Go on Note 7 Alliance. There you can find the firmware to reflash the phone and to prevent the update again.

He got hit by kill update and I doubt that it can be reversed
Have you tried doing a format of it. You will lose all data and it will factory reset your phone.. I had issues with this but this was before the dead update.
I actually hard bricked one of my note 7s but I knew the store owner and they hooked me up with a new one before they sent them back

to flash roms on 4.4.X you have to have a newer version of TWRP. You are on the old version. Restore from back up if you have wiped and update TWRP before flashing. It should be 2.6.3.2 the version you have has a different kernel and it will not work

Yeah I understand but a high % of people on here don't read everything before trying something. If you don't remind him that it just for reference but may differ he may try it. It would probably fail because of the locked boot loader but still just have to be careful.
One guy hard bricked his V500 by flashing V510 stuff over it. Now he had to trick it to receive OTAs but it is possible.

Hello Guys,
I've been searching all forum and i know this device is semi new but does any one have a wifi fix for the Sprint Tab 3 T217S? I even tried flashing back to stock and the wifi still broken. It won't even turn on. Used a nand backup that i had and that still doesn't make it work. I have tried everything in my power to get this wifi working again. Any other tip will help greatly!
The only way I know that can solve anything is wipping every thing (system, cache, data, nvm, data,......etc without external sd card) ofcourse via cmw
Edit or twrp or any recovery
Sent from my SM-T210R using Tapatalk
I tried that and still wouldn't work. I was finally able to find the latest firmware B8 so hopefully everything goes back to normal once I'm done flashing it through Odin. I will keep you posted. Haven't seen a thread on this yet so i guess I'm going to be the first one working on this lol.

yes, it not the router, I made a rom for it also, but the wifi is not working on it, I have everything uploaded, on my signature it will lead you there. I did not want to do the firmware update, so I was sticking around and waiting to see others response, I heard after updating the firmware there wifi was still broken or their was no root available for it yet...
Help as i deleted the Asus ui, i had made a back up but can not access them as
being a little bit stupid rebooted the phone. which now can not start.
Is there anything i can do. I have copied the backups from the sd card to the computer but do not know what to do with them.

Shouldn't matter as long as you can reflash the firmware back on the phone... Any changes will be rendered moot as the whole firmware is re-installed, not just the stuff you didn't change...

HI
First of all thanks for helping. How do you flash the phone as only a novice at this.
This is a running ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML v 5.0. The phone is rooted and i made backups onto the sd card
but do not know how to reverse the operation.

Why leave XDA? Here's all the info needed in one thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2-flashing-recovery-mode-t3096596
You can also get the latest pre-rooted firmware, sorry 2.20.40.63 not 40.90, from the pre-rooted firmware thread in Original Android Developement...
It's the same end result, xda thread ultimately finished up at chinaphonearena site, it is shakalaka who compiled the roms, so either is a good choice.

Phone will not boot. Starting phone, makes it to the optimizing app # of 26. The first number varies, but it never makes it through the full count without rebooting. I can not boot in safe mode. I have used Odin to re-flash stock firmware 5.1.1 successfully and also factory reset after flashing. the problem still exists.

I bought the phone with this issue. I thought I could simple resolve it with a clean install via Samsung Smart Switch.
I tried Stock Firmware via Odin and Smart Switch, Custom ROM via TWRP and all other Recoveries.
It would be nice to see what the phone actually does while booting.
I dont have a clue what is actually wrong. MAybe hardware, but which part...? hmm

Check if power button do not sticks. To clean use alcohol. Pull battery out, little drop on power button, press couple times. Dry with hair dryer for 2-3min. Put battery back and power on. Let us know.

Hi Guys,
I have a Note 7(Australia-Vodafone) it is stuck in bootloop and loads onto bootloader. I tried to flash the Vodafone, Australia firmware through odin and also tried to use the smartswitch to help me get my phone back to life, but no success. Please help me.
It was never rooted or for that matter, the USB Debugging was also turned off
In the bootloader I get the following error,
dm-verity verification failed..
Need to check DRK first.
TIA
