You have to place it manually.. Move the file to system>media

I have no idea to be honest, all I uploaded was the folder from my phone containing the boot animation. I haven't tried changing mine to any other so don't know how it works sorry.

I think you need to share another file.
Go-to the root folder, system/bin/bootanimation
Please share that file too.

Found it on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55118315&postcount=847 but it requires CR to install. So you know we still have locked bootloader. So if anyone know a modded apk of Walkman/Music Player please post here.

what is cr because the only thing you need is a recovery and we got one of those(tethered)

try next time using the thanks button instead of writing it(do reduce cluther)
You will need a file explorer with root access, i would recommend Root Explorer.
1. Go to /system/fonts & rename hTC_ColorEmoji.ttf to hTC_ColorEmoji.backup
2. Download - https://mega.co.nz/#!j5JDAbQD!5ArLWVGeovlRZqbXkevFGdaHQhdIJTkJ6XhJ2yi7ob4
Which is hTC_ColorEmoji.ttf and put it into /system/fonts/
3. Set /system/fonts/hTC_ColorEmoji.ttf to have permissions 644 (rw-r--r--) - THE SAME PERMISSIONS AS THE OLD ONE.
4. Reboot & enjoy!

This should work on any device, just as long as you replace the right file, in some AOSP ROMS the file is called AndroidColorEmoji.ttf, all you have to do is replace it with the one attached.
I would create a ZIP file, but im new to this HTC system & some people don't have custom recovery's & just root.

I created an updater script for this but the fonts don't work either way.
Maybe there's some other font being used now since this thread was created?
The two fonts @dom_mnml linked are both the same, just different filenames.
Here's my updater script if someone wants to try it out... As I said, it doesn't work for me.

I know it's working on CM. I had CM in the past, but somehow on stock rom it's not working, that s why I asked.. thx anyway!
Does anyone have a copy of this? The file in the original post is now dead and I would like to apply this to my m9.

Do you mean another Motorola device like Moto G2 or G3 or G1? I guess no. Hardware and software differs a lot. It would lead you to a softbrick or a hardbrick.

well, if you mean that one that appears on every merchandise pic of it, it's probably the weather widget. Check it out and see if it is it. I can't confirm by myself, sorry about that.

I've flashed Emotion OS this mornig - and then downloaded these audio files from this thread, and now transferred to audio folder on device with root explorer. Much more choice of tones now. :good:

If you have root access then root>system>priv app>create folder named anything like motolauncher and paste it there>reboot.
I'm on RR rom and this works for me
