charger: G6 said it was standard charging. THe S8 says its fast charging bu tells you it will take 2hr to go to full.
Wireless charging is great for overnight charging and that's it if you ask me

The LG G6 does NOT support fast (wireless) charging. So there isn't one it'll work with.
Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk

Wireless fast charging isn't really fast charging. Not the same way it is with wired fast charging at least.
I believe it only charges as fast as a regular charging cable, which is still faster than standard wireless charging.
Try using a regular non fast charging base, see what the charge time is, then try the fast charging wireless charger, if the times are similar, then it's fast charging.

Charging speed with a Quick Charge 2.0 adapter is as expected: excellent. It is in line with other phones with the same capability.

I'm not sure, but I've tested it with Aukey (wall) and Anker (car) chargers, both work fine with Quick Charge 2.0 speeds.
I charged with the official charger and a Iselector Qualcomm quick charge and nothing as well. Iselector worked on both the V10 and G4. Not sure why this is not working
Nevermind. Charging fast now. False Alarm lol
I thought the charging speed was great when I wasn't paying attention, but when I did actually pay attention and time it, it took about 1 hour and 40 minutes to fully charge. So, I would check into that. Also, the Robin doesn't seem to be USB-C Power Delivery Compliant to deliver the rapid charging like the Nexus 6p and Nexus 5x does, so getting fast charging from USB-C chargers that take USB-C to USB-C cables is useless, you'll get standard speeds. So please implement USB-C Power Delivery in the successor to the Nextbit Robin, so we can enjoy that fast charging technology as well, in addition to Qualcomm Quick Charge fast charging technology.
I am waiting for my Robin to be delivered. I am really confused about the charger. Does it show anything on the screen when a proper quick charge 2 charger is used. Like, in my Nexus 5X when I use original charger it shows "charging rapidly" but when I use another charger it shows "charging" or "charging slowly" depending on the source.
I'm from Bangladesh and it's hard to find a certified QC 2.0 charger. Is it ok if I buy a charger which is has 5V2A or 9V2A or 12V1.5A written on it?

What version of the os?
With a Qualcomm 3.0 charger and 3.0 cables, I get 2500ma speeds (12.5w). Only when charging from less than 50% though. The charging speed slows down as you approach 100%. The lock screen should say "charging rapidly" if it's working though.

Wireless Charging

Hello everyone,
I am planning to buy The Incipio offGRID™ Power Pack with wireless charging for my Moto Z Play, but I've just learned that the charger is sold seperately. I don't know much about wireless charging. So I have a few questions:
1. Does it charge fast? As far as I know it supports Qi 1.2.1 and PMA 3.0 and its charging rate is 5W. But I dont know what do these mean.
2. Is it reliable for overnight charging? My previous phone was LG G4 and while charging, because of the heat the motherboard broke down twice. So when I am sleeping, I want to make sure that it stops charging when the battery is full.
3. Which charging pad do you suggest for this phone? I don't want to pay much to wireless charger, but I also want to avoid from dangerous or slow ones. So I demand for a high price-performance ratio.
4. Other than the appearance, what are the differences between incipio, kate spade or tumi?
I also want your opinions and suggestions about anything on this topic
Thank you
I got a chi charger and it works fine for me. Charges fine over night. No heat problems.

5W = standard wireless charging speed. It's convenient but not fast.
As far as I know only Samsung Galaxy S7 series phones support the latest fast Qi wireless charging standard.
If I need fast charging I just plug it in. The wireless charging, it doesn't matter if it's regular speed charging because I'm sleeping.

Love the dash charging too. Such a big improvement for me. Plug it in, do some things, return and have a phone with at least 70 percent. Hell yeah. Good if you need to leave but dont have much time for charging. Even 10 minutes give you an enormous boost. Never want to miss that ^^
btw where can i rate this thread from the xda app??
i know its a silly Q but if i use a regular USB C cable , will the charge speeds be v slow or just a small % down
This dash charge is a real thing! 2-3 minutes gives you about 8-10%

Because of the fact that the adapter is the one that gives you much or less ampere i would say it does not depend on the cable. I.e. when i plug in the usb c cable from 1+ into my tablet adapter that has 2.5 Ampere Output im not on dash charging. It charges normal. The 1+ Adapter does have an output of 4 Ampere, so it gives you the Dash Charging.
So i would say the cable from 1+ IS a normal Usb c cable. (anyone proves me wrong??)
Greetings
Love the dash charge
Dash charge is great. Charge up my phone super fast. Love it.
DASH is definitely great in comparison to QC 2.0 and 3.0. I'm just concerned about battery durability since the battery is not easily removable.
On the ampere app the max input current I noticed was at 3510mA, which is pretty insane.
All in all, awesome technology.

Never touched a wireless charging thing. from my knowledge i would say it depends on the wireless protocol how fast it charges.
i can't give you any hints if wireless charging is better/faster then dash charging
there are also differences in dash/fast charging. look to other publisher like Huawei or zte. they have different charging times and what you get out of it in you battery.
Now i consider buying this one hahaha
Dash charging is genius. Letting my phone charge after work right now. Picked it up and it was stone cold. Love that. Left it on for onky 20 minutes and i got my 40% juice back easily. Its just great. I love this phone wholeheartedly.
The speed my phone charges at is insane. 30 min and I have at least 60% more battery.
Dash charging works great and overall charging speed is fine.

Wireless charging is more of a gimmick than anything else, it's much less effective and charging currency is about 200-400 milli amps per coil, so at best your can reach about 1 amp with a triple coil charger. ?
Actually, a single coil charger won't even trigger charging on this phone, tried it and it gives up on charging in like 0.2 seconds. ?

Yes, that can be a problem. Most QI charging isn't fast enough to keep up with navigation because of the battery drain.

I was wrong, the samsung old ones are 10w with fast charge. You might be able to find one, but wireless charging is never good for battery intensive applications. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWZqa3tT4NQ is a video to show how it works.

For me it is fine if the battery level at least stay the same and do not go lower when I am using the car charger during navi/music.
I can not find any info on how these China wireless chargers work for this task.
Has anyone found a magnetic dock that supports fast wireless charging? All the so called "best wireless chargers" articles seem to have the slow 5W charging car docks...
Yes,Me!
Hi. I am using a cheap ebay Chinese car wireless charger with the slim case on my s8 plus.
The phone ia slowly charging, but slowly discharging when using maps+youtube and high screen brightness.
Regards
Charge with slim case is Okay, but the farther your phone stays, the slower the speed will be. Most chargers will charge the devices within 8-10 mm max distance.
Recommend a charger with built-in fan for cooling. Search " B073XLKWFK" on Amazon US

Does the S9 support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 or 4.0+? Or even QC 3.0?

QC 2.0 in a 2018 flagship phone is blasphemy.
Apparently USB-PD is also supported but is throttled.
Seems like samsung is treading lightly when it comes to battery, who could blame them.
The Note 8 supports Power Delivery, so I assume the S9 will as well.

While I see that it only is rated for 2.0, I've gotten used to 3.0 with my LG phone. The G6 charges fairly quickly. I would miss the fast charging speeds if it isn't as fast as the LG.
I'm looking forward to any fast charging aspect since my current phone doesn't have any of those features. Since Apple hasn't "invented" it yet...

Oh yes... my bad forgot they do have that function, just with the included accessories it still doesn't "fast charge" because apple wants you to purchase the $30-50 cable or wall charger to make it happen.
I noticed that charging takes around 30mins longer on my s9 compared to my s7. I'm not sure if that's because it might have a bigger battery or they've purposely slowed down charging to prevent an explosion lol. The phone doesn't seem to heat up while charging like it did with my s7.

No, it is not. Not even my S7 Edge did that. Fast Charge stays regardles if you have the display on or of, if you're using the phone or not. I heard (but not confirmed tho) that this happens during WIRELESS CHARGING. This I don't know and cannot say if it is true or not. But the fast charge with the original Samsung wall charger will not switch from "fast" to "normal" unless it's an issue
When fast charging my charge voltage wont go above 7.5v when the QC2 spec alows 9v and 12v.
There was annoying sound coming out from the usb port of the S9+ when i plugged the device using Anker QC3 charger.

Curious to hear other experiences, but my T-Mobile S9+ is very erratic with PD support. Using Anker's latest five port charger with PD, my S9+ will start indicating "fast charging", but will always drop back to "cable charging" at a very slow speed. Hmm.

On my S7, and I'm pretty sure the Edge uses the same charging technology, it'll switch from [email protected],6A=~15W to [email protected]=~5W after I turn on the display, just because it says fast charging that doesn't mean it's actually doing that. Have you tried it yourself using a USB power meter ?
When it switches, the notification also change from "fast charging" to "cable charging" or something like this.
If it is still displaying "fast charge" I really doubt that Samsung would charge it normally. More than that, it would be something everybody will brag about and be a well known issue and it is the first time I hear about it. For wireless charging yes, I heard this...but never for cable charging.

There are results when you google it, for the S7 and S8, I guess it's not that big of a deal because it displays "fast charging" and because people expect the phone to charge slower when active. Fast charging while being used was also the big selling point for "Dash charge" the fast charging tech from OnePlus.
It also says so in the manual on Page 12 :"You cannot use the fast charging feature when the screen is turned on. Turn off the screen to increase the charging speed" http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...G935_UM_EU_Marshmallow_Eng_Rev.1.0_160219.pdf
But to see it with your own eyes, just get yourself a cheap USB power meter and measure it
