I don't think so. Search for any apps that can provide you with notifications.

You can use the notifier pro app.It works very well. ?
I tried many notifier apps.. actually the "notifier pro app" suggested by rajat doesn't use the down slide notification panel..
The others I tried that should do it, don't work on Nokia X except 2:
-Super Status Bar... but it lock and crash the phone (I had to remove battery to unlock the phone)
-Inoty, it works PERFECTLY. With the down slide you will se a panel with two tabs, the first contains the calendar and other things. Going right you will se the second tab with all the notifications. If you go in the notifications tab and slide up the panel, everytime you slide it down again you will see directly the notifications tab (and not the calendar tab). Inoty panel will appear instead of normal Nokia X status panel, in Inoty panel there aren't the switches for wifi, bluetooth etc.. but it's sufficient to slide down again from the top of the screen to switch to the normal Nokia X status panel where you can find the missing buttons.

Disable Heads Up notification

I'm testing out a Moto Z Play at the moment, so no root or custom rom yet. As always since they were introduced, I'm having trouble with heads up notifications. Is there a way to get rid of them. One click disable all, not the by app method that Nougat offers?
Is this possible with a custom rom? If I keep the phone I will root it anyway, so this would be nice to know.
Swipe down notification, long press the clog button to activate System UI Tuner. Go to settings, scroll down>system ui tuner>other>power notification controls>turn it on.

In your phone, go in settings and click on power option, in that select background app management and disable the app for which you want to receive notifications for.
Else go to notification center in settings and check whether you have blocked the app from receiving any notifications from that particular app..
Thanck you it work

Turn off text message preview

On the Moto Z2 play I cannot figure out how to change the notification setting so that when I receive a text I do not get a preview of it in the notification bar. Is there anyway this can be done? I just want a notification I got a text not a preview of the message. Help!

One way to turn it off is to do so in the display part in the Moto app; go into Moto Display, select More Settings (in blue text), then Block apps and choose whichever messaging app you use / are blocking.
Hope this is what you need.
Didn't work
Just tried doing this and it didn't change anything at all.

Why are the icon badge notification previews gone?

Anyone notice that when you long press icons with notification badges on them you no longer see the notifications just the shortcuts?
I really enjoyed the ability to long press icons to see a notification description that I could click to access or swipe away. The one thing Android did way better than iOS. Now when I long press I just see shortcuts meaning I have to go in the app and sometimes I don't even see what the notification is for. This is really disappointing.
Anyone know when this functionality disappeared? Or did I change something in my settings by mistake? Is there a way to get this functionality back?
I'm using the s20 ultra SD with the one UI launcher if that helps.
Any help would be appreciated.

My Savior! You my friend are a prince among men. Thanks a million.
I recently did a factory reset to start fresh because restoring from a Samsung backup made my battery pretty awful. I totally forgot about that settings.
Thanks again.:victory:
