Hello xda-developers,
I currently own a Xiaomi Redmi 3 which has a very annoying problem: it has ghost touches in a very specific row. What I am thinking is to write a Xposed module to make Android ignore touches coming from that row to mitigate the problem. Since I have very little experience with writing Xposed modules, can you point me in the right direction?

I, personally, believe that this question really should be posted here:
Xposed Framework Modules
You may have better luck getting an answer there...

This forum is NOT a forum for your to request Lineage for your device! It's a forum for the discussion of development of LineageOS. These thread I'm already seeing pop up about people asking for Lineage posts are ridiculous. This isn't a place to come and ask for people to port ROMs to your device, so please don't treat it as such. Thank you.
Oh god I hate seeing everyone requesting ROMs! I know right now I'm making an irrelevant post as it does not help anybody but I'm so pissed about it! I have no idea about how to build a ROM so I just read and wait, and not harass developers.. People are just becoming more and more dumb, impatient and selfish... Ow I don't have the words but thank you OP for posting this, I hope some will read this and it will stop them from posting ****ing requests! Have a good day anyway..
So delete the other threads asking and create a thread just for that. There are too many people who feel lost and abandoned by CM. They just want answers, don't knock them for being interested and active users. Just don't get mad, everyone is here to learn.

At this stage that thread would be worthless. This group is still in the organizational stage. First and foremost will be to attempt to build for devices that had existing official CM support.
A thread with people posting "Please build for Galaxy Note 4..." Or "Can someone make ROM for...." would be as useful as a list of all Android devices. No one is going to answer in that thread stating "in the works" or anything like that.
Most of the info is in the FAQ and people need to be patient and allow this project to get off the ground.
Thanks for understanding

Shhhhhh.... Don't tell.... I suggested the same thing... Lol
Muahahahaha
great work
Just want to say a big thank you for continuing the good work of CM ROMs. We all appreciate it.
We all need to understand the massive task of picking up the pieces of CM, and making a new product called lineage really is?
Just remember how much volume CM had. The wait will be worth it,
Time will heal the wounds!
And a lot of hard working developers.
Customizing your device the way you want is priceless.

Clock in LineageOS
Hello friends,
By personal reasons I have to wake up in the morning by my phone, an Oneplus One. The last OS on my phone was a CM-13 Marshmallow... but I want to install Lineage OS... Ok, I've tried many Lineage based ROM's, but no one can wake up my phone from power off. Only the latest version of nightly Lineage (lineage-14.1-20170821-nightly-bacon-signed) can do this... But is a problem, a big problem for me... it wakes up the phone, but it's stucked on boot! It's booting for ever!
So, please, can anyone help me with anything to solve this problem? I'll appreciate any kind of help, suggestions, anything!
Or, maybe is planed an update for Lineage who can solve this kind of problems? Please, help me!
Thank you!
Hello XDA,
I have an Oneplus One phone, and, just now I installed the last version of Lineage OS and the afferent gapps. Everything goes fine, I had installed a few apps and I restart it... Now I'm looking at the display with "Android is starting"... but it never starts! I'm waiting for about a half an hour... Sometimes it pop-ups me with something like "Clock stopped working, System UI stopped working, Calendar....."... So, I cannot enter in the system. Where did I go wrong, what should I do to resolve this problem? I installed the Lineage twice... same problem, no difference...
Edited...
Finaly, it starts.... after a new installation... but now all the apps, android services, system UI.... everything "... has stopped" Again, I cannot enter in my system...
Can anybody help me, please?! Thank you.

The last build for the H811 was posted on 2/6. Where can I go to look and see the status of updated builds for this model? I looked at Jenkins, but the builds don't appear to be labeled like they used to be by model.

There's an app on the Play Store called the "LineageOS Changelog" located here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vasudevrb.cmchangelog
It helps you view changes for your device and download nightlies with the tap of a button. It was designed with the Material Design principles and guidelines in mind to make it a pleasure to use.
It provides detailed information for a specific change such as the contributors and the files that were modified.
It can notify you whenever a change is merged or a new build is out. You can also select the devices that you'd like to be notified about. Isn't that amazing?
It also uses colors to differentiate between device/kernel specific changes for a device

Well, if you look at jenkins, you'll see last weeks build failed. This week there was a build issue and the builds are a day late (0221). But they're all available. Alternatively you can get daily unofficial builds if you are impatient.
** this is not a request to support a particular device **
I submitted a patch to review.lineageos.org/ but it was "abandoned" stating that only developers can do this ...
What is the "official" way to enable build for a device? Is there a list of developers (assigned to device families?) which one can use as a contact point?
PS The device in question was supported by the CM tree, so it likely doesn't need to be ported.

The following link takes you to the of all the Lineage maintainers:
http://wiki.lineageos.org/contributors.html
The nicknames normally (I'm not 100% positive for all of them) coincides with their XDA member names.
I'm sure that if you google their nicknames and/or their names, you'll get something that will take you to a Google Plus, twitter, etc... for them.
I wish you the best of luck!

The following link reflects how to submit a bug report:

The following link is a list of of the Developers, Reviewers, Head Developers, etc...
It also provides their Handles that, typically, match their XDA Forum Member Names.

Okay... Let's look at it in a different angle @James_patageul...
First, you have the following Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kenzo
Second, towards the bottom of the link above, there's only one LineageOS Maintainer (aka Developer) listed as "TheStrix".
Third, typically, most/all of the LineageOS Developer's has (and uses) Github, Google+, XDA Forum, etc... and, for example, if you search Github... WHAM! you can locate that developer and can verify it by the LineageOS reference here.
https://github.com/TheStrix
Finally, it's fortunate to be able to see some contact information on that developer's Github page.
That's just one of a number of places that you can search and locate a developer.
The case of The Missing Developer has been solved by Mr. Holmes again! LMAO!!!

I send him a msg on XDA
But admit it, this is not a simple way to report a bug..

When it comes to LineageOS... They do have a few ways to report bugs and, pretty much, all of them are not the best for even the novice user.
I've submitted Bugs and still don't get very much confirmation from them unless I use a number of different avenues and sometimes try and figure out if there's a workaround.
I know how this feels... LOL!

Woo I finally manage to send them a bug report but he got directly Rejected ! because I didn't post a logcat file !
see https://jira.lineageos.org/browse/BUGBASH-857
I explain them that logcat contain too much private data to be send (and way too much long too clean). and they have all the info to investigate this serious case.
I hope I will find an good AOSP alternative to lineage...
