Did you wipe all data/ factory and cache reset twice, as suggested in the thread?

Yup, i did. No change
Hey, i finally get the original system working again.
Despite the errors in the recovery i flashed the MCU successfully to the newest version.
But the errors remain. When i try to flash another system (update.img) the errors go on
and the flash procedure stops with the info to restart and try again. Some error that says
something could not be mounted and/or accessed.
Maybe this helps.

Hello Everyone!
Quick question, I was reading the KFFB and all that, but couldnt find an answer that pertained to my situation.
I decided to sell my KF which is currently running cm9. The person I am selling it to wants it to continue to have cm9, but I need to clearly, remove all my data from it.
If i perform a factory reset within the Rom, am I going to lose the Gapps, market, or anything like that? Is there a quick way to wipe the sd card and data from the KF without any additional risk?
I was hoping to maybe just use the in rom wipe function instead of TWRP, I figured that might work flawlessly.
Thanks in advance,
-Junt
Edit: I am running cm9 reloaded
Ok guys, the plot thickens. I went ahead and tried to factory reset from within the ROM, and it doesnt work. It just reboots. Any advice ?
Get into TWRP, wipe cache, dalvik-cache, SD Card and Factory Reset.
Thanks, trying that now, think I need to reinstall gapps?
Edit: NVM, everything looks perfect, thanks so much! Just in the knick of time too.

No need, they're in /system/app, so they'll be there so long as you don't wipe System or install a different ROM.

hmmm.. really depends on you personally.. i hate sense..i prefer the stock look as google envisioned it
I Use TeamNDVRu CM9
with
franco kernel
mostly everything works..
if you still want a Sense look, then id say Android Revolution HD
PS: Read everything carefully so you don't brick your device
Many thanks, will do.

sir, sorry for troubling you again.
the problem is still not solved
I was using Slim bean for a quite a long time. Last month I changed my ROM to shpongle. since then the problem has started.
I found out that GPS doesnt work in shpongle so I wanted to revert back to slim bean. so i did full wipe, factory reset, dalvik cache. installed zip from SD card, flashed the boot.img file. but it was stuck at android screen (startup screen of slim)
so i reinstalled shpongle.
now today i wanted to install samsung ROM but the same problem showed up. so I had to again install Shpongle.
now i tried the boot.img provided by you, tried factory reset, but the problem is still there. Can you help out?
thanks in advance

haha i knew it!
yea no probs!
My boyfriend's Gnex was having problems so I told him to update his phone. We were both using Rufdroid and since I wanted to try a new rom with 4.3 OS I flashed my phone first. I went quite nicely and I'm loving PA3+ right now. Problem is when my bf flashed his gnex following the same steps I did with mine, his home soft key and most apps aren't working. he tried to reflash the rom and reinstall the apps but it's still the same. how can I fix this??
Did he dirty flashed the ROM?

I followed the steps on the PA3+ thread here.

What he meant was did he not do a factory reset, clear cache and clear dalvik when he flashed the ROM?
You have to do a factory reset which deletes the previous OS (including all your apps) then only flash PA3+.
Factory Reset ALONG with SYSTEM wipe
he did all that

System wipe is wasted step. The install script formats the /system partition for you.
Factory reset alone is sufficient for a new ROM flash.

Got the problem solved. I changed the recovery from TWRP to CWM and reflashed the rom. There was an error during the installation, but now it's working great.
Anyway, thanks for your help. :good:
Can anyone let me know the best way I can locate the cause of my note 2 freezing up occasionally so I know what I need to do to remedy it?
Try going into recovery and wiping the cache and Dalvik cache
Don't do a system wipe.

Hey GR,
I did attempt this previously see if this helps but no luck :-/
Any other suggestions?
Factory reset
or
You could try and re-flash stock ROM with ODIN.

I was hoping Factory Reset wasn't gonna be needed if I can locate the culprit (If its an app that is).
I have got it rooted so I can flash the rom I have on it again or a different one. I currently have Ditto Note 3 installed v3.2.1
I am thinking you are about to experience sudden death, where the memory fails. It's what happened to mine before it died
But try re-flashing first. Use latest stock for your phone. Check Sammobile for the latest

Oh I hope its not a memory failure :-/
I'll try a re-flash first after backing up and go from there.
Thanks GR.
