Can anyone help me with this? I got TWRP RC and this is my first thing I've done to my pixel XL .... I go to cmd prompt...
Typed:
Fastboot boot twrp.img
Flashes TWRP logo like it's failing to load. I should mention I am in the android beta program with it. I wouldn't be against rolling back at this point since my phone reset all my data (if I knew how). I'm on NPG05E
Downloading public release OTA now
reflash recovery didn't help?
and if you solve problem please share solution
I had to download a stock image and fastboot that one ... then I could proceed. A bit of a hassle but much quicker than waiting for the OTA to install me back to 7.1.1

So i messed up when trying to update my watch and somehow deleted the firmware so my watch bootloops upon start-up, any way to fix this?
Im have the same problem. Im stuck in bootloop after trying to flash custom kernel. I can not rech recovery. Not original recovery or TWRP. Fastboot works. What to do?
Is there any restore image to flasH?
Here are three solutions in one answer, because you did not give quite enough info.
First, try holding the button on boot up. Hopefully that will get you into usb mode. If it works, download the sony software, and go to the help section, and download and install the update.
Option two,
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Or, download the version of twrp for your build as well as your original image, and use fastboot.
Code:
Fastboot boot twrp.img
then use twrp to install the factory zip. You can do this directly in fastboot too, but it is more difficult because fastboot only installs each image separately. If I knew what versions of software you had, I could help you find the images you need.
I have tried both fastboot flash and fastboot boot for both original recovery and also TWRP, but non of the recoverys will boot, not even with Fastboot boot.
The command lines says OK on my PC, It is getting downloaded, and it says it is booting / flashed [OKAY].
But all I get on my Smartwatch 3 is bootloop.
My Smartwatch 3 is OEM unlocked. I even tried to lock it, and unlock it again.
I have full contact with fastboot on my PC, all the commands are taken in and seems to work, but my smartwatch won't boot no system or no recoverys. Only USB-mode and Fastboot mode...
I have also tried to clear cache and userdata in fastboot after OEM Unlock.
I will try the Sony Software now. That is my last way out I Think.
The Sony PC Companion software from sony's website worked for me to save my smartwatch from bootloops . I just did a update and installed it over what was already on the smartwatch.
Thanks lekofraggle for quick answeres. I had no idea the PC Companion had this feature.
SimDroid, I am glad that helped. If it hadn't, the next step would be to flash an image through fastboot. That would be scary, because it sounds like your boot loader was corrupt. It's nice to know the usb and PcCompanion piece still worked. Another reason this watch is incredible.
Cheers.
does anyone have a download for the original (5.0.2 im guessing) ROM for this watch? I want off the rubbish 5.1.1 update before i am forced to sell the watch due to the terrible battery
The smartwatch works as it should now, original recovery and everything is back!
So, if i may go back to where it started?
I noticed now that I flashed the custom kernel for the watch built for wrong firmware. Im on 5.1.1, and there doesnt seem to be a developed shared kernel with all four cores unlocked for it.
Im also interested in where I can find those images to flash via fastboot as you mentioned lekofraggle
I have no idea how to root or anything like that, I bought this oneplus 3 and had a update a week later.. so when I did the software update it took me into teamwin recovery mode and now I don't know how to get back into my phone please help....
Did you buy the phone second hand or did you try to flash TWRP yourself? It shouldn't have TWRP installed by default.
Regardless, you can use TWRP to flash the latest update.
Given that you have TWRP, I'm assuming that you have an unlocked bootloader. Did you notice a warning pop up everytime you reboot your phone before? It should say something along the lines of "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted". If not, you'll have to unlock it (it wipes your phone in the process).
If the bootloader is unlocked, you can simply download and flash the latest zip for OOS 4.0.3 in TWRP. This will update you phone and replace TWRP with the stock recovery (so you don't run into this problem again in the future when installing an OTA). If you don't intend to modify your phone in any way, then this is all you need to do, your phone should be functional.
There are plenty of threads with detailed guides on how to do all of this.
I'm also stuck on TWRP after stupidly downloading the latest OTA and I don't know what to do!
Phone won't boot normal, just goes off.
Situation:
- Bootloader, Fastboot and TWRP wil load.
- Device seen by windows
- Zip install in TWRP gets stuck at 'patching zip unconditiontally'
- Another zip flashes, but gets stuck at the end, no reboot option (manually but that's not the way)
Can someone please point me in the right direction? I don't care if I lose data, just want my phone back!

Saying i'm a dipsh-t I know, I know, I will do better in the future, for now, help a brother out please

Simple, check the OnePlus D/L sites for this one http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/recovery_op3.img and flash it by TWRP or fastboot to RECOVERY. Boot once with the official Recovery and all ist fine again.
This is issue of using a faulty twrp so for that when ur phone us booting up go to fastboot and flash twrp 3.0.4-1 and everything will work

Similar Problem here:
just wanted to flash latest OOS 4.0.3, so I flashed back stock recovery with flashify and rebooted into recovery mode to flash the already downloaded OOS 4.0.3. zip. That's when it began to go poop! After rebooting it just went dark with no Chance to power it on again! No dice with power button, Volume up/down + power button, nothing! Not even the LED's are blinking when plugged in. So this one seems to be basically dead!
I got it once booting again after randomly pushing the buttons (after x minutes!?), but everytime I reboot the phone it just shuts off without beeing able to power it on again. At the Moment it's dead!
Any ideas what might happened? If I get it on again, should I immediately reset it to factory Settings?
I am kinda lost here! Any help/ideas would be much appreciated!
Flashify? Never used it and never trusted apps which flash stuff on a running system. Use fastboot and reflash the recovery partition. Link to recovery is in my former post.
fastboot flash recovery PATHTOIMGFILE
Thank you for your advice! Still a lot to learn! Got it up again, will try as you suggested!
It appeared that my stock recovery file was corrupted , but all is fine again! Thank you very much!

I may have been the person you traded with to get the OnePlus 3, but I took the phone back and after 5 hours I got it up and running.
The phone would boot to TWRP, but even after wiping the entire system and dragging a ROM zip to the internal storage, reinstalling did nothing. It just kept booting back to recovery.
The solution entailed the following.
Download stock recovery IMG. Flashed through TWRP. Rebooted recovery and now was back to stock recovery.
Download the official OxygenOS ROM zip from the OnePlus website and changed the name to update.zip
Next I downloaded Android studio for access to ADB. I had never used ADB before, but I knew this was needed to push a file to the phone.
Needless to say, ADB kept freezing my computer when I would type in the commands to side load.
I deleted Android studio and installed a minimal ADB/Fastboot I found online. I opened my command prompt, typed the command for sideloading, and immediately got my installation starting. It took about 10 minutes to fully install. When it was finished, I rebooted and had a fully functioning OnePlus 3

Hi !
Before tonight, i was on a lineageOS 7.1 and i tried to flash the stock Oreo android that i downloaded on google websites. My bootloader was unlocked, so i just used fastboot and flashed all. I had TWRP installed.
It worked. Then i had the stock 8.0.0 with no TWRP anymore ( and i forgot to re-flash it ). Then, i dunno what passed in my head, after the first reboot, i decided to **lock my bootloader**.
And now i'm in a bootloop on the vendor image ("Google"), with a LOCKED bootloader ( so no fastboot anymore ) and i cant do anything. I forgot to go to paramters and allow the bootloader to be unlocked before rebooting...
The only access i got is via adb in the stock recovery mode, but i'm not enough aware of wath i could do with that. I tried abd sideload with the same .zip, but it didnt worked. I get stuck on the same Error when the phone tries to verify the conformity of the flash.
So :
1° Cant use fastboot to take me out of here because bootloader's locked.
2° No TWRP anymore, only the stock android recovery.
3° Bootloop so i cant launch the device.
4° My only in is adb fastboot.
5° My build number is OPR6.170623.013
What do you think i could / should do to take me out of here ? I'm taking anything that allows me to boot the phone.... For what i saw, i'm kinda thinking it's bricked, but i still got hope. I'm comming to you because i'm desperate
Thanks for your advices.

Someone please help me, im really worried i bricked my new phone. I just got this phone about two weeks ago.
So i unlocked my bootloader a few days ago and now since its the weekend i decided i would try to do some more modding with my phone. Well i followed all instructions to the T and now im stuck in a bootloop and not able to access recovery mode. Im worried that when it does run out of battery, which is going to take forever. That as soon as i give it power it will go back into the bootloop. Someone please give me some advice on how to alleviate this issue.
Did you relock the bootloader ?
no i didnt. i was able to get the phone to turn off by holding the power button down for a longtime. so i got it figured out. still would like to install twrp but now im kinda freaked out lol.
Get the SDK tools, download twrp for marlin and the zip, boot to bootloader, fastboot twrp, move the installer zip to the phone, flash it like normal in twrp
Oh yeah good point. Do not flash TWRP in fastboot, you have to fastboot boot into TWRP. And flash TWRP from within itself (TWRP recovery)
okay yeah ive been having a hell of a time trying to get twrp installed i just cant get it going. how do you fastboot twrp?

I've had some boothangs - not loops, but I'm wondering if it might be related to disabling the rapid charge? I keep seeing this repeated in the logcat when it's frozen"

The mentioning of the thermal makes me think of a possible relationship to heat and rapid charging... but I'm no engineer.
I encountered this problem after messing with my hosts file and thought I would post my solution even though this was for the pixel 2 just in case anyone else is searching for the same problem. To get it to boot again I flashed the factory boot image in fastboot. I then patched the factory boot image with magisk manager and manually flashed this in fastboot. The phone then booted up fine. This still happens occasionally on reboot when I make changes, but repeating the process gets it to boot up again.
Hi i have a pixel xl. I had it rooted via magisk and I had LOS on it. But then i decided to go back to stock. I did that but i forgot that I had to uninstall magisk so i locked the bootloader and wound up with a stock rom rooted. It worked for a while them it started crashing. Im not too sure what happened or what i did it was a year ago. So anyway when i turn it on it says the bootloader is corrupt which it did before. Android flash tool did not work wok. I can boot into recovery but i dont know what to mdo no.
can someone please help me.
Also I am able to use fastboot I just tried from my pc. I just dont know what to do to fix this. I know I have to somehow get twrp back on the phone and flash the magisk uninstall.zip. But this was so long ago i dont even remember which version of magisk I was using or which magisk uninstall file to flash.
i was able to get a flash-all .bat to work but im still in the same position. Basically the phone gives me the message your device cant be checked for corruption then goes on to the google screen and eventually the screen goes blank and it starts over so it is bootlooping i guess.
Can anyone tell me how i can flash twrp.img on the phone with fastboot? Right now the current active slot is b. I tried typing fastboot flash b then the twrp.img file name and it gives me an error. Am I supposed to be flashing to a certain partition?
Please someone help I am not very good with the command line. I dont know all the lingo
