Hey guys,
I was wondering if any ROM developer could put together a Froyo or maybe a Gingerbread ROM. It would probably be faster and my apps would work on it. Thanks!

Uhm no? Why would you buy a 4.0 device and the want somebody to put 2.2 or 2.3 on it. Just get a device that runs froyo or gingerbread if you want it that bad.
I really like the hardware and style of the phone. 4.0 just seems sluggish compared to 2.2 or 2.3

Entitlement much? Sounds like you need to learn to develop or get a device with the version of os you want. I'm on way to buy the latest hardware pc and hope Microsoft will put up some windows 3.1 support for me. Wish me luck. End of sarcasm.

What do you have that isn't working on 4.0? The developer needs to update their app. And sluggish? ICS is the fastest smoothest version of Android yet. Maybe you aren't use to all the flash and flair, but you can turn off animations.

I don't understand why you guys are giving the OP a hard time. If he wants GingerBread, so what? If I bought my Porsche, and I only drive it under 60 mph, what difference does it make? I know it can go faster, but I don't want it to. What does it matter - my car, my choice. Are the people in the elite Porsche crowd going to make fun of me? Oh my...
Help the guy out, or indicate why you can't. Saying "if you want GingerBread, get a device that runs GingerBread" does not help with the request of getting a GB ROM for the i9250...

No, the correct analogy would be you buying a porche, and then asking somebody to do an engine swap and put in a Escort engine...for free.
I can understand the want to go back to an older OS, sort of like people who want to stick with 'Windows XP'.... You like specific apps & how they are working on your current OS. Then, you switch to a new OS and your app isn't working properly anymore. You think "damn this new OS! I want the old one back!"
Well, the problem isn't the new OS. The problem is support for your app on the new OS. Just like with anything, it's just a matter of time before such issues are addressed and the devs fix/update the app for the new OS.

He was asking if someone could help him out. (Obviously not too many are doing so...) He wasn't demanding anything, and besides, most people here do help out "for free".

Really? Really? Actually, fail posts of the year go to the people who post threads with [Q] in the general section and things of that sort.

I'm with you. Collectively, this thread has accumulated the largest amount of dicks I've seen so far on XDA, ever. Especially you, spencer88. I've lurked on a lot of your posts and you are extremely opinionated and you seem to have the what-I-say-goes aura about you. I seem to recall you whining recently about several different CDMA nexus release dates. Also, based on your language, I am ASSUMING you are just a user and not a dev, so why would you respond to this thread, anyway? If a dev can help the guy out, great. As for the trolls, graze elsewhere. Christ.
hey guys i know its not right forum but if anybody knows anything about rooting airtyme pv300 please tell me.because i cant find anything on net.and its same as sidekick 2009 by tmobile.it contains danger OS which is an outdated OS so i cant add application in this.
specifications:
Qualcomm MSM 7201A chipset, 528 MHz
256 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM
Its not an android phone.............So i cant be rooted...And second ITS WAY OLD.....might as well keep it only in case of dire emergencies(if your phone is bricked and you really need something to take calls)

The correct place isn't in these forums because your device is not Galaxy Note 2, and bears no similarity to one other than externally.
You'd probably be better off asking in one of the more general Android forums here, where KIRFs are more readily discussed.

Hello AT&T SG3 User(s),
I have created Samsung One 3 a PORT of HTC One to Samsung galaxy s3,
I had a report of a XDA Member that it worked on his att sg3, so i need an att beta tester to test this for me,
because if this is true than porting it to the SG3 International might be easier ( Hopefully ), and ofcource will i make some fixes for the att sg3 if this works
Original Topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2284615
Download Link to Dev Test v1.5.1: removed
Reason why it will work faster on SG3 att than international is because of the chips
Samsung Galaxy s3 International: 1.40GHz Exynos 4412 (ARM Cortex A9 + Mali 400MP)
Samsung Galaxy s3 AT&T: 1.50GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4
HTC One: 1.70GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600
Pleas tell me if it works or not

First, your zip will not flash because you have a folder in another folder.
Second, you had better change the mount points in your updater-script before you brick someone's device.
downloading now, I'll let you know after I nandroid and flash.

C.
Thank Upndwn4par, I'll hold off for now.. lol.. I was gonna look at the zip b4 anyway.

Listen,
I understand you want to be innovative and bring new things here but this should be done internally. You should NOT release something like this on an open forum where most people don't read and follow directions. Also, releasing something you won't flash or can't flash yourself is just bad practice. While this isn't your fault, being a dev you should know this. This is brick after brick waiting to happen. I'm not being a hater as I appreciate what you are trying to do but this is just a bad idea.

I'm not staying stop. By all means, continue, as I really love sense but make it for a device you can test on first and then move it here. Do a lot more internal testing. One person is not a large enough group of people. I'm happy to see people trying new things. In fact, if you get it to the point where it boots on your device and you port it here PM me, I'll test it for you. I hate being the guy to say this as I don't want to kill ambition, I just don't want to see people with $600 dollar paper weights.

Yes, your device can be bootloader unlocked (and therefore rooted). Unfortunately it's not a free solution. But if you're interested, PM me
My 960u is unlocked and rooted. Works great, but no support for aftermarket roms.
Well I am mostly concerned about just getting rid of all this Google junk.I want my freedom and privacy
