I have the new Huawei smartwatch w2 (coming together with P10) and when I say the command "send a whatsapp message to xxxxx" it never recognizes the contact who I want to send the message. The system always is asking "who" again and again. It seems to not recognize the contact. If I say "send an email to xxxx" (same person) or a simple sms or call it works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, tried to search for this, I need some help please.
Using WM6.1 stock euro ROM.
1. When I reply to a text by tapping it it comes up as a thread conversation with that contact I received the text from.
2. I write my text and hit send.
3. Sometimes it works but a lot of the time the message is not sent.
Sometimes it says "Your message could not be sent" but sometimes nothing.
4. Check all messages > draft and there it is but the phone number of the recipient is changed from 07XX XXX XXX to 447XX XXX XXX and not with the plus sign
5. I double check the contact info and it is saved as 07XX, I tried saving it as 00447XX and +447XX but no luck.
So please has anyone come across this bug in the software or could it be operator related?
Sorry if the post is confusing I don't know how to explain this properly.
Cheers
Hi,
I had the same problem with my stock 6.1 rom (I've just changed to official 6.5, but not teste though).
Don't know why it doesn't work ... to send texts I'm just using the winmo text thing (access by the keyboard) and it works perfectly ...
Thanks for the reply, yes I have had to use that way around it as well. I really would like it to work tho, have no problem with this sending to International numbers from the UK. It only happens when sending to UK numbers while in the UK.
Hey folks,
This is my first post and I looking for some assistance.
I seem to have a strange problem with my messsages but it only happens with one particular contact and its doing my head in.
I am using the Chomp App and I think its great but the problem I have is one of my friends (who is on the orange network) when he sends me a message and I try to reply to him the message fails. When I check the view message details it shows his telephone number as 44XXXXXXXXXX it has removed the + sign from in front of the number.
However if I go into the failed message and select forward the message sends no problem and + is in front of the number.
I have checked his contact details on my phone and they are fine and if I send him a normal text it sends, the problem only seems to arise if I try to reply to the message he sends me.
Anybody got any idea how to fix this ????
I appreciate any replies
thanks
Hi folks,
hopefully someone can help me.
For a long time now, I'm looking for an app which can send and recieve short messages (not SMS!!) from an on your PC. A simular App would be Chrome to Phone but not only for links but messages in general as well as the ability to recieve messages from your phone on your PC.
For Example, I want to use it for the following situations:
- you want to (quickly) share a link you have found on your PC with your Whatsapp mates.
- you have recieved a link / name or just something on your phone and want to google it on your PC
- you want to call a number which is displayed on you PC
Does any of you guys knwos an app or a solution for this case? I know that Android Lost uses a message service called message popup. Hoever it isn't really intuitive for this kind of usage.
Maybe someone has an idea...
Big Thanks
Hilola
I have the smartwatch 3 and a sony xperia sp. When i receive a text i get a notification on my phone but no option to reply, only the option to open the text on my phone. (im using the standard messenger app). Can anyone let me know what im doing wrong, im sure i should be able to reply using the smartwatch with either a template or voice created text... Many thanks
update
Jst an update for anyone else who had this problem. I just doenloaded messenger from the play store and now get the option to reply to texts, with either voice or a template
When every I send and email from my watch the other person gets the message as the subject line and message body just says "Sent via voice". I have tried various email apps ie. Cloud Magic and WearMail. Both apps will work fine but only when replying to an email. It seems to use something else for composing from scratch. Does anyone know what I need to change or configure someplace?
Bump, I have the same issue with Asus Zenwatch and LG G2. Tried everything that OP has tried.
