I don't use the tool kit. But the best way I have found to unroot is flash factory firmware, or just install pure Nexus again and that will remove your root and twrp

That no command is the stock recovery. When u UN rooted it prob removed your TWRP
Press and hold Power, then tap Volume Up once, then release Power. This will display the Recovery Mode menu. The first item in the list that is highlighted will give you the option to reboot the system.

I would download the latest ADB and fastboot boot SDK tools in your computer. Then you go to Google and download the latest factory image un zip it and use a note editor on the bat file inside remove the- w that will keep all your data. Hook phone to computer open a command window and type in adb devices that will bring your device number showing u the computer recognizes the phone. Then type in Adb reboot bootloader, that will put you in bootloader mode. You're computer will be in fastboot mode. Type in fastboot devices to make sure computer sees your pixel. Then you can just open that factory image you un zipped and double click it. It will install the factory image without removing your data

You don't need the whole sdk. Get adb and fastboot beliw from Google. Download the full factory image, extract it into the folder from below. Power off the phone, then hold power and vol down and get into bootloader.
Run the flashall bat file.

I had a hard time setting it up on Windows 10 the first time. And part of my problem was having downloaded the minimal adb and then downloading it again from Google. I had a heck of a time removing the minimal to get it working. That link I sent you tells you what you need to install. You only need a few things.

The problem I encountered must be the worst problem ever! For some reason my nexus reboot randomly and its not just a regular reboot but it reboot as a DEEP FREEZE. So basically once it rebooted, it goes back to a same specific point of time. I can't even delete stuff from the phone, for example if I deleted 1GB of music off my phone, after few second the phone will reboot automatically OR if i reboot the phone myself the 1GB of music would be back in my phone. Like WTH? I am completely lost. I have no idea how it happened, but I know it happened after I installed Paranoid Android AOSP 2.99 beta5. I was fine when flashing Paranoid Android 1,3,4. ALSO I cannot do a factory reset or install a factory rom. It just go back to 4.2.1 AOSP 2.99 beta5...
please guys, if anyone can help me that would be great. If you guys need more explaining please email or PM me. I will be glad to write a whole essay on what you guys need to know to help me out. Thank you

That didn't work either. I tried going back to stock but it didn't do anything, I keep booting into 2.99 beta5. I was able to get into recovery mode but I think that when it load the "Google" boot up screen, that's when it start the deep freeze process. Do you get what I mean though? I can post a video to show you guys what I mean. So like if I wanted to flash another ROM I have to go into recovery, but before getting to recovery, you have to go through the "Google" loading screen correct? Then when I get into recovery to flash, the ROM is not there..

Based on the language used in the OP I think he used a toolkit to root/unlock his Nexus and that's why he knows nothing about his device and how to fix it.
OP- look up fastboot images nexus and follow what you read. Basicly you should download the fastboot images and flash them all in fastboot. Then start from scratch again

That's right and probably the cleanest way of going out of this mess. Here is a thread that can help you accomplish that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
Read the instructions carefully because this will delete all your data including the internal (and only) sdcard of your GNex, so consider the backup part of that thread very well.
Good Luck

I couldn't use the driver from the thread you sent, it says "access denied" and I tried to disable windows signature verification but that didn't work either. So I thought maybe I'll use the driver from Nexus toolkit. I manage to complete all the steps from the instruction to the core except for the driver but it still didn't work. It would not erase the 2.99 beta5 and so I cannot go back to stock. Perhaps I should try to use the driver from the thread but I just don't know how to get pass the signature verification when installing the driver. Assist me if you can please. Thank you

I really have not done anything to my GNex via Windows becuse I am using Ubuntu Linux so I have not experienced installing these drivers on Windows. I also have neither returned my phone to stock before nor used the Nexus toolkit. I am doing everything manually.
I think you are referring to the drivers in this page. If you are using Windows 8 then there are some steps mentioned on how to get pass the driver signature enforcement.
If you are on Windows 7, then look here.
Just to confirm something else because I did not read that you have done it, did you try wiping system, factory reset, cache and dalvik cache from the recovery then install any other flashable zip of a ROM on your sdcard (if you have) and still nothing is erased and you are stuck on the same ROM?

Yes, I have but that didn't seem to work either. I put a flashable ROM into the internal memory when it was rebooted, when I tried to go into recovery the file is not there anymore. Its because the phone erases everything that was placed into the internal during the Google reboot process. I even tried using the nexus toolkit to flash a stock ROM, the procedure went through successfully but it still loads 2.99 beta5.
I will try to post a video as soon as I buy a webcam.. But a webcam is cheaper than a nexus phone right now so I don't mind. lol

You may try to boot into recovery then use "adb push" to send the file to your sdcard from your computer. If the file is sent successfully, then you can find it in the recovery and install it thus escape the reboot problem.
Hope this works!

Thank Goodness im not the only one who has this issue... Bugs the crap outta me lol..
To the OP:
Try this, 1: make sure your an admin on your PC. From the sounds of it you may not be if it said 'access denied'. 2: Plug your nexus in while in the 'device manager' section of windows. 3: Find the new device and delete it. Delete anything that says Android ADB or Android anything or galaxy Nexus or Galaxy phone. Just delete them. Windows will warn you but do it anyways... 4: reboot the pc. 5: Plug your nexus back in, it should either install the device or fail. At that point find and download the newest samsung naked drivers and use the option on windows to install driver from disk and navigate to your unzipped folder.
That is the sure fire way to get it working again. Sorry to say if you still have driver issues then your doing something wrong. Do alot of reading and the answer will show itself.
1. Can you boot your phone into fastboot mode?
2. If so, once in fastboot mode, what happens when you connect the phone to the computer?
It is very very difficult to brick a nexus, so don't worry... .

if u dun mind, can u upload these to dropbox? (in my area, mediafire is blocked )
http://www.mediafire.com/download/q0..._Stock.1.4.zip
http://www.mediafire.)com/download/z...g_Version).zip
I can't revert to stock recovery .. it stuck in waiting device (cuz i think usb debugging is not on)
My room is already on B510.
I think the problem (stuck on huawei logo and there is no os) occurs bcoz I accidentally wipe all data (Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Custom Storage, Data, Internal Storage) via TWRP.
What can I do to install OS?
download this stock recovery first
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23252070760973625
^ after you download extract and rename it's file to recovery.img
then
If you can still access your twrp try rebooting in bootloader mode then>
use your adb /fastboot on pc
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then follow the instructions above for how to reinstall your android os
also to download those mediafire files try using http://onlineproxyfree.com/
also in the future when using twrp never format internal or external memory..

also make sure you have adb drivers loaded? try this maybe http://adbdriver.com/upload/AdbDriverInstaller.exe

Hello,
Thanks again bro. but i still have problems.
in CMD, when i typed "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", it's still in waiting for device.
For "onlineproxyfree(dot)com", it's also blocked by FortiGuard Web Filtering.
Yeah.. I won't format internal / ext again
I already installed adb drivers to my laptop.
hmm try rebooting your phone directly into fastboot> hold vol- and power continuously till it boots in fastboot>plug phone back in> then try flashing the recovery again
also make sure to replace your drivers with the ones in the software i provided the link for, also remove any huawei pc sync or whatever the name of the pc software was, it sometimes clashes with adb
maybe try using tor for downloading from mediafire.

Download firmware from official website and extract it. Copy dload folder and paste it in sdcard. Now turn on your device by pressing volume up + volume down + power button. This will force install firmware in your phone.

the idea that i want to reset my tab is that my internal storage is just 500mb out of 16 gb. I try to uninstall some applications but it wont actually.. I try to reset but it`s untouchable.. So i try the hard reset but it has an error too.. "MDM does not allow factoryReset. Phone will REBOOT automatically" dfq!..
I don`t know the problem.. I just buy this tab at the market and used it .. nothing else.. its not rooted or no custom rom apply , or kernel .. just the stockrom

Samsung Galaxy tab s ?

Google "Odin" and how to use it to flash the stock firmware or CF-Auto-root for your device specifics .if you end up rooting it than use Flashify to flashed TWRP so you can format internal storage to solve the issue.

Im so sorry..im searching some custom rom for Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to completely reset my tablet... for the ODIN, still stucked up .. i think its because i upgraded the firmware using samsung kies yesterday.. and now i dont really know what to do... do you have any custom rom for galaxy s tab 10.5 ?
You can't ROM it unless you have root.
Unplug it and power it up .
Have you tried the stock firmware Odin file in the development section .download and extract below tar.file and run it in Odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2800372
Try above Odin file before we
start over.
1: Uninstall kies from your computer
2: grab USB drivers for your device from Samsung's website
3: on your computer go to "device manager" and look under "portable devices" and "other devices" to delete/uninstall drivers and restart computer.
4: connect your tablet and install downloaded drivers from Samsung .eject tablet when finished
5: re download the CF-Auto-root and extract it for use again(delete all previous root/drivers so you don't mix them up)
6: boot into download mode with button combo and re connect your phone to computer and start Odin.
7: navigate to extracted
CF-Auto-root location and open file in AP or PDA slot and run it again.
Seriously no matter what you do and what the screen says ,you can still end up with a partial/bad download.oh and kies is no good cause it knows that your device is up to date.

Give it time to boot,if it don't boot after ten minutes than do the button combo till you get into download mode and start over yet again as far as Odin the stock file and than TWRP .don't wipe right after flashing TWRP ,let it boot first than boot into recovery with another app called "reboot" purple with a yellow lightning bolt is the apps icon
---------- Post added at 12:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:17 PM ----------
Get it to boot after root and custom recovery and then just format the internal SD card and then I'll take care of your situation
---------- Post added at 12:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 PM ----------
Also you need to be more descriptive about what you've done or followed so far .I can give better instructions accordingly

Did you use this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2903733
Try to be as specific to what exactly you have tried.
Why are you trying to wipe the EFS ?
If it's in fact a T-Mobile Note 4 than the Odin method should work with no problem assuming you follow the instructions fully.

Thanks in advance

Help
Hey guys,
Do you have a linux (ubuntu) step by step for dummies?
I'm new to this rooting thing and I feel like I need some help here. I've taken a look into the NRT tool, but it looks like it is windows only. Also, to flash TWRP it requires the tablet to be rooted. Kinda recursive..
Any help will be strongly appreciated

I posted live Linux info before.
TWRP root req is only one of the options.
In fastboot mode (when off press power+vol.dn) do...
Download the correct image file and copy the file into the same folder as your adb and fastboot binaries. Rename the image to twrp.img and type:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot reboot
Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use Google to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. After typing fastboot reboot, hold the key combo and boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.

Then boot TWRP and install SuperSU...zip
Thanks man, but it didn't seem to work. I was able to flash TWRP after unloking the bootloader. The problema is that it gets restarting because it says "could not mount /data folder [...]" and many other red lines.
It is late here, I'll be trying a bit more tomorrow. If you have any more guidance, I will strongly appreciate.
Thanks a lot for your help

I think you were also flashing a ROM/OS at the same time. The following should fix it...
Code:
fastboot format cache
fastboot format userdata
Note, your data after unlocking is gone already, so do not worry about formatting the partition now.
Thanks dude. It works smoothly as it should be. Thanks to you. You saved some hours of my life for sure.
I was able to flash android 7.1 on my tablet. Right now I stuck on gapps because it says it does not enough storage. But when I start android and check the storage it says I'm using 5GB of 29GB.
Anyway, going to work. Will finish it tonight

Can we use an app like kingoroot to root?I am using Kingoroot and when I click the root button but everytime when it is 90%, the app automatically closed and when I reopened the app, it told me the device is not rooted.

2013 version
I am having troubles rooting Nexus 7 (flo) running 6.0.1 with a dead USB port (apk only). Tried Kingroot and towelroot (v3), both would not work. I tried downloading an earlier version of towelroot (v1) but the app updates to v3 automatically (yes v3 uninstalled and cache cleared with restart). Love some solutions as I am totally lost. Thanks.
So I messed up my Pixel 3 XL. When trying to root, I flashed TWRP on the device and it gave all kinds of problems. I could not boot at all.
I then flashed what I thought to be stock boot.img. Now it boots (only while unlocked) and takes me to the welcome screen. It boots with no issues but now the touchscreen doesn't work.
I've tried to revert back to stock many, many times using the guide here & factory image. All is successful except the boot.img - says FAILED.
I suspect that I need to flash boot.img again but no clue how....
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Flash the factory image, wipe and start over.
or
Flash the factory image with wipe removed, backup what ever you forgot.
Then
Flash factory image with wipe and start over.

Thanks for the input!
Even though this is the 20th time I've done that, still the touch screen does not work when bootloader is unlocked but boots to welcome screen. Once bootloader is locked, it says no operating system found and will not boot. Anyone else with a suggestion?

You can't flash a binary. They're there to build custom roms. I always ask because so many people miss this, but do you have the latest sdk platform tools, r28?

This same thing happened to me. Make sure you're using the latest versions of ADB and Fastboot and try flashing the factory image again. I think that is what fixed mine.

... slow down and read more. double check the basics... and for God's sake stop re-locking the bootloader! Leave it unlocked or you may very easily brick your device. ONLY re-lock the bootloader when you know exactly what you are doing and have a good reason to do so. With your bootloader unlocked, plenty of folks here can help you and there will always be a way out. :good:

You may need to re setup fastboot and adb again. I would delete all files that you have and then setup with a new install.
Use the tool to have it setup adb for you so that it is up to date.

Once you get adb set up again go to google firmware: https://developers.google.com/android/images
download and extract the file and then open the file. Extract image file. Open the image file and drag boot.img to your fastboot folder.
Run both commands in fastboot:
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
Then this should start up your phone as it will wipe out twrp. Hope this works for you.

On it and no I have no sim in it currently. The only step I haven't done in that article is the boot to safe mode. Those instructions def dont take me to Pixel 3xl safe mode.
