Hey guys
yesterday i bought the Samsung Tab 3 10.1 P5200 for a few bucks. the performance was really bad and the battery jumped to zero in a second. so i flashed the TWRP 3.0.2 "Santos" Recovery via Odin and started the recovery after this. but there is the problem, i can only install roms cia an external SD CARD. there is no internal option in the TWRP.
is there a possibility to instal the CM 13.0 Rom, Houdini and gApps without a SD Card? could you tell me how?
Thanks a lot

In TWRP, go to Mount and try to mount "data". Also, go in Advanced and copy the Log to SD Card (Actually it will copy it on /sdcard) and send the log here.

I rooted my S3 without problems. Then I went to install Wicked ROM but I couldn't access the sd card to install it, it kept failing to mount the card. I installed the ROM from the internal memory fine, but I still can't access the SD card. Every time I choose mount in settings it tries to mount but ultimately fails. How do I fix this?
Ok I didn't realize it was formatted as exFAT which isn't supported. Is there an alternative to Team Epic's CWM that does support it?

Get GooManager open it up and hit the menu button and choose install custom recovery. It will install TWRP recovery. TWRP stands for TeamWin Recovery Project...I think lol
Thanks, I'll check it out.
Hi all,
I am new to the android scene as I switched lateley from iPhone to the Samsung S4 mini LTE. I am glad to have the possibilities to tweak my phone and this was the main reason to switch
But! I'am done with the bloatware and want to install a new rom.
I would love to install [ROM][Android 4.3.1] SlimBean build.1.8-UNOFFICIAL GT-I9195 S4 Mini LTE on my S4 mini, but I don't know at what stage I have to start.
So far I have rooted my device allready a few weeks ago. At this moment I have:
Android 4.2.2
Baseband I9195XXUAMF5
Kernel: 3.4.0-g73af9ca ([email protected] #1)
Buildnumber JDQ39.I9195XXUAMF5
Status SELinux: Permissive
Secure Boot status: Samsung
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.3
When I am in Recovery mode, I get an error "Error mounting /external_sd!" when I try to mount it.
What do you people advise me?
1) make a complete clean install of my phone with the original firmware delivered by Samsung? And then what?
2) make a "wipe data/factory reset" with CWM? and then what?
3) Place the Slim Bean ROM on the external SDcard and then what? (I can't mount my ext_SD at this moment with CWM 6.0.3.3
I hope you can help me out with this!
Greetings from a newbie
1. Redo your rooting procedure to update your CWM recovery to 6.0.3.7
2. Make a backup of everything you need within your current ROM.
3. You can optionally make a backup using CWM as well. (Will take a while and recommend to store it in your external SD)
4. Download the SlimBean ROM into your external SD
5. Download the GApps zip into your external SD
6. Restart in CWM Recovery
7. Wipe data & factory reset
8. (Optionally) go to mounts & storage and format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) - this wipe your INTERNAL SD card.
9. Once done, install zip from external sd and select the SlimBean ROM zip.
10. Once that is done, install zip from external sd and select the GApps zip.
11. Reboot and enjoy

Thanks a lot for this description! Step one succeeded, I have now a fresh CWM (6.0.3.7)
Unfortunately I've got a problem with step 9 (skipped step 7 and 8 to check if it's now possible to mount external SD in CWM) but it is not possible to mount my external SD. Do I need to use a blanc SD card? On which filesystem do I have to format it?
It is very strange, but with my previous CWM version it wasn't neither possible to mount my external SD card.
I think there seems to be a problem with my 64gb micro sd xc, because with my 32gb micro sd card it is possible to mount it..
Thanks again!
It may not be able to handle the 64gb card even though the specs says it can.
Sandisk 64GB SDXC is known for almost always does NOT work propperly with SAMSUNG devices. Had one of these that never made it in the S4 and the S4mini. Just use any different SD card.

the i9195 can handle 64GB SDXC. But not the ones from Sandisk. Same thing with the big S4.

It is very strange, because with the original bloatware from Samsung there wasn`t any problem to use this Kingston card...
I think I have to downgrade to 32GB for the time being.. Which 64gb card do you folks advise me to buy to work in my S4 mini?
Hi everyone,
So I had CM10.1 and an older version of clockworkmod (about 1 year old) on my sgs3 sphl710 until last night.
I flashed to the newest stable clockworkmod using ROM manager, downloaded Slimkat 4.4.2 3 official and slim gapps, wiped data/dalvik/cache, flashed slimkat, then flashed slim gapps.
Everything went fine until I tried to look at my pictures on the internal SD card.. They weren't in the gallery! So I checked the simple file manager to see if I could access them through a different means and when I tried to view the files on the internal SD card it says "Cannot read folder due to permissions". I can access the external SD card with no issues.
How do I get permission to see my files again??? !
Thanks!
Flash your backup and see if it opens up? If it does save it to your comp then download it to your current ROM.
What recovery are you using? I would use the latest CWM for KK.
Upon investigation, I'm using CWM 6.0.4.5
I am going to try and flash the backup and see if that works.. Fingers crossed.
One annoying thing I've found with CWM on my GS3 was that every time I did a Factory reset, it would move everything on my internal SD card to a folder called 0. At one point after doing a lot of flashing back and forth, my pics were in /sdcard/0/0/0/0/0/0/DCIM. Check to see if CWM did this to you. It could all be in that 0 folder now.
You should be able to fix your permissions in CWM under Advanced -> Fix Permissions.

Hello everyone,
the following happend:
everything was ok
bought a sdcard, inserted and cm ask how i want to use it, i selected: use as internal memory (cm moved 17 gb to it)
want to boot to twrp, and get stuck at twrp logo, every time i try
removed sdcard and retry.... it works
My stats:
Device: d855
OS: CM13 (A6.0.1)
Default Kernel
TWRP: 3.0.0
SD Card: Samsung 64gb
What i tried:
reflash twrp (not solved the problem)
boot to twrp without sd, then inserted sd, and tried to mount .... cannot mount :/
somebody has an idea ?
It because using SD card as internal storage is broke. Most custom ROMs have a lot of issues with it and in stock Android it has issues as well. This is why LG and Samsung have it disabled. I would recommend you use it a external storage.

Ok thx, to make it work again I have to factory reset & clean install rom, right?

You should be able to format it in settings under storage.
Do a clean install will not reformat the SD card.
A clean install wouldn't hurt after you format the SD card.
