hello, I'm new in mimax and i have hydrogen model
i see here there are lot of roms like cyanogenmod, lineage os, resurrection remix, pure nexus and....
please give your opinions which rom is better in performance and battery life and have les bugs than others
are these roms better than stock miui global and if yes tell me why?
also i really like options like multi window and split screen but I'm kind of worry of bugs of costume roms so I'm with miui right now

In my honest opinion ,any android 7 custom ROM available for the max is more stable more snappy and more stable for me too , BenchMark Scores are 10000 points better on antutu when compared with miui , I'm currently running purenexus on my Helium , And gotta say it's my favourite so far , super stable super smooth and battery seems pretty good for me , All i can say is make the switch and your won't regret it i was umming and arring about miui for a while too but it looses hands down

best antutu benchmark score 86000 i got in darkness redifined rom posted by some1 thanks to him and its working cool only its launcher crashes so flash gapps based pixel on it also for version update its been crashing all the time so i m using lineageOs official stable rom with antutu 76k and another option is ressuraction remix 5.8.0 with antutu score 81k n u will get maximum customization on this many mi max users luv this rom n will say it best custom rom for mi max but i will suggest try all n decide ur way thanks i like to update regularly n lineage provides official stable updates within every 10-15 days so i like this way thank u all developers
Never tried a non-miui rom on my hydorgen, but the miui roms provided in the xiaomi.eu community are quite good, clean and stable. I've tried recently the MIUI 8.3 Nougat, but i've rollback to the 8.2 Marshmallow cause I need the xposed framework to run the xMIUI module. No Xposed yet for N.
I am using pure nexus for 48 hours, much better than miui
Fastest rom = Pure Nexus
Most Customizable = Resurrection Remix
Most Updates = Nijel8's Lineage
You can't go wrong with either one.

I mean there is something like GPU underclock to 133hz in purenexus thread. Does it matter ?
I use resurrection remix ROM! Its the most customizable ROM you can find. If that's what you're looking.
If you want the smoothest and more stable ROM you should go with lineage!

Cyanide is a continuation of VRToxin project!
Cyanide M is the brainchild of XDA member @rogersb11. Based on CyanogenMod, and packed full of features from the wonderful customROM teams we have all come to know and love. This ROM is just getting started and I will update frequently as things progress along into the beast we know this will be.
I will hold no responsibility if you didn't flashed the ROM properly and are facing bugs due to your modifications to the system files.Want to help me with something? You're welcome for helping out with bugs and issues - - but make sure you have that logcat with you before posting in this thread.Post all your questions/requests/screenshots in the Q/A thread.I won't tolerate any OT posts in this development thread.

Lol man I'm not at all an angry person...that reply on RR thread was because I was having a really bad day..I'm sorry for that
There is no theme engine.....You can colour any part of the system from the ROM itself and also layers work (partially)
it depends on how you define better...this ROM has more features than RR for sure and can say that its stable as I'm using it since 2 days

Absolutely loved VRToxin but the Wifi drop once in deepsleep killed it for me,charging was slow aswell.Flashing Cyanide now to see if it is fixed (one can hope,eh?),thank you for your work

I think it's the one with best battery....but it depends on each one
go with despair factor build 9/17. u can find it on google plus. i recommend it.
i have tested lot of nougat Custom Rom ( 3 or 4 lol ) but i return on Stock + i don't know why ..... better i think

For me i have lot of issues with Substratum on Nougat Apps force close with différents themes etc ... and Themes aren't free i hate Substratum i prefer theme engine and layers manager because they work great and you can find free beautiful themes

I know you pre-tested, you know, I meant long run tests such as battery and daily performance. Anyways the rom looks and feels great, right now it's running buttery smooth. Will report back in a day or two

It was lag before I set low memory killer lower but after that everything is smooth and awesome ,maybe you should set the low memory killer lower that makes gaming performance more smooth

Battery backup im this rom please guys ?
anyone tested substratum theme ? is it fully working ?
After the weekend the rom is still butter smooth, everything works fine, no problems with calls, data disconnections or other things. It-s just good as a daily driver. Battery life feels slightly better than cm/lineage, but nothing really big. It's a really good rom by the way, i'll keep it as a daily from now on. Great work dev, great work!
Ps. Before everybody asks again, substratum IS working.
I don't want to flash so many rom to know its performance , battery life etc.So please guys suggest me #THE BEST ROM.

I have flashed and experienced many ROMs. At present I felt the bootleggers ROM to be exactly what I was looking for. You can try it, you will like it.

there is no heat issues, if you doesn't play game like pubg. In the 1st boot your device may gets heat but after settling the rom(after 2,3 reboot) device temperature will be normal.

never tried, so can't say anything about bootleggers.
I recomand bootleggers to, compared to aex general performance and battery is the same if not a little better, the AEX dev is working realy hard to bring treble suport to the device so rom is not as obtimized as it can be. The biggest difference is the gaming performance, on bootleggers its very good. The only problem with bootleggers is the stuttering in recent apps.

Hey bro ! Try bootlegger ROM.
LMAO, all this with the BL ROM. Yer if your a fan boy and go along cos they all are type then sure, go with that. I've tried almost all the ROMS here, including STOCK. STOCK or Jaguar are the best. IMO - > obviously. Jaguar is updated the fullest - this Dev has worked out the problems. My 1st go on BL = fail. Didnt do sound Mod. On Jaguar already built in. Great performance, battery, no bloat. Looks simple and plain to start, but trust thats all you want, less can go wrong. Genuinely try Bootleggers and Jaguar. Both easy and good. Then pick. I'd say its between them 2 if your not looking to mess about.

Bro battery backup is not so good im my Bootlegger Rom.

The main reason for going Custom ROM is to satisfy different needs compare to Stock where the phone maker tries to satisfy all with a balance setup.
ZUI is really poor compare any well established Custom ROM both interms of performance, features or stability.
Infact, rarely you get to see stock ROM having more bugs than most of the Custom ROM.
I am no expert here & neither I have tried many Custom ROM. It's been just couple of days for me with Pixel Exp ROM + AR Beast kernel. I am really amazed to see the difference between Stock 2.5 Indian ROM vs PE ROM + AR Beast kernel.
You like it or not, no matter how many suggestion you get, you will end up trying few configuration (ROM or ROM+Kernel) before finding the best suitable stuff for your need.
Yes, writting (question) down parameters of your requirements along with lot of reading (ROM threads for user comments) may help you zero into couple of possible candidates between so many options.

Good rom. It feels snappier and smoother than all the other oreo roms I've tried.
But it's lacking the options to customize the hardware buttons. And I'm having the same issue with camera as I did with my previous rom, the camera freezes after taking a photo or video.
For me camera worked.. Or use footej

well my Z00T just died, and now i've switched to the 6gb zenfone max pro.
Thanks to y'all devs for the continuous support, and bringing new features and better stability which had extended the life of this phone.
