Go in xperia android development on these forums
there you would have to look for a thread in which it will explain exactly how to
completely flash a new firmware.
Doing that should help you fix your problem, also you should try restoring your phone through PC companion software that comes with the phone you might lose all your data but atleast your phone will start working again.

Few Questions

to pg101: don't close/delete this post unless im satisfied with the answer
Q1: where can i have official firmwares of stock rom?
Q2: if you're phone is hard bricked and soft bricked. is there any solution of recovering you're phone?
Q3: kies don't know what firmware i am using, that's why, i cant get an update for my phone... and kies don't want to search for latest update for it
Q4: i'm gonna borrow my classmate's galaxy y and his on original stock rom. if i backup it using the skin cwm, and restore it to my phone, does it works?
Sorry for noob question. I'm just a kid who don't want to lose/destroy his phone and in a poor family that sent me a gift (Galaxy Y) for being a 1st honor in class.. I don't want to waste it because my parents worked hard for it .
(DRAMATIC, but it's True xD)
(don't mind my story! just focus on my question!)

Q1: I dont Know
Q2:can be searched in forum
Q3:what?
Q4:It can be done, thats what i meant by stock nandroid backup
can you upload you're nandroid backup ronnieryan?
about the q3. what i mean is "hindi alam ng kies kung anu ang firmware na ginagamit ko at ayaw niyang mag search sa latest update."
1. you can get one from sammobile.com. it can't be flashed via odin and considered useless anyway.
2. the most easiest way, flash it via odin.
3. it seems that you've installed custom ROM. please check your bin counter, if its >0 your kies will never update your firmware.
4. yes.
search before post please...
You obviously havent read the Operation Iron Fist thread, and so assume that I will allow this thread to be open?
This is not a noob feeding ground, you MUST search and post questions in the FAQ thread.

Need to Restore Xperia SL to Stock

Kindly help me. I rooted a friends device, but since i have rooted none of the roms work properly. Actually I had not updated the stock rom to latest version. Just unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone. I need to revert it back to stock without bricking the phones. I have rooted and played with HTC phones as well but never had any issues.
As far as i know for Xperia SL we need to go to flash mode and flash the Stock rom using FlashTool for Xperia Devices.
Can someone just provide me links to the stock rom for SL.
I know itz noobish to ask what i am asking. But itz a friends phone and i dont have it for enough time to do research and try eveything hence need a straight foward approach. Thankx a lot i hope i am not a bother

[Q] Downgrade LG G3 to stock kitkat

hello there folks
I just ordered the LG G3 online and it'll arrive somewhere next week. Ive bought this device most beceause of the easy rotting and TWRP method (just install Stump, use it to root and then flash a TWRP .img with flashify)
But this company (Its called Mediamarkt, Europian people will probably know it) seems to feel the need to upgrade their devices themself, so Im afraid Itll probably already have Lollipop on it when it gets delivered. If this happens to be the case, how can I flash back the 4.4.2 stock rom?? I know you have to use KDZ, but I aint very good at it so thats why Im asking you guys. Its the Europian 32gb D855 model. a reply that includes the link to the right KDZ file and proper instruction would be awesome!
(dont refer me to other posts as ive already seen all of them, otherwise I wouldnt make this thread)
Thnx in advantage

compatibility of custom roms

Hello guys , i wanna know if the custom roms in this forum are compatible with my moto g5 Brazil version(baseband version : M8937_22.29.02.56R CEDRIC_BRAZILDSDS_CUST), a have some serious issues flashing some roms in my samsung gran prime because the version released in the world is a little different of the one released in brazil , anyone can answer me that pls ?
(Sorry my english)
Your question has been answered multiple times. Why it is so hard to use the search function?
well , i search terms like compatibility , brazil and xt1672, and nothing related show up , then i went page after page and still i found nothing related (just hardbrick under this variant)

Hello...
Go to the guides session, there you will find some discussions on how not to brick your phone.
Read them and you should be good to go.
Basically what happens with the G5 is that you can't very simply go back to a stock Rom once you unlocked the bootloader and flashed a custom ROM.
This has to do with Custom ROMs and TWRP being 64 bit while stock firmware being 32 bit.
The hardbricks that you've mentioned happened when you've installed a custom ROM then you reverted back to stock and received an OTA update, that will definitely hard brick your device. But from what I've been reading, people going back to stock without reading anything hardbrick their G5's in general. Right way to go back to stock seems to be flashing 32 bit TWRP then finding a Stock ROM Zip file to flash with it.
But take my word with a grain of salt, I've just skimmed through some threads, don't know if I'm correct.
But it seems that as long as you use only custom roms you're good to go, the problem is if you try to go back to stock, it's not as simple as other phones, but anyways, I haven't done any of these myself, so read yourself through all of it, take A LOT of care if you ever want to go back to stock.
I personally haven't done any mods to my G5 yet, which is quite unnusual of me, simply because l don't think the Oreo ROMs available are worth unlocking the bootloader.
Namely, when we have official Oreo from Lenovo or Official lineageOS, then I think it's worth ( or not, maybe I'll root before that)
I want to add just one information, once u put a custom ROM on your phone, VoLTE is gone, in other words you won't be able to make calls using the LTE network, so your calls will be made under 3-g or GSM.

It's not that you can't go back to stock...you can go but it's just not intuitive. If it was you I was just going to read through the forum because I saw some tutorials on how to go back to stock it's pretty possible it's just not simple as it was in previous Moto G edition, but it's possible.

For example, This Thread shows you how to go back to stock using fastboot. Don't know how reliable that can be, you should research it by yourself: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/development/official-stock-moto-g5-cedric-firmware-t3733897
