Need a good AOSP Rom for my d855 - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey I am been away from installing new rooms on my G3, I have the lastest version of fulmics, but since it is not going to to Nougat,
I am looking for an AOSP Nougat rom(I don't like CM ones), but I can seem to find a good one
Any one has a review to share?
Thanks!

There is a huge Problem with the camera in AOSP Roms. The Quality is very poor.

[Q] Android 5.1 ROMs help

Hello, i need an advice from you guys.
i've been looking for 5.1 (not sense) builds for the m8, but cant decide which one is better for me or maybe just better overall.
On the other phones i had i used CyanogenMod, now im running SkyDragon Sense 7.0, but i dont like sense, the best thing of that rom is the harman/kardon mod, but the problem is that i get some FC and sometimes it get really really slow.
What ROM i can use that is stable for a daily use and have enough features like the GPE versions?
CM12.1? CyanideL? Team UB ROM? SkyDragon 5.1 GPE? dont know what others 5.1 ROMs are here

Latest ROM with working/stable camera? - SM-P600

Hi Everyone,
Been looking at some of the latest custom ROM's for the SM-P600 and it's been difficult to find one with a working and stable camera. Do you have any suggestions on a ROM that's hopefully newer then kit kat and has a camera that doesn't crash after taking multiple pictures with flash and needs to be rebooted every time. Noticed it's a very common problem with the CM based ROMS.
Thanks!

I find 5.1.1 based Samsung roms better than CM ones (more features, better battery and of course camera) but it may be just me.
Unfortunately we don't have many around so just install the latest official one for your region, root and delete the bloat and you'll be fine. They're kind of slow roms compared to CM (but not by much) but IMO it's worth it given how many more features they offer...

Thanks for the advice! Installed the latest 5.1.1. samsung rom and everything is much better now. No crashes, deleted the bloat and camera is the best it's ever been.
I am looking for a P600 US Samsung 5.1.1 ROM and can't seem to find it?
Can you guys point me to one?

Kitkat or Marshmallow

Since I am using marshmallow i notice that there is a battery drain and low performance, so i decide that why not use Kitkat rom after using it i am still amazed.
What's your suggestion ?
Do you know about multirom? It can help you have mm and kk just about a reboots distance.but it does require rooting and custom recovery(which I'm guessing you already have)
As for kk vs mm, i haven't tried sense based mm roms but with most of aosp based mm roms that i have tried devlop some quirk sooner or later .it does not break the daily use of the phone just an irritant.i only use mm because of doze. Because it really helps standby battery use . And with my sprint m8 , i can run mm roms with lp firmware , so its like best of both worlds.if you can live with an old ui then kitkat is still very relavant(as far as i know no major app is unusable on kitkat)

Thanks for your post, but can u tell me your rom that u using because i am having Harman/Kardon Edition.
A couple which suited me best
Turbo rom (had signal loss, dont know if it actually was signal problem or rom failed to correctly :nterpret signal strength, because other roms didnt)
Vanir aosp (still using)
CrDroid
cyanogenmod 13
Dirty unicorns
Resurruction remix( failed to get it to work properly ,got a lot of fc,but that was a 2months before)
Bliss pop - got slow after a while
Edit: oh and as for kitkat, haven't tried anything other than offical cm 11 and sense 6 official rom, both were rock solid without any issue
One more thing ,if you are big on audio, and is a fan of neutron music player, you can forget it on mm,audio quality degrades faster than a politician's character after election and other music players too can't match sense rons for audio quality but with neutron, difference is very high
would u prefer performance or design?
I will prefer customization mostly, performance at the expense of quality or stability or lack of customization is unwelcome in my phone
KK is almost 2 years old. Are you purposely omitting Lollipop, or just forgetting it exists (since you know, there is an "L" between K and M)?
KK is missing a huge number or security fixes. Being on an Android version that old is a terrible idea from a security perspective.
stock gpe mm or sense 6 with kitkat?
rooted can be optional

My final conclusion

Hey, I just started this thread to give an idea about how I've been thinking these days and how I can see that this phone isn't an old phone anymore...
LG G3 is a popular phone ... well that means developement on our G3 is huge, we have a plenty of custom ROMs out there waiting for you, stock or AOSP one and from kitkat to android N the latest version of android, well we may be confused about what is the best choice for us ( battery life, performance, beauty ....), well I've been thinking : I am a man who really love AOSP ROM for it's design, but camera is really bad on it (comparing to stock ROM), on Stock ROMs I can't install or get other android updates (since it is stopped for our G3 )
well I have an idea : I can install them both using MultiROM and I am using Fulmics 6.6 as primary with cm13 and miui 8 and I am testing cm14.1 (unofficial)
so guys what do you think about the best combination that you can get using MultiROM or Dualboot app ?

Best custom Rom?

Hi all,
Thinking of dipping my toe in the water with a custom rom. I'm still on stock H815v20L or something and whilst P is apparently being released I thought I'd check out the alternatives.. Unless P is out, rootable and stable?
Any recommendations for a custom Rom with Nougat 7.1+ pkease?
Any to avoid?
Cheers,
H

I think there is only 3 Nougat roms which are LinageOS/AOSP based which are being activily developed for LG g4. Resurrection Remix, Linage OS and Dirty Unicorns. I personaly use Resurrection Remix, more stable build for my taste for stable daily driver, DU probably also pretty stable but Linage OS releases are pretty much nightlys.
Only thing with these roms that camera performance is pretty bad to stock, doesnt matter what camera application you use. You can get pretty decent pictures with really good sun/day light and maybe small color editing but the noise and grain from like google camera is terrible in darker photos.
Nougat actually doesnt bring anything new for me, I personaly flashed RR and got theme engine on to get different settings menu cuz I hate the blue theme on lg stock.
If you got TWRP and unlocked bootloader , just flash and try
I use LineageOS on a daily use since mid May. I prefer not to update the ROM every week but every month.
So far, LOS is very stable. I change the camera for the Google Camera and works properly for now.
But as Diddymies says, flash and try
