Hi guys, I have the S3 i9300 right now and was looking at the Note 2. Can someone else who has made the jump comment on it? Do you regret it at all?

Regrets? Hell no.
Theres so many amazing things about the note 2 but I dont feel like writing for years. But the S3 is also great so either way youre in good position.

Same here, traded in my s3, no second thoughts. What a beautiful slab of glass this is!

I changed my S III for Note 2 also. The only feature that i am missing in S III now is the smaller more handy size against the punch of stylus & new features is not comparable to the S III. It is all about your needs!
I have both the s3 and Note2 in front of me right now, I will be keeping both for the forseeable future, not sure if I will use the s3 much now, but I like to have the option.
input languages
hey everyone.
does the note 2 support multiple input languages?

Yes, it does. Once you select the languages that you want, you can switch between them by long pressing the space bar.
Why
Sorry for the thread jack.
To the guys who've upgraded.
What do you like more about the Note compared to the S3
I've currently got the OG Note and can get the Note 2 or S3 tomorrow, but I'm not sure if there is such a big difference compared to the S3 as there was with the OG note and the S2?

If you dont care about screen size just go for Note2

I'm sure Apple fanboy will say otherwise, but I'm not one. The question is why the US get it so late. This is what we get to have a kimchi company making a better phone. But yea the screen will be significantly better, a non-pentile AMOLED. I'm glad I waited instead of trying to get GS3 earlier.

Seriously? I managed to pull off 4 days out of my S3 with light usage (45min screen on), are you telling me Note 2 has it even better?

Yes.
The battery on Note II is huge! You can easily get 15 hours with very heavy use!
Been using both for the last week its not the same phone note II is a much more creative phone but it is to me a little too big!
The battery is a little bit better but not that much better maybe it will improve with custom rom and kernel

If you can handle the size and forking out more cash then yes otherwise no.
The only major criticism I have against the note 2 is the screen sharpness, the text just doesnt look as crisp as it doescon the S3.
Everything else is better, faster and smoother on the note 2.
Worth or not if i switch to S4?
Well if you have lotsa money go for it... my note 2 will stay with me for another 2 years

Time to change the N7100 to ...... none.
Even if you've more than enough money and you can make your own choice, be practical guys :|
No. Get the note 3.

hahaha thank guys for response, wait for KLP release first ..
So, your options are keep the Note 2 or sell it for a phone with a half inch smaller screen and no S Pen? No brainer really .

I use S4 along with Note2, as I work at Samsung's R&D. It's really worth to wait and switch
... nothing !
Lol dont get mad bro,i just ask huhu

See no reason to switch to S4 myself. Except for the full HD screen, but at the risk of losing a .5'', SPen and awesome 3100mAH battery. There are more features, but most s/w features will come to N2 eventually, so I don't think it's compelling enough to make a switch. If I wanted FHD display that bad, I might have switched to HTC One or something.
Love my Note 2 and sticking with it at least until N3 comes out.
note 3 or sony togari ... s4? nahhh

Exactly what I did. I replaced my S3 and became a happy owner of a Note 2. You cant compare them. The Note 2 is way better.
The only thing I would buy next is a Note 3.
If you don't care for the S-pen, you can consider the new LG Optimus G Pro looks like a beast.
I'm waiting for the Note 3 and then I'll decide which one I'm getting next.
not bad ..

As above. Samsung already said we would get most of them. Other than that the note 3 in October will be both bigger and better than the s4. Personally I'm done, I've been through so many phones over the last three years and I'm tried of constantly updating. The Note 2 is the first one that I can say I'm truly satisfied with. I'll only be updating every two years from here on in which means note 4 for me.

I like the looks if the new HTC but as it's far from offering the Note 2 features, I stick with my Note

Hey everyone
anyone any thoughts on this? I have a note 2 and I love it. I am well used to the size and to be honest I don't think I can go to the S4's 5" screen.
Am I or will I be missing out on anything that the S4 has or will the note 2 get all the features in an update.
IR Blaster is the only major thing you're missing out on IMO.
And lte possibly.
Sent from my GT-N7100
the IR blaster as aforementioned and the extra sensors if you care for such
The ir blaster would be a handy little thing to have but I don't feel it would outweigh the extra half inch of real estate.
Any note 2 owners switching to the s4?
I can't even imagine switching from note 2 to S4. In fact I'll be missing out on even more useful options. I really hate how the new layout of the S4's settings menu, it looks outdated and I hope they change that before 4.2.2 is released on the note 2.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Note 2 is way too good , no chance of replacing it with S4 .......Will wait for Note 3 & then decide on replacement.....As of now NOTE 2 ROCKS !!
If the Note 3 is more like the s4 than the Note 2, then I won't bother to upgrade.

I read, that with the update with the new S4 features that came come to the note, the menu on the GN2 is will become like the S4. I hope that is not the case as most reviews of the S4, have nothing positive to say about the menu..

When you hear about 6 inch Full HD (1080p) RGB screen, 4000mAh battery, 32GB internal storage and the slot for the external cards up to 128GB you will upgrade immediately.

1. Best battery ever on a Samsung smart phone - This is very important to me when I am out and have no access to charging , secondly I like to check my social networking media and love to have lot of widgets and live wallpaper - Try this on a S4 and you will know how bad the battery life is on S4.
2. How can you ever Trade a S-pens capabilities for a S4 ????
3. Instal a customer Kernel and overclock your Note2 to beat S4 performance.
- IR beamer !!! really - are you going to use it ????
- I am still not utilizing 100% of the sensor and motion control on Note 2 , S4 - Iam not sure if will use them all even though they are quite innovative.
And has anyone any idea when it will get some of the features?
The next probable update would be 4.2.2. Date unknown.
Note2 is best.. no need to replace that with s4.. wait for note3 and change it with note3..

Hey all,
I've still got my Galaxy Note (GT-N7000), and Have seen that the Note 2 is only going for £330 brand new.
I was just wondering whether people would think it's a good move to make?
I know that the Note 3 is right around the corner, but it took an entire year for the Note 2 to become affordable for me, so I doubt I'll be getting the Note 3 anyway, plus the Note 2 is perfect spec-wise for me.
I was planning to sell my Note, and then put some money on top to get the Note 2?
Thanks in advance!
Well since you need a new phone and your budget is tight, id say go for the note 2 you wont regret it.

I say go for it. The note2 could probably last another 2 years for average user. Besides, you could sell your original note to offset cost of note2.

So they did and advanced equipment exchange. They did not have another note 4, so had to give me something else. didn't cost me a dime and no extension to contract.
If you didn't extend your contract or burn an upgrade I think it's a win. The note 5 is a solid phone.
Did you get to keep your Note4?
No had to give it back.
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Crap that was a downgrade IMO. The note 5 is a solid phone but I'd never take that over my note 4. The note 4 is almost a perfect phone. The only thing it lacks is water resistance. If it were me I'd sell the note 5 and buy a used note 4 again.
