Galaxy note 2 charging help

Just unboxed note 2 ..
I wana know how much time it takes to full charge from zero?
And this is my first use ..how much should I charge?
In the mains about 2-3 hours. Double that via usb. But it lasts a hell of a long time in fairness.

Should I charge for 6 to 8 hours
Ah that's a coincidence.
A few days ago I measured the time it took per minute to charge with the included adapter (which is 2A); it charges 0,93% p/minute. So it takes 107,5 minutes to full charge.
With a 1A adapter it charges 0,54% p/minute (185,2 minutes for a full charge).

Modern li-ion batteries dont need that long first charge.. it was only needed with nimh batteries.
but it wont hurt. i allways make the first 3 charges long and allways try to get down the battery to 20% before i charge.
better to be safe then sorry
Battery of my Note 2 take 3 to 4 hours to charge dont know how you guys manage it in 107 minutes! Tested the charger to be sure but i think its allright.
The battery is fine too, it lasts 8 hours of use without charging. and 4 to 5 hours of use time and 20 hours standby (24 hours total) with light use i get round 3 hours screen on time and 48 hours standby.
But charging it in 1.5 hours.... no way! It takes more then 8 hours to charge in an USB port

usb port around 8 hours sounds normal to me as 5v 500ma, and mains charger is 2A and I get about 1.5 - 2 hours fully charged from dry

Normal charger takes 4 to 6 hours to charge. even when Phone is off. i tried using another 2Amp wall charger and replaced the battery. also reseted to factory default.
All with no luck. I dont know whats wrong bu i think its in the software. because when charged allot on USB or short charges when only 10% charging. the software/battery seems to fail to give the right amount of power. and the calibration is off. Sometimes when i have 20% left and reboot the Phone it all of a sudden has 30% or more.
Since the latest update this has become worse and worse.
The battery is easily lasting 24 hours with 4 to 6 hours screen on time. so i think there is no power draining going on.
I really think its an error in the note 2 software. i read allot about people having the same issue and need to charge their Phone for hours only to see its charged 50%.

[Q] Charging time ?!

Hello Guys
I just wonder ..
How long does it take to charge Note 2 from 0% to 100%..
I hope someone give me accurate answer because I don't like phone take soo long in Charging ...
cheers ..:silly:
It takes 2.5 hours.
2.5 hours

2.5 to 3 hours if you use the Samsung charger and cable that came with it (with a 2A output). Up to 12 if you use a standard charger that outputs only 500 mA.
Charge full 2, 5 at 3 hours.

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Sony Xperia XZ Premium can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Qnovo Adaptive Chargen very useless. This phone charge 3 hours 30 minutes.

Before saying such things, do you even have any idea why this happens? Don't post something like this like is a con when you don't know why this happens. Also you can disable it easily if you don't like it.

Yes i know "Battery Care" function. I Turned off.
I tried a lot cable and charger but i give always 3 hours 30 minutes.
Because this phone has got QNOVO Adapdive Charge technology for battery life.
But, that's why:
%1 percent to %51 charged with 2380mA
%51 percent to %60 charged with 1990mA
%60 percent to %70 charged with 1510mA
%70 percent to %75 charged with 1220mA
%75 percent to %80 charged with 1020mA
%80 percent to %83 charged with 920mA
%83 percent to %85 charged with 720mA
%85 percent to %87 charged with 620mA
%87 percent to %100 charged with 530mA
Totally full charge 3 hours 30 minutes.

One phone and this support Quick Charge 3.0
But!!
3 hours 30 minutes charging time (Oneplus: 1 hours 28 minutes, Galaxy S8 1 hours 41 minutes, HTC U11 1 hours 44 minutes)
We dont need QNOVO for 2/3 months extra battery life.

If you charge it to 100% (and discharge it to 0%) every day then you will not extend your battery life for sure... If the charging time is the most important to you, get OP5 or S8 and stop moaning. And 3 hours and 30 minutes? LOL...

3:30? I got it with UCH12 and it was charged from 1% to 100% in 2:38. I only tested it once as I don't let it go under 30% and I charge it max 87-90%

Battery Care open 3.30
Closed 2.40
To be honest I'd rather wait longer for the phone to charge than damaged the battery over time. I rarely go below 50% and charge above 80%. This way the wear to the battery is minimal

I had the same results when i made a full charge with the uch 12 charger. Most people say that the 40% to 80% rule is the best for the longlivety of the battery, but i perform the 30% to 90% rule as well because it lasts me almost 2 days with a normal use.
This phone lasts me forever, so I don't care that it doesn't charge 80% in 15 minutes. I just wish it had the time to full charge listed like my old SGS6 or that it would at least have a notification somewhere that you were in fact rapidly charging (again, like Sammy phones).
Less than 3 hours to charge from 5% to 100% as you can see in the attached image
I use a aukey power charger with quick charge 3.0 and an Anker USB 3 cable

with battery care on, I also got approx. 2:45 with UC12 and also charged from 1%, I often charge from 15% and got approx. 2:35 fully charged.
Hahahaha... I bought a 3A "fast charging kit" yesterday, because I was by friends and forgot my charger. Manufacturer is "hama". It looks really nice and like it's good quality. But... Hell... 2% in 19 minutes? WTF?! Hahaha... I think this is ultra fast charging gone wrong.
You all are stupid. Turn off battery care and you will charge it for 1:15 to 1:30 h with Sony UCH12W.

Battery care is disabled since I bought my XZP ? I think it's a compatibility problem with my hama charger. The Sony charger does it's job really fast ?
I think that Sony UCH12W is the best charger for Sony XPERIA XZ Premium
My XZ premium went from 4% to 100% in 1hr30 using the standard UCH12W and UCB20 cable.
Xperia XZ Premium charging query?
Hi burakkcbyk
Are the figures you stated below specifically for the Xperia XZ Premium? I ask as I had an online chat with Sony today and they were next to useless. The advisor told me the phone actually draws 2.8a @ 5w, but this doesn't make sense when the mains charger supplied can only provide 2.7a @ 5w. Furthermore, the official Sony in-car charger can only push 2.4a @ 5w. So, with your figures below it seems to me as if the phone actually only draws 2.4a maximum anyway?
Kind regards
Dave

Yes bro. This values for XZP

20 x Not charging properly.

I am getting a very slow charging rate. I have plugged in a device that shows USB volts and amps coming out of the USB port. I am getting a maximum of 5.22 volts and 1.9 amps when charging anywhere from 30% to 99%. It varies, but these are the maximums. I Plugged the charger in through a Watt Meter and it read a consistent 9 Watts. This is much different from the 22.5 Watts advertised. I registered the charging rate from 31% to !00% as follows.
Start 31%
30 min 38%
60 min 58%
90 min 87%
120 min 97%
125 min 100%
Is this normal or is my 20x charging very slowly?
I purchased a second authentic 20x charger and got the same results.
Possible issue wuth your device, without checking the wattage etc but my phone charges up very quickly as it has since day 1
Will someone PLEASE run a charge test from 30% to 100% and record 30 minute intervals and tell me if my charge rate recorded above are normal or not?
I also dont have issue in charging
Are you using a 5A cable?
yes

If it says "speed charging " or something like that it works fine. I noticed it can also be the theme that will show just "charging" but the charge is still the same does not affect it

Fast charge damage your battery?

So, I bought this smartphone in December 2019, I charge the phone only once a day and I don't use it during charging. I always only used the charger in box the 30w . I always try to keep the battery between 80-20%. And very rarely do I charge up to 100%. When I do I have around 9/10 sot.
So, 4 days ago, I installed the "accubattery" APP just to check the battery status after 4 full charges says that I have 90% of the initial battery capacity ... I thought something was wrong and uninstalled the app and reinstalled it today, charged from 10 to 100% and says I have 88% of the initial capacity left.
Does anyone have this app and the results are like this or did you notice something like this?
Is it because of the fast charge?
Can anyone give tips on how to take better care of the battery?
Same problem here with battery, the app show me values in health under 90, but performance and durability is fine.
Maybe it is because of fast charge, I'm gonna try disable it
