i tried squeezing softly my screen and its moving like its a liquid, like im massaging my screen, its glue right? can technician open my lcd and fix this?
Direct sunlight??? freezer??? please help.
Help pleaseeeeeeeeee
Help pleaseeeeeeeeee
It's a known problem of LCD displays, it can and will fix itself over the time. Please stop being so desperate. LCDs cant be disected and put back together in one piece because of the layer topology and because the LCDs are assembled in a clean room, so a little bit of dust if it enters, then its going to be nasty. Don't be so picky.

Okay sir im sorry im just worried. i replaced my LCD as a whole, as a set. So putting in direct sunlight / freezer for cooling down not advisable?? ill just wait?
Putting it in a freezer is a no no, because it won't help with anything, and putting it in direct sunlight will, if you forget about it, damage the LCD totally. Get an UV light if you are so inclined or simply wait.
"and putting it in direct sunlight will, if you forget about it, damage the LCD totally." i didnt get this part sir.

Do NOT leave it in the sunlight. Just leave it as is and it will go away. Don't try to fix something that is not broken.

Are they in the same place in every photo you take?
If so it looks like you may have some kind of contaminates on your lens / sensor.
I'd send it back to HTC and they should fix or replace it for you.
If it was a DSLR you could use a Rocket Blower to try and shift them but I don't think it would do much good on the tiny DHD camera

Most likely dust on the sensor. Was it like that when you bought the phone?

Usualy dust on the lenses appear as bigger blurred spots. Those sharp edges on the black spots should mean that there is something wrong with the sensor (dust or a faulty sensor). The fact that they appeared at a later stage is truobleing - it could mean that the sensor is not sealed properly. Have you tried to take a picture at a bright light souse (a lamp for example) to see if they are still visible. If they are that should mean sensor failure. Are they visible while taking the shot or while shooting a video?
Anyway, you should take it for repair, they have to do something for that, but if you are rooted, S-OFF and/or have installed custom ROM, be sure to return your phone to stock condition, because they will void your waranty if they see you have done these things to your DHD.

Hi tkolev! Thanks for the precious info. I have a similar problem with my camera. I see a black patch on a fixed position in images as well as videos. Its just there when I turn my camera on.
Here's my thread.

FYI When i focus it towards a bright light source, it disappears..
Hello guys. I'm currently trying to fix a friends HOX that fell and now the screen doesn't always display image although we can see it always lighting up (it turns on but stays black) .
If I press hardly the HOX's area in red while turning it ON, it works fine. I'm assuming this could be some broken welding points but would like your opinion.

I'm thinking of heating the area with a heat gun, but I'm afraid I'll kill the rest of the phone... what do you think?
Also, after disassembling the phone, the vibration stopped working and I've checked every flat cable and every connector I could find...no ideas to fix this one since it was working before I cracked the phone open.
Any comments are greatly appreciated.
Tks

Possibly a chip has become partly detached from the solder ball grid array due to the shock of the fall. You will not be able to repair this by heating, even if you could reach the melting point of the solder.
The manufacturer would repair by replacing the circuit board and the existing one would be considered unserviceable.
Regards
Phil
So in resume, my friend has a HOX for spare parts... damn...
Couldn't you pack the inside of the housing at the point where you need to apply pressure? Using a piece of card or something. Hardly ideal but would make it functional again
That has been my first attempt, and it's better but still, not enough.
I'm going to disassemble it for the tenth time in a final effort...
tks for the tip though!
So, I've just realized the back metal plate comes out nicely and I think I've found the problem for the GPU issue... that small component on the red area has a broken piece lol (WTF!)
I have applied pressure directly on top of it and I think it will be usable like this, but it now needs a bit of daily use to check if I'm right or wrong.
Can anyone identify what component type is that?
Also, unfortunately (and I don't have a clue how this has happened), the vibration stopped working after opening the phone on the first time, any one has any ideas of what to look for? I don't see any flex cable cut or any other damaged parts...
Tks guys.
Problem solved, some back pressure on the broken piece and the hox is good to go.
The only thing still not working is the vibration...

Had my note 3 for about 2 weeks now and I notice there's a spec of lint or dust under the screen as I was applying my screen protector. .. Samsung screens are sealed right?
Should I go get a new one? Paid big bucks for this and I'm running it on at&t. . Don't bug me or anything but sure would like my money worth.. do I have to flash back to stock? I'm rooted but stock rom..
It's near the corner. How big it is and how much it bothers you is your discretion. If it was center of screen for sure. Up to you. I think it is legitimate concern.

My wife's N900A has a little nib of dust on the right side near where yours is also but her particle is smaller. I could only see it when cleaning the screen under bright lights prior to screen protector install. She aint bothered.
Must have been put there when the were bonding the screen to the digitizer I think? Since after bonding process nothing can get under there.

Can you fully boot into ROM (android desktop)?
Yes I can, I just posted this photo because this black points are more visible on a white background...

That could be caused by two things.
1. Water damage
2. Over heating of device(maybe the battery)
A friend of mines android phone got too hot that he had the same result. His was worse than this. when you look at his device carefully, you could see the shape of the battery underneath the screen.
It might be you left the device in a hot place or under you pillow or something like that, without any air flow with 3g or wifi connected.

According to the picture, the damage seem to have affected the screen. I dont think its the touch panel.
Is it replaceable at home or do I have to take the phone to htc service?
It depends on your skills. You can but it's not too easy.

Does the screen work outside the OS. In recovery for example?
I had a similar problem on a RedMi Note 3G after I applied too much pressure on the screen, now, I can't say if is exactly the same but if, then yes, it is hardware.
What did you do prior to this? Also can you get to recovery?
Your screen is damaged! Happens with me months ago while running, My sweat did this. My solution was a screen replacement
No it is not working any where. Not even in recovery. I tried to install a RR Rom using TWRP and when i tried to reboot after patching the rom, The screen started flickering. I thought it might be OS issue but i tried everything. I tried to restore to Stock OS & stock recovery using different tools but still I can't get the display properly.
Also my phone fell down while i was talking from my shoulder height. Nut that was a day before this happened.

Or look look on the aliexpress, you may find it even cheaper than on ebay
Check Amazon for omnirepair part. That's who I used for mine and they are top notch. And they provide decent tool set and support that makes job much easier. Slightly more expensive but with it in my opinion. I've had no issues except one spot that is slightly brighter.
