The phone was never dropped, sound works perfect on Skype calls or whats up calls, voice recorder or anything else, as i mentioned before sound not working ONLY on cellular calls! neither external speaker, i can talk only with Bluetooth connected.

I'm expwriencing the same issue. I did some search for older threads and found a couple of aolutions. One guys solved the problem by changing motherboard from a used ebay phone. Another guys changed the sim card reader. I was running CM13 when this happened flashed stock latest stock firmware with odin and issue still persists, is definately a hardware problem. Everything began after droping my phone at work.

[Q] Phone hangs after calls

My phone have been acting strange for awhile now. Sometimes after I end a call the phone seams to lock itself så I can't recive or make calls or sms.
It does'nt happen all the time and it started when my phone was completly stock aslo.
I've tried diffrent roms without any change. Did a factory reset today and did'nt install anything and it still happend.
Got a tip to try another SIM card but it seams my kids have lost it somewhere so I can't do that now.
Also had it sent to service and they changed the motherboard on the phone, so it should'nt be hardware related either.
Any other tips perhaps?
No ideas what this can be?
I have to restart my phone like 15-20 times a day because of this problem

I cannot understand what you mean by "lock itself", is your phone getting frozen? does it disconnect from network? does it just simply stay connected and do nothing when you dial/sms?
I think this info can help people directing you in the right direction...
When I end the call the phone icon stays in the notificationbar for like 15 seconds and after that I can't call or send sms.
Only way to get it working again is to reboot the phone.
I can still check e-mails and use browser when it happens, so it's only calls and sms that's not working.
Tried to format my memorycard today to see if it helps.
For some reason it seams to be working better when I'm at home and use WiFi.
Could it be that when I'm talking on the phone and it tries to sync something it happens? But when WiFi is on it works anyway? But it's a workphone so I don't use it much at home so that could be it too
If you are not using 3g/HSPA data and only using WiFi, it is worth putting your phone into 2g network only and see if that helps the issue.
You can do that in wireless and network setting, mobile network and chose GSM only.
Guess I could try that to. Question is what to do if it work.
Seams pointless to have a smartphone without 3g.
Or is there something more then the motherboard that could be changed perhaps?

If switching to 2g works, either it is a Radio problem/Network compatibility problem or hardware. I would suggest contacting HTC again and see they have an option to change something else.
Tried this week with mobile internet turned of and the phone worked like a charm then.
Think it could be the sim card that causes that?
Gonna try contacting htc again and see if there is anything else that could cause it.
Have been trying different radios aswell without luck.

[Q] I have to get a new SIM card with a Rooted phone

My current SIM card isn't functioning correctly. I have CDMA version. I'm pretty sure I have to unroot my GN to do the factory reset to accept the new SIM card. What is the best way to restore all my data afterwards? I have a current Titanium Backup and Nandroid backup. Will either of these interfere with the new SIM card?

If you call Verizon they will mail you a sim card and you can just pop it into the phone and it'll work rooted or not. Only downside is waiting for it to ship. As far as restoring neither should interfere. I have used titanium after getting a new sim before with no issues.

I just went to a Verizon store and they gave me a new SIM card and activated it. Thanks for your advice, I didn't need to unroot or do a factory reset. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Have you or anyone else heard of this- when on a phone call, usually longer calls, people will no longer be able to hear me at all, but I can hear them perfectly. Or I start breaking up really bad, then they can't hear me at all, but they are crystal still clear and I have plenty of bars. It's not the phone mic either, it happens when I use my bluetooth speaker in the car.

The BT device is most likely picking up interference. What sort of BT setup do you have?
I'm not sure the differences in bt setups. But I don't think it's the bt though, cause it does it more often without the bluetooth even on. I think it's a software issue. Any ideas?
The problem with your voice cutting out is a common and well documented issue. It unfortunately happens with my fiance's verizon nexus quite often.

[Q] Bluetooth works but suddenly causes bootloop. Is this due to faulty firmwares?

Hey guys, I bought a Galaxy Nexus almost a week back but as its not launched officially in India its not under warranty and so I can't get it replaced.
Out of the box it came with ICS. Everything was going fine including Bluetooth file transfers. But the phone went to a boot loop (stuck at boot animation) when I tried to activate Bluetooth. Mind you that Bluetooth had been working fine, I got this issue all of a sudden.
I went into recovery mode and recovered my phone but all data was lost.
Later I updated to official stock ICS. Again the Bluetooth worked fine for few days and later suddenly went into a boot loop. I recovered my phone but this time too lost all my data.
Now I'm obviously very scared to use Bluetooth. Some people say that its a faulty firmware and I should flash another firmware.
What shall I do? Could this really be a firmware issue? And if yes then which firmware shall I flash and how to flash?
Currently I'm on stock JB on my GSM GNex which is unrooted and has a locked boot loader.

Never heard of this. With all data lost, do you mean the /sdcard partition as well?
I'm sorry I didn't get you. GNex doesn't have a SD card slot, right?

Correct. That's why I said partition.

Well this is my first Android so I don't know much about partitions.
Well when I wipe my phone / factory reset, ALL my data gets removed including images, music, videos, contacts, messages, calendar events, 3rd party apps, etc.
Someone please help.
Bluetooth Boot Loop
Im having the same problem.. Please let me know if you found a solution.. I'll give you update if I find one myself..
The list of Android units that I have encountered this was with
2 units of Asus TF101G and 1 unit TF300T
My TF101G was fixed when I installed a Custom ROM (Revolution HD)
I'm open to rooting my phone but not to unlock the bootloader to keep the warranty..
Hard Reset fixed it but after a few days when I activate the Bluetooth it will start with the Boot Loop.. It's very frustrating to install apps and everything.
Perhaps is it related with the files I installed?
Afaik, bluetooth radio is controlled by the baseband. What version are you guys using?
Im currently using TF300T
Asus Official WW Jellybean ROM
I think It's not related with the JellyBean coz I expereienced it with ICS before when Im using TF101G
The baseband of my GNex is I9250XXLF1. I am on official JB (4.1.1) on yakjuxfw.
Please help me, this is really annoying and I'm very scared to activate Bluetooth now.

You are on the latest baseband and Android version. And since you are completely stock and the problem also manifested itself on ICS, I'm going to say you are probably having a hardware issue there.
That's really sad to hear. And as the GNex is not available officially in India, I can't get it replaced either.
BTW you said 'probably', what can be the other possibility?
Well I too have something to elaborate. Both the times (on ICS and JB), the problem occurred while activating Bluetooth from Notification Toggle (downloaded from Play Store). It's not that whenever I used Notification Toggle did the problem occur. Several times Bluetooth successfully got activated using Notification Toggle.
So as much as I feel that it could be a problem of Notification Toggle, I feel that the opposite is possible too.
Another thing is that I had downloaded a paid app for free from a torrent website. Tapatalk to be precise. Many of my friends suggested that and I wanted to try it out and so downloaded it from torrents. On both bootloop occasions, that 'pirated' copy of Tapatalk was present in my phone.
Now I have purchased Tapatalk, uninstalled that pirated copy, uninstalled Notification Toggle and now I just tried three Bluetooth transfers with my system (2 send and 1 receive) and they took place perfectly. Is it possible that the pirated copy of Tapatalk was causing the issue?
I know it's not ethical and even against the XDA rules to discuss about such pirated copies but I didn't want to hide anything when asking for a solution to my issue.

If the problem happens again, I think you have to return it to where you purchased it from as it may be a hardware defect. Let's just hope it doesn't happen again. And I know you mentioned India does not officially sell the Galaxy Nexus. All the best!

and yes, it happened to me too. Its bootloop, then i took the simcard out, then power on again, but takes a long time, only X logo for more than 10 minutes. Then its going to menu. Then, well, i check the settting, turn on the bluetooth again, bump ! it happened again.
FYI, device not rooted, bought three days ago, and its LOCKED.

The same problem with me!!
Not just in the GNex, it also happens with me in my HTC One V.. I can't find a fix anywhere on the internet? There's no one who can tell why this happens? I change ROMs but still it happens in every ROM! :crying:
I use Bluetooth for a few days... and BOOM! on one day it suddenly goes into boot loop....
That is exactly the issue I face, exactly the same.

If you're rooted, just make a Nandroid Backup and restore the phone and see if that fixes it.
That's a test directory.
As mentioned, you can flash a Nandroid to a time prior to having to the issue if you are Rooted.
If not, Factory Reset from the S4.
Sounds like you installed something or changed something.
If you're rooted and on a 4.2.2. CM 10.1 rom that is a common bug, if you're on stock I would send that s4 back and get another one! I will of course try a factory reset first, see if it helps =/
i'm on stock untouched non rooted 4.2.2 and factory reset didn't helped tried that out eighter
could't it be a hardware problem ? like any non original parts? or the main chip is somewhere demaged?
Might be hardware or network.
Do you have a different phone you can try your SIM card in?
If the problem follows the SIM it is a T-Mobile issue.

when this is this problem can i just flash other rom
or what is my next step?
i mean can i flash a rom from intr s4 on this t-mobile s4?
Probably not.
I would try flashing back to the exact stock software for the model you have if you have to too make sure everything matches.

Some reported the same problems and they call T-mobile to have their line "refresh". Said it solved his problems.

n7100 there is no sound in handset while calling

there is no sound in handset and also my voice does not arrive to other person while calling. the problem still goes on when i turn on the speaker. i have tried the stock and custom rom but the problem haven't been solved. I have tried the parazite issue but there were no difference. I can call on Tango, Viber, etc. but network calling doesn't work. Now there is 4.3 rom in my phone(xperia zized rom). In addition my phone is international n7100 note II. Please help me
I'd look in system/etc/init. If you have been using a custom kernel try deleting everything except superuser. I know this works if you have been using agni kernel

then i retraced my steps before the problem i realized it started when i first opened my phone it was the sim/sd card tray and also the screw next to it
without the housing calls work with it the calls have problems apparently closing the phone sometimes the holes for the screw are not aligned
tested a few times on two different n7100s and it works
fix tested on phones which have been previously opened
