Hey folks, I've been creating nightlies for Toro unofficially and thought I'd give toroplus a try. NOTE: I do not own this device, so I haven't tested these builds... please create a backup before flashing!
I'm just trying to help out the PA team. I'll post a build whenever I see changes on the github that seem worthwhile, or whenever the PA team posts a changelog to google+. Without further ado...
ROM: http://d-h.st/bSC
GAPPS: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps/pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130610-signed.zip
ALTERNATE GAPPS: http://d-h.st/ZI5 - USE THESE IF YOU WANT CM'S CAMERA or if you want a slimmer GAPPS package
Changelog - since last nightly:
Added in CM's Privacy Guard. Fixed some issues with MMS by switching to CM's MMS with PA mods.
Changes made to stock AOSPA:
LTE toggle added
Bluetooth audio quality fix added, coming up with a flashable zip to revert if this causes disconnects for you.
Now using CM's Camera for some of the awesome features they've added
CM's framework/native to pull in the proper heap size - props to wastedlife for bringing the issue to my attention
Pulled in the HALO app, and kept ParanoidWallpapers
Modified MMS app to add emoji support (cherry-picked from PA, based on CM's MMS)
Added in CM's Privacy Guard
Bluetooth audio quality revert: Only flash if you have issues with disconnects! http://www.d-h.st/8kr
Bugtracker: http://colormeparanoid.com
Gerrit: http://gerrit.colormeparanoid.com
Google+: https://plus.google.com/107979589566958860409/posts
This is meant to be a helpful, supplemental thread. I am not a member of PA. I'll be happy to help anyone with issues...

Glad it's working for you guys! Thanks for the reports back. On toro, we're seeing GPS wakelocks on some devices. I added info to the OP. To get deep sleep, open maps and get a GPS lock or turn off GPS. This appears to be a 4.2.2 issue...

Thanks. I had been thinking about looking into what would be involved in compiling my own so I could now or less stay up to date with the PA team's releases. What um wondering is how turnkey does the process become after you've gotten everything set up and successfully compiled the first time? Provided sprint hasn't released updated proprietary vendor files from your previous builds, do you just sync with the asopa repo and run your the same build script or can PA updates break the initial toroplus-specific modifications required to build and each time you have to go line by line through xml framework files and smali code or whatever making changes by hand?
PS have your build up and runoff and everything seems good. Thanks again

It's actually SUPER easy. PA has an awesome build config. The proprietaries come from CM, and I didn't really need to do any modifications, except to fix one or two issues. DSPManager doesn't work by default (you just specify an older version), and the default kernel in the main branch doesn't work, so you specify the staging branch. There's a really nice guide available, and I'd be glad to help anybody get going
PA just posted a changelog: https://plus.google.com/107979589566958860409/posts/MdcqFuj7ph1
Of the things listed, the only thing this rom doesn't have is the single finger notification expansion, it still requires 2 fingers. Single finger coming tomorrow!
Thanks for this, love frequent ROM updates. Just wondering if you are planning on ever using goo.im, only wondering because of the update notifications.

I've thought about it. Don't know what it entails though. I would like it because it seems better structured. I'll take a look, thanks for prompting me!
EDIT: Looked into it briefly. Since I'm not on the PA team, I don't qualify to use goo.im. It was a nice thought though!

Dled and preparing to flash. Thanks for your response to my previous building questions, and your now posting a subsequent build is the perfect opportunity for a clarification follow-up: can you list the exact process you followed to compile this latest build excluding any actions/setup performed prior to your first build but not repeated for build two? Just trying to get clear which of the steps you listed in your first reply are one-time versus all-times. Thanks

Hi there,
I'm trying to install paranoid android or pacman on the Nexus 7 2013 deb (LTE) - however:
- Pacman results in blame tyler
- Paranoid Android doesn't seem to have an image for "deb", the flo version doesn't work but gets stuck
Can anyone help?

Look at the index for Roms, that would be easier...
And fastboot flash the included kernel in the rom you choose before flashing the actual rom via recovery...
Better to do full wipe beacuse of bugs...
Edit:
This is a dev section, don't just create a thread just to ask questions...
Try to go to Q&A =)
I used the nightly pacman builts, it's working now

There are ZL cm11 nightlies as well... though I don't see alot of activity in the CM11 thread... I haven't tried it myself at this point... (I did something screwy when I first tried the Omni 4.4 rom - think it may have been my gapps I installed - which bootlooped my phone. I haven't tried it again since...)

Ah my apologies, i wasn't clear, i was pointing towards these Roms-
[ROM] [Stable #2] [KitKat] [Official] [Z] [BeanStalk-4.4015] [06-DEC]
and
[KitKat][4.4.1][Omni]Team Asylum Omni 4.4.1 Naughties™ - Slim, Fast and Black Rum™
It would be nice to have a slimbean build for the ZL... (I ran that for a while on the S3...)
The Xpertia TX users have a patch, that can convert just about any Xperia T rom to one suiting their phone. I wonder if its possible for us to get the same as our hardware is almost identical.

which of 4.4 roms is best for battery life?
NONE of this roms will give you more juice, but the kernel and its settings will! So learn how to use your kernel and all its options and then you'll get best battery life.

Sorry my mistake.
using the mokee rom, 2/14 release, battery life is ok , averaging out at about 13 percent usage per hour, 22 hour max, after a whole day of heavy usage, which is a whole lot better than stock.
i am sticking with this mokee for everyday use as the camera and autofocus is working. was having camera trouble with a bunch of other roms, and it's really sad because e975's camera wasn't that great to begin with.
observation, i don't know if its better coding by the rom makers but 3g connection speed, in particular youtube and radio streaming apps' buffering seems super fast now, with mokee and other roms i've tried.
Since i can't post in the development forum yet as i don't have 10 posts, i have a question that i wonder if anyone is able to answer. I was wondering if the newest version of W03's rom supports the new version of temasek's kernel yet, or if it is still limited to version 2.03
Thanks in advance
lil help maybe
