MTCD - EONON - buzzing sound when lights are on - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Hi all,
so this is setup:
VW Passat 2011; EONON GA6153F (Android 5.1.1.).
Issue is: when lights are on (it's not matter are normal lights or only daylights) there is noise in background. If I press brake pedal, there is almost no sound.
I tried to remove daylights (LED) from car but issue is still present.
If lights are off, everything is great.
This is video:

Does anyone has idea?
Thx

[Q] Bluetooth "in call" Volume - KIA Sportage & HTC M9

I noticed this M8 post regarding bluetooth in call volume with a Hyundai i30 (same stable as Kia Sportage)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/low-volume-via-car-bluetooth-audio-t2913015
Interestingly I have exactly the same issue with my new M9 with Kia Sportage Sat Nav unit which is probably the same as (or similar) to the i30 unit in the first post. Have latest firmware installed in the car sat nav.
As stated, both streaming of radio/music is fine! As for the end of call beep, very loud!
Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Note 4 was fine in same car.
Very annoying indeed
Anyone else had this issue, found a fix or can suggest something to try?
Thank you

I have the same problem. Have bluetooth volume up max on the phone and the car system up max too but it's too quiet to hear anyone in the car if i'm moving at speed.
I imagine the fix will involve rooting and installing a volume fix / mod but never had much luck with BT volume on mod's personally in the past.
I too suffer from a really low in-call volume while using BT.
1. I've now re-updated my head unit with latest firmware
2. Remove my device from the head unit
3. In addition, removed "Sportage" from the phone BT devices
4. Rebooted the phone
5. Turned off the ignition and waited for the head unit to power down
Re-did the whole BT pairing exercise and touch wood, audio is louder ....... but the end call beep is still way too loud!

Android head unit (Pumpkin KD-C0224) - Sound stopped working via music/video player

Hi All,
I have recently experienced an issue where the sound has stopped working (not going through car speakers) when in music, video or navigation app.
This used to work perfectly.
Sound works normally when CD inserted
Sound works normally when using radio app.
Video app plays video - but no sound.
Music app plays the mp3 tracks - but no sound - can see the progress bar moving along (music (mp3) on SD card - 8GB formatted FAT32)
Also have issue with the BlueTooth - connects to phone but seems to be around wrong way - it appears the head unit thinks it is in phone handset mode when it is not - as result can hear people talking through the car speakers but they cannot hear me unless i toggle handset mode, but then people can hear me talking, but i cannot hear them...
I suspect for whatever reason the audio out is being directed to Blue tooth or whatever
Has anyone else come across this issue, and if so is there a solution?
Device
Pumpkin 2-DIN
KD-C0224
MCU version: MTCB-KLD-V2.02
Model # : S07
Android Version: 4.2.2_01092014
Have you tried making your phone and the head unit forget each other?

Yes I have - same result
Have also tried
- resetting unit - factory reset
- pulling the power on unit for
Whatever the issue it appears to be persistent between boots....
Now there is another issue - won't display the feed from the reversing camera
The head unit switches into camera mode, but displays message "No Signal"

I also have a Pumpkin KD-C0224 head unit and it works really great, does way more than you need it to do. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumpkin-Capacitive-Multi-touch-Navigation-Multimedia-y/dp/B00OB90SOY/)
1. About the sound issue, perhaps there is something wrong inside of the unit.
2. About the Bluetooth, you can try settings-》backup&reset, then do the “factory data reset to see if it can help.
3.About the "No Signal", I have encountered this issue and Pumpkin sent a video instruction http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu8maRNrtlk
PS:You can ask for help from Pumpkin and customer service has been very good.
Android 4.4.4 Car Unit S07 sound problem
Hi to all,
I have a similar problem. My device is a Universal 2-DIN, Model: S07
Lately I had a problem with sound coming from sd-card. The quality of sound was good enough for some time and few minutes later, the sound coming only from one speaker, then transfered to another speaker then the listening becomes very bad and suddenly comes back very good as in the beggining.
That was in the past because now there is no sound at all.
More specific:
I have sound in Bluetooth, CD-DVD, Radio and the touching clicks (on device).
No sound at all from the device such as NAVI apps, in 2 sd-card slots and 3 USB's (2 back, 1 front). Of course I see video but without sound and the music plays mp3 once more without sound
I have already done the following:
I opened the device, unplug and plug-in again all the ribbon cables. Factory reset in Android 4.4.4, upgrade to 5.1 lollipop with reset to factory settings again, and finaly downgrade back to Android 4.4.4 with reset to factory settings again. The problem is still the same.
Is it damaged ribbon cable ? or other hardware problem ? because I don't think that is a software problem. Any opinion is helpfull.

Ford Focus 2012 - MTCB Head Unit Installation

Hi,
I've recently completed the installation of a MTCB Head Unit - HIFIMAX Android 4.4.4 multimedia for ford focus 2012 - 2015 for ford focus mk2 for ford focus mk3 car audio system with gps
However since installing the device, the ambient interior lights (Footwell, Door Handles, Cupholder) are not working.
Is this is a common issue, and is this something that can be rectified? I have tried communicating this question with the seller however they are unsure of what I mean.
Thanks in advance.
I changed the LED Type in the Advanced Administrator Menu to RGB and that enable the interior lights of the vehicle, which is VERY strange!
Glad I have been able to resolve it.

Xtrons with Hal9k ROM - parking sensor sensitivity & tone

Hi all,
I have an MCTD_GS rk3188 Xtrons PF7590BAP that was running Android 5.1 but after a bit of fiddling is now running Hal9k 7.1.2 ROM.
I still have some annoyances with it (but thankfully it can now run iBus idrive launcher) - mostly around the parking sensors.
When reversing the BMW kit used to solid beep when close enough to an object to stop. This was a good distance. Now there is no solid beep just a somewhat faster beep - same as before the ROM. Can this beep behaviour be changed?
The tone also is really beepy and unpleasant compared to the original BMW tone. Can the sound be changed?
Also, when the beeping gets as fast as it gets (not easy to tell for me) and the two red lines are by the bumper on the graphic on screen, I'm probably twice as far from the object as when the BMW system used to sound a solid beep. I want to get closer. Is there a way to change the sensitivity?
(also my FM radio reception is terrible but I think this is because I haven't connected the "antenna" power wire on the antenna connector adapter?)
Thanks,
Matt

Seicane Unit

Good Day
I am hoping to get some help from this Forum.
I have a Seicane Android Head Unit
PX5 - rk3368
Android 10
MTCE HF V3.55
Problem is that the screen on the head unit is very dark and the touch does not work.
My phone is connected via bluetooth and the strange thing when I receive a call the screen comes to life ... It is bright and works fine when the call is active. As soon as the call ends the screen goes dark and the touch stops working.
Any idea what is the cause and how to fix?
Thanks
