I took the time to "make" two bootlogos that I exported from @ale29-09 's Moto X Play bootlogo thread. Hope it's okay.
There is one with black background and one with a white background.
How's it like?

Warning
There's a "N/A" white text on any custom bootlogo that I've installed on my Moto Z Play, so you'll probably see this on yours as well (I suppose). It is much more visible on the bootlogo with the black background since the "N/A" is written in white font color.

White background: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634756202
How to install:
This cannot be installed from recovery. You must install it with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash logo <FILE>.bin
That N/A is the warning from unlocked bootloader.

Any idea on how to remove that? I don't remember seeing that on other Moto devices I owned.
Wow! That's fantastic!

The one with the white background kinda hides the N/A, just a few hints of it appear in the M of the Moto logo, which is green.
I've uploaded a new logo with a black background and white fonts. It completely hides the "N/A". I've extracted it from the Flyme ROM.
PIC attached.

Love it! It definitely saves my eyes from the glare of the white background version.
The black one is great, but on my screen you can see after the logo is away for few seconds a burn in of the moto-logo. But that's normal, right? That's because the screen brightness is very high at the boot. And amoled burns in fast. (I use the black logo on Z Play)

I always hated that too. That's why I shared this because I believed I wasn't the only one.
but stilll logo powered by lineage is not working, still is N/A on logo, so how to flash use this logo without this N/A??

I use many of the ROMs here and thought it would be cool to give back a little bit. I made this for myself and thought maybe other people would like it.
Its bootscreens and wallpaper that are based on Ed Hardy Vintage Tattoo Wear designs by Christian Audigier. It looks awesome on Black Shadow with Guava Bubbles enabled and the attached Wallpaper set at full opacity (which is why I put in the Windows Mobile 6 forum, I made it for Black Shadow, but it would work with anything as long as you can use CustomRUU to flash it.)
To install, use a ROM kitchen to pack the SubSplash and MainSplash and then install the .nbh with the rapper, and replace the Windows Bootscreen with the welcomehead.96.png file. Use File Explorer to go to the image and set it as Today screen with full opacity.
First image is boot screens second is wallpaper and Windows splash.
Hope you like it!

Try this for screenshot. Freeware. Map it to button 5.
It's not gonna work on boot\splash screens though, is it?

Heh, indeed not. I was thinking for the wallpaper. LOL
..:: X2K2's Metal Droid Boot Animation ::..
- Instant boot image
- Fade in Android slogan using Neutra Text
- Glowing Android slogan indicating progress
- 800x480 images, no scaling
- High quality, no jagged edges or compression artifacts
- Simple, yet appealing design
- Works with Kernels supporting bootanimation.zip (Hardcore's would be an example) (Old Voodoo Kernel not supported, new one should work)
Base picture source:
http://odamiean.deviantart.com/art/Android-Brushed-Metal-187062535
Taken from hardcore's SpeedMod Kernel topic:
If you use a custom boot animation, it will break the playlogos1 boot script hack. Apps and lagfixes which depend on it, for example OCLF, will stop working.
HowTo
CWM: Just put it on your SDcard and apply with CWM.
DIY: Use Root Explorer, mount system as R/W and move bootanimation.zip to /system/media/

OK, forget the video, it looks crappy. Doesn't really show what's happening.
Might add a good one later.
For now just imagine the image alone, then green Android fades in and starts to glow in a cycle, nothing spectacular
Nice, I prefer the new steel look. I'd like a black background though if poss.

I just love this bootanimation. Clean and sophisticated looking. Awesome work bro......

Sort of agree here. A black background with the steel Android fading in and then maybe the Text fading in after; but you probably don't even need the text.
Other than that, the android pic looks awesome and I really appreciate your effort
Agreed. This looks awesome guy
I was just playing around last night and whipped this up. It's a very simple and clean boot animation and accompanying splash screen. Thought I'd put it up here if anyone's interested.
Rename the zip to just PG32IMG.zip, place in the root of your SD card and flash it in HBoot. Drop the .mtz file in your MIUI/Themes folder on your SD card and it should show up under Customize>Boot Animation in Themes.
I've also included the stock HTC splash screen for anyone who might want to revert. These splash screens are for the Incredible 2 only... I have no idea if they'll work on any other, try at your own risk.
Here's what the boot animation and splash screen look like. The loading bar at the bottom fades in on the boot animation, it's not in the splash screen.

could you post a picture of the splash screen without the bar at the bottom? I'd like to use it as my lockscreen wallpaper as well.

Sure, here it is... It's a zipped PNG because the board software automatically converts the PNG to a jpeg if I upload it directly, and does so with noticeable compression.
I like it a lot. Good work.
Any plans on doing anymore?

Love it, very clean and slick!
Thanks, yea, I was just messing around in Photoshop making button styles and this just came together... very simple, but clean.
I have a ton of ideas for other stuff, just need to find the time... I'll post anything I come up with.

Can't wait, dude. That looks pretty sick.
Does anyone have or know where I can get a wallpaper with a black background & a blue Google logo? I searched & didn't come up with anything useful. Something simple would be fine or anything black & blue themed that says Google will do. I tried wallbase & I zedge also with no luck. Whatever I have found doesn't fit the gs3's screen, and I don't care for the way the static wallpaper behaves on FreeGS3, which I'm running with the ics blue theme.

Lol, I was thinking more like one of Googles creative logos, but good look
Here's what I've got, but I want something that flows with the blue a little better. I'm a Google fan boy, lol!

Yea me neither, did nt look to bad though
OK so I bought my phone used and i dont know if this is actually called the boot screen but its the screen before that when u first power up it has some dumb nexus boot screen instead of the white Google writing how can I go back to that
Thanks
bump
uhhh what?
mind taking a picture of what you're talking about?
when you power up a gnex you would get this(the initial google boot/splash screen)

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
afterwards, if your gnex is jellybean and or stock(you get this bootup animation)
of course the bootup animation can vary depending on what the previous owner flashed on the phone.
unless you happen to be talking about this "screen"; but this is the bootloader which does not pop up unless you are holding down buttons
so... what are you talking about now?
ok so its my splash screen thats been changed i want to have the original one that just says google with the little lock on the bottom

it always says that at the start.
to put it in windows machine terms
that google with the lock is the bios screen while the multi color x is the windows bootanimation (in windows 7 its the microsoft flag)
Mine doesn't say that though it days nexus n looks hella ugly

Logo Me can change it.
You splash has not been changed. That lock icon ic because you bootloader is unlocked and google logo on start is Stock not flashed by annother one. Person that used the phone previous had custom rom on it and forgot to relock bootloader
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Just reflash the bootloader or buy "logo me" from the play store.
Reflashing the factory images from Google will fix that right up
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
What thedudejdog said. The Google logo and lock image are on the bootloader partition. If you want the normal ones back just flash a stock bootloader. Or better yet, buy logome and put whatever you want there.
