I have a mint note and I was offered a brand new note 2 for my note and $200. I know this has been asked to death, but I primarily want to hear from note 2 owners who upgraded from the original note. I figure $300 is the going rate for a note in my condition, and since I'm not due for an upgrade for another year this is my best shot at getting a note 2.

Yes do it. I went from note 1 to 2 and it really is an upgrade. Once you learn the ins ands outs its a helluva better phone. Not to mention battery life ive never had a smartphone come close to the life this thing gets. Anyway im not gonna get into all the reasons u should get it cuz you can read that all over the forums. Just get the phone then u can report back that I was right

Congrats on both the bid and note mate

Thanks mates...all I did was open a second lune and that dropped the price right down.

I bought an Iphone 5 16gb and traded it for a note 2.
$200 phone for a $300.
What makes it even better is that I sold my Iphone 4 16gb for $300 and bought the 5.
Haha Iphone 4 for note 2 and an extra $100

I am thinking of going from s3 to note 2 but damn the S4 rumors are hot and heavy and looking sexy. Thoughts? I'd really like a semi tablet for work

I went from the s3 to the note 2 and haven't looked back, this phone is a beast. I highly recommend it

I went from the GALAXY S III to the Note II and haven't looked back -- the Note II is a dream to use, feels great in the hand and in many ways has replaced my computer for every day tasks (e-mail, web browsing, basic document and spreadsheet creation, calendar management, and social networking). I absolutely love it and would wholeheartedly recommend one.
Ah man I'm so itching to pull the trigger on this. I'm so torn though because if I see a note 7.0 I might want to hop on that. So much internal struggle to spend my money

Wouldn't you rather have 1 device rather than a tablet and a phone? Trust me, you want this phone.

I went from note 1 to note 2 and haven't looked back. Faster, stronger, easier, more toys, and stupendous battery. Average use at work would mean charging by 2:00, now I go home with 50-60% left. No joke.

imo I like having 2 devices. cuz I'm always paranoid Ill accidentally drop the note2 and ill be ****ed if the screen cracks. If I can do a redo ill get a s3 and save another $100 for a n7.
OP. I suggest to wait for the S4. But gotta admit, that's a long ass wait till it drops.
Note II is all about the pen for me. I personally wouldn't wait for the S4. Note3 maybe =P
S3 to Note 2, I will only stick with Note series
Maybe I'll bring back that ipad mini I picked up and upgrade my s3. Oh the pressure!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
If it's in your budget, get the note 2 now and wait a month or two after the S4 comes out to see if it's worth getting and not plagued with issues. Then sell the note 2 and pay the extra 150 dollars or so to get the S4.
The note 2 is an extremely solid device. You might end up waiting 6 months for a device that isn't worth waiting for

If the S4 is worth getting, I plan on doing my plan above. But imagine putting off getting a great phone now and the S4 ends up being a total disappointment (just like the Nexus 4 IMO)
Edit: I hope it's safe to criticize the Nexus 4 here. That's like blasphemy in some forums. Lol

I would do what I did, get the note 2 now, and if you want the S4 later open a second line, sell the note 2 for profit, and take your first line down to the bare minimum.

A Note 7? That would be a bad idea and it would be competing with the Note 2 if they released something like that.

Another thread of persuasion.
Note 2 will beat many more devices to come.
Went from Samsung Infuse to the Galaxy Note 2. Beast phone with amazing specs with the best resell value too since the note is the only phablet in the market.

I went from S3 to the Note 2.
Rooted and flashed Jelly Thunder the first day, haven't looked back.
The multi-view is amazing for multi-tasking. The phone is ridiculously fast stock, I can't imagine over clocking, and the battery has lasted me close to two days on normal use.
The S pen is also pretty fun to use
Yeah so wait for the S4 to come out oh but it doesn't have S-Pen functions oops now you find out the Note 3 is about to come out then you wait for it but oh the processor is not as fast as you'd like it to be so then the Note 3 is out but the S5 is announced oh but it doesn't do my chores for me then oops the Note 4 is announced so let's wait for that oh but it doesn't make me look thinner... then the S6 is announced...
Unless you have an unlimited pit of money, you shouldn't worry about new tech or getting the latest and greatest (because the latest and greatest gets unseated tomorrow). Pull the trigger, experience what ever pulls you towards it, then wait for another upgrade price to come around since the tech will always be newer, better, and more expensive.

Hahaha yeah I hear you there. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger, I am just thinking hard about it. I love my S3 but I want some more productivity tools that the spen offers. I have an ipad mini and even though it's sexy and slick it just reminded me of why I left the iPhone. Very closed and useless with no wifi, I can't even blue tooth transfer files to it

Hey all,
I've still got my Galaxy Note (GT-N7000), and Have seen that the Note 2 is only going for £330 brand new.
I was just wondering whether people would think it's a good move to make?
I know that the Note 3 is right around the corner, but it took an entire year for the Note 2 to become affordable for me, so I doubt I'll be getting the Note 3 anyway, plus the Note 2 is perfect spec-wise for me.
I was planning to sell my Note, and then put some money on top to get the Note 2?
Thanks in advance!
Well since you need a new phone and your budget is tight, id say go for the note 2 you wont regret it.

+1..btw who the hell will regret this awesome, beautiful and perfect phone
〽 ???✌ ?? ????Ⓜ?
I say go for it. The note2 could probably last another 2 years for average user. Besides, you could sell your original note to offset cost of note2.

I'd like to give a major shout out to Dev's for the Note 2. Especially JL And Chaz you guys have made some awesome Roms for the note 2 and I've enjoyed using them as my daily drivers.
But I had to file an insurance claim on my Note 2 and as they are no longer doing Note 2s. They sent me a Galaxy Note 3 as my replacement phone. Hope the best to you all. And keep rocking those roms. Good luck.
I'll be heading for the note 4 hopefully soon.
If the note was not such a superior service I was actually considering the z2 to venture to something a bit different

I will be moving to the N3 early next year. I am a cricket user and flash great phones for use on their network. Although next year sprint devices will no longer be an option because our government let at&t buy cricket. This means I will need a gsm phone. I will be getting a 9005 international n3.

I found a friend selling a Note 4 in really good condition for under $250. Are there any reasons I would not want to move to a Note 4? Especially looking forward to the OIS on the camera and the full support of NFC for Android Pay (yes, I know Samsung Pay is Note 5 and up only).
Any issues you guys would see that would make that a bad thing?

Why?
Removable battery and SD Card or anything else?
All other specs remains same? I'm in lookout for something similar to Note 3 but more powerful (CPU and RAM), more and removable battery, more and add more memory, more screen but yet to find one.
