Has anyone seen a way to bypass exchange security. On MM there was an xposed module that would take care of it, but as we don't have xposed I was wondering if anyone had found an alternate solution. I've seen a couple of other solutions for older versions of android so I'm assuming that it is possible outside of xposed.

What I do is use the email app Nine. It lets you use the pin on only the app.
All 3rd party apps that I used to use have been blocked as well. First nine was blocked and then mailwise. I wonder if there is some way to modify them so that they identify as stock email app?

Hello, looking for a way to disable exchange security on the native lg email app. I would rather not download a third party app. I tried both modules available on xposed with no luck. Im know they just work with stock aosp mail app, but i figured id at least give it a try. so i figure now my best bet is to see if there is a custom lg mail apk out there with security disabled, like ive seen in the past for s4 s5 ect.
Any help is appreciated..
.......Well i should have maybe looked through all of the setting of the g3 tweak box before posting didnt realize there was option to disable security lol
but if someone has a custom apk woth security disabled. I would still appreciate if they shared
Thanks
I found this one. Please try http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/mod-exchange-security-bypass-4-4-2-t2818469/post54198593
there is also an Xposed module for that and you get to keep the stock email app & avoid the hassle.

Which one. I tried 2 different and they did not work...
AT&T has finally released a FireTV Uverse app (seems to be a lot better then the PlayStore Uverse App), but like other apps it comes with a root checker that blocks video playback.
It gives the following error, “Playback not allowed because device is not secure”
I know others have come across this problem with other apps that do the same root check. Has anybody found any workaround for this ???
I know there are some "hide root" kind of apps on the PlayStore but I am not sure which would be best for a FireTV. Or if they even work at all.
Any info would be appreciated... ty
You could use hide root applications ex. Rootcloak, hide my root, etc. But ultimately unless the actual application is modified to hide root detection in code your chances are slim to non basically. On xda I've seen certain applications that were modified to work with root ex. Time Warner. But then the developer pushes a force update. Also developer can write new code to make sure app hasn't been tampered. Hope that helps.

Right, Was just wondering if anybody had tested out the hide my root type apps on a FireTV already. Seems most of them have not been updated in a long while.
did you get a solution for this? thanks.

Sorry but since I refuse to un-Root any of my 1st Gen FireTV's the only solution I found was to purchase some FireTV Stick's when they are on special ($25) & connect that to a separate HDMI port to use for Uverse & or any other App that wont work correctly on a Rooted device...
Another option would be to Display Mirror the Uverse App from a phone or tablet to your FireTV.
After rooting my Note 7, I've noticed that my Knox counter has been triggered, normally I would mind but several apps seem to depend on it to work properly(I can't even open S Health!). Is there away to reset it yet? thanks
Nope. When you root, a physical fuse in the phone is blown, so unless you have epic soldering and mad haxorz skills then you're pretty much screwed
get it exchanged in the recall, and don't root your new phone.
there's not that much you can do with root that you can't do without root, especially on recent high-end Samsung phones.
I am rooted and my S Health works. I believe the only thing that would be permanently disabled is Samsung Pay. Some banking apps will not run if you have root but you can always install an Xposed module called root cloak to circumvent that issue.

S-health is still there, do a search and you can find instructions to access it. You should only lose secure folder and pay, if you want those things you should follow the advice above and not root your replacement phone. I'm not beating you up here but as an FYI you should have known the ramifications of rooting before you rooted, it's best to know what you're in for before you commit to a course of action that may be irreversible.

Sadly depending on what you want not everything is available without rooting.
Unless you can tell me how to change all app dpi individually.
YouTube adblocker
Synapse
Adaway
Greenify... not as as good un rooted mode
Amplify
Smart network

you're mentioning specific root-only apps.
obviously those won't work, but there are alternative methods with (close to) the same results.
adaway: adguard, it's better anyway(doesn't rely on a system designed for no more than 100 rules, easy to toggle on/off, supports whitelisting of apps, supports firewall functionality, and can target not just entire domains but also single lines of code)
adfree YouTube: yes this one is trickier, you'd need a 3rd party YouTube app or the website+adguard to avoid ads.
alternatively you can use "Cygery AdSkip for YouTube" to automatically skip ads after 5 seconds.
as you said, greenify works just not as effective.
similar "power saving" functions however are built in on recent android devices.
and from what I can tell every function in "smart network" except switching to 2G can be achieved without root using tasker.
synapse and per app DPI are the only things on your list that are completely impossible without root(although using game tuner's resolution settings you should be able to influence scaling in some apps)
Also if you use YouTube backgrounder, OGyoutube works great and allows background / downloading of content. I'm still looking for an ad free YouTube but this suffices in the meantime.

do you have the link for it? when I try to open it, it says the following:
"Unable to open app
Because of a new security policy introduced in version 5.0, Knox is not available on compromised devices"
I've already frozen all the knox apps I could find in TB.
strange, I just checked my 2-year old Note 4, the knox has also been triggered awhile ago, but i could use S Health fine. Why would S Health have anything to do with Knox?

S Health may use Knox to protect your health data (HIPAA in the USA).
The S-health thing is new, people are circumventing it by an app that lets you access the widget and from it you can open it up or some such, don't use it so I paid little attention to the fix. Don't remember where I saw that but it's here somewhere shine, I would peruse the development threads, I'm thinking I saw it in one of them.
I have Magisk hidden from the app, but it won't verify my location due to it being installed (so clearly hiding it is either not working or not enough) and since sports betting apps have to verify your location for legality, it makes the app useless. Has anyone gotten these apps to live in harmony or do I have to resign myself to having to choose between apps working or having control over my phone?
ive not heard of anyone being able to get round this problem. I doubt you are alone as there are hundreds of people on reddit and other sites complaining about how bad the app is and using fanduel or betmgm instead -

I don't think that works either.. I stock rom on OP9 pro with bootloader unlocked and app works. It sees something else. It might be problem combined with something else that trips the geolocation.
Obviously I am rooted but it seems AdAway is not working? I'm not doing anything different on this phone vs what I used to do on my old phones (systemless hosts is enabled). Anyone have the same issue?

I'm not currently using Adaway but I was a couple day ago and it was working fine without issue. I wasn't using the Magisk system-less hosts though, I was using a different host file module. Don't think should matter though.
How to you determine that it isn't working?
Many ads are changed from external dns sources to delivered by the visited site.
First method can be blocked, the second NOT.
So you may see an increasing amount of ads, while adAway is still working as expected.
Sadly you would need to analyze the the visited side and detect each ad as such to prevent ads delivered by the site visited. In the past we blocked special formats, e.g. skyscraper banners which had been normed a long time. Long story short: we get to the limit of doable things here. Sadly.
Works as it should!

I will take relay for reddit (free) as an example as this is what I normally test with. On my old phone, no banner ads at the bottom. Oneplus - the banner is there.
