Hi All,
I'm having issue with the latest lineageos nightly when making calls. I can make and receive calls but after a minute or so they can't hear me or I can't hear them, it does it everytime.
I have sinced flashed stock firmware and everything functions fine. Started again rooting, twrp, flash ROM and I get the same issue. Also my home button wouldn't turn the screen on..
Always full wipe, dalvik etc.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey ive currently started receiving an issue where my phone screen turns off when you ring someone or receive a call, its like it automatically senses something touching it as if it was on my ear.
I've reformatted and tried it with cm7 nightly it worked but now its doing the same thing.
Also the initial HTC screen freezes whenever i try and boot into the recovery.
Thanks in advance
what radio and/or kernel did you flash prior or did you have this problem fresh-out-of-the-box?
I didnt flash a kernel or radio, prior to installing the new cm7 nightly, i had the cm 6 stable
plus i tried to install gapps a numerous amount of times and it still wont install my market :/
Hey everyone.
Running CM 7.1 RC.
Everything is fine except:
I can't for the life of me answer calls. Everytime I answer, the speakers just don't work/connect. There is complete silence and no Static or signal to indicate that the speaker is working.
I
This is without any headsets.
The only thing I can think is the Scripts for Dolby (Dolby A, Dolby V etc) possibly interferring; But those scripts when running, were fine in other releases and in other roms.
Tried different with Kernals (LordMod) - No luck
Its proper weird as I have reflashed the CM 7.1 ROM again and the answer function works for a while only to revert back to not working again.
I can make calls fine though. Just answering them is the issue; I'm using up my minutes this way!
I am not using nor installed CallRecorder or any such software.
Any help please people? Much appreciated.
Any suggestions please?
Have you tried a clean wipe (that's wipe data cache + formatting the system partition) and then installing a stock rom or a rom that has not been worked on too much.
I know this is a lame way but it could work. The reason I'm saying this is because a lot of issues people have can easily be pointed to the wipe not being done properly before rom flashing.
hi, after flashing any aosp rom (slim rom, cm, paranoid, ...) my microphone is dead. i don't hear the other caller and he can't hear me. the microphone is fine because when i flash a tw rom afterwards everything works fine again. interestingly the mic works after the first restart after the flashing. as soon as i restart for a second time the mic is dead.
it does not matter wheater i flash with clockwork mod or twrp. i always make a full wipe (cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, internal memory, rom; basically all reset options twrp offers) before installing the new rom. i install the new rom (any aosp rom) with a new kernel that fits the android number and the correct gapps. sometimes i used the old kernel but it makes no difference regarding the mic.
i don't think i make anything wrong during the process because everything else works just fine. so far i always ticked the box to restore data with my google account, can this be the problem.
any clues where i go wrong? i hope someone can help me with that problem because i love my note 2 but i hate tw.
thanks in advance.
I have been looking for a solution to this problem for weeks and have found nothing that will fix it.
I am currently on CM11-M3, and have had the problem since 10.2. No matter what ringtone I select it will not play during an incoming call.
I have been testing with wheresmycellphone.com. Ehen a call comes in the phone will vibrate once and very rarely the ringtone will play for a fraction of a second, but most of the time there is no sound. I have noticed that the mute icon (speaker with a line through it) flashes in the notification area briefly the second the phone starts ringing.
Does it be behave the same way on other custom and stock ROMs?
Are you clean flashing?

I dirty flashed 10.2 from 10.1, I did a clean install when I switched to CM11, every flash since has been with a cache/dalvik wipe. I have not yet tried a rom beyond CM.
You should try another ROM, even if it is based on CM11 to see what happens.

I will when I get a moment. I need to be accessible for work right now so I can't risk any excessive off time just yet.

Well, I finally got off my ass to try fixing this again. I was going to try installing SlimKat, and as prep I wiped cache, dalvik and then factory reset. I rebooted to try receiving a call before I started work on flashing the rom and the phone now rings fine. I have no idea what changed, I had tried a factory reset on M2 and it didn't fix the issue. This is the first factory reset I applied to M3 though.
After upgrading to the FOH3 firmware and then flashing on TWRP and Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly, my phone worked great for days. One day for no apparent reason I could no longer transmit audio when making phone calls on the default phone app. It will connect, and disconnect if the other party hangs up. My speaker, mic, and 4g are working.
I wiped everything TWRP lets me besides MicroSD.
I tried a firmware double-flash and using clean stock install.
I went as far as T-mobile support can.
I'm looking to see if there is a more comprehensive wipe I can do. Perhaps the error exists in an area TWRP doesn't reach. Please give me any ideas.
