To avoid maintaining two separate threads, here's a link to the thread I made in the moto g4 forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/development/fxz-athene-twrp-flashable-fastboots-t3562147
What are these for
i guess these are flashable zips for stock roms. that means no need to run fastboot command from pc...just flash these through twrp
@Q9Nap, i tried the marshmallow zip files for models ending with 23.1, 63 and 64. All of them returns error saying "this zip is for athene but this is athene_f" - something like this. I updated to the model number ending with 63 before nougat....this I remember clearly. Dont remember which was the original model no. when i bought it. Can you help me which one should i flash? Mine is moto g4 plus indian variant.
Edit: i read the comments in main OP and checked my device's /fsg/bundle_release. It says FSG-8952-03.68 ......which means mpj24.139-63 or 64. But i tried them both. What is the problem here?
P. S. : sorry for posting here...i have pushed this comment in the main thread too

As I mentioned in the OP, I don't want to maintain two threads, so please post in the main thread.
Also, it would be helpful to know what error you received if you want help troubleshooting.

Hey guys,
I was using Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex to flash b4 installing the new rom. it is showing 100% done and my phone reset, and all look fine...
however when entering bootloader screen it is showing me the version as 1.34.00 (sth like this), and check from the rom in the setting of the phone..it is still 1.34.xx (the original rom).
I was following the steps from some posts in the forums...but still the same..
Can anyone please help? sorry i am a newbie to pda phone...
Thanks again guys
can you follow the steps here exactly and let me know the result?
hard-spl upgrade guide
I have a similar problem. When i made HARD SPL everything is ok, but when i try to make a ROM update there is an error massage on the screen. I tried with 2 or 3 ROMs and always the same ****... I downloaded the official one and it's the same... I made printscreen here it is ---> http://img29.picoodle.com/img/img29/4/7/2/f_gggm_0346e0b.jpg any ideas ?
maybe you installed the rom using sspl and hard spl did not install when you tried to install it. Not sure if this is possible.
Let check the Hard-SPL installed:
press volume down and soft reset (small red button) together and keep until comes out the 3 colored band in the screen, read the Hard-SPL version, it must be 1.40.
Let us know, ciao.
that's the windows error message saying it needs to close.. what's the error message the RUU gives.. it should have a number, or description of what happened. sure your download is not simply corrupt?
Well I have downloaded it 3 times already and every time i tried to make ROM update after HARD SPL my device cannot make upgrade and this error massage is on the screen.. I made soft reset after HARD SPL and there was no 3, but 4 colors on my screen...I thought that I ****ed up the phone, but for my luck I'm not hehe. BUT The f***in version is the same:
ROM version: 1.34.831.1 WWE. ROM date: 05/25/08. Radio version: 0.93.25.NS16. Protocol Version: 52.24.25.08H.
Please help, I don't know WTF!?!? That version is just NO COMMENT!
Thanks...
yeah can you please state the exact error message that comes up?
also, can you confirm you have Hard-SPL on your device.. if so, which version? (signed or unsigned)

Yea after i followed the steps it is working all fine for me. I think my original problem is the way to enter boot loader screen, but then during the flash of the signed rom (1.37.456.2) i found that the version for boot loader is SPL-1.40.OliNex .
Now all is working fine, thx guys!!!
1 more question, if i have the hard spl installed, flashed a new rom. What should i do if i wanna flash another rom? (let say, after RUU-1.37.456.2 i wanna flash 1.37.401.3). Should i sspl and hardspl and install the new rom? Or i just simply install the new rom without hardspl again?
Thanks again!!
no, hard-spl is 'permanent' on your device unless you manually revert to stock SPL or something..
just flash another ROM without flashing Hard-SPL again

Could you please stop flashing your site all the way here? Here at XDA there is a lot of info how to flash your phone, it is not needed to flash your site all the time here. One time is enough.
i'm not 'flashing' my site.. if one time was enough he would have already gone through the guide. i didn't even MENTION the site, either, simply gave him a link to the guide. if you take time to read the thread you'll find that it actually helped him get hard-spl on his diamond which is why the site was created so we can minimize these kind of questions and threads in the forums.. if you spent more time actually helping people instead of writing ridiculous posts like this maybe we'd have a cleaner and more productive forum
Thankz guys thatz helpful

not possible, at all, and don't try either, you could screw the device up if you try to flash a ROM we signed.

ya, ridiculous cause there is no step by step upgrade guide with pics in the forum, and yeah all the info was there, but obviously some ppl have trouble reading so i gave him the info he needed. You on the other hand have yet to say anything helpful in this thread. So stop being a troll and post something useful. this will definitely be the last reply i waste on you

I asked the OP of that thread, and even PM him, i think he is busy or not online. If he gets the job done it will be easier for all of us. I hope we will find a solution to it.
Says uploading. Meaning that you were able to dump it? If so, please explain how since we are several people that would like to dump JF3.
Cheers.

Optus Rom
So is the link in the first post the optus dump rom for the galaxy s unrooted, with all optus applications like my account, etc...?
My phone(e973 bell) had no signal when I came back 4.0.4 from 4.2.2. I tried to install other KDZ files but the problem still hasn't been solved. My phone now has no signal. Help me:crying:
solution might be to flash another modem? I'm not sure though. One thing I would recommend is probably to post this in the QA section instead because it doesn't seem related to a specific ROM or any Canadian ROM development.

I'm sorry about that, could you tell me where I can download modem for e973? thanks a lot
No need to create the same thread in multiple forums... Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting thread should be sufficient. Thread Closed.
I can't seem to find any Bell or Rogers stock ROMS for the Note 8.
I didn't realize there was a 5120, and tried to flash a 5110 insecure image.
I can't believe, that after many months, no one has ripped and uploaded the stock ROM, and no one has has provided a rom that I can find yet.
SOMEONE ... please help.
BTW I tried "N5120XXCMH2_N5120OXACMH2_N5120XXCMG7_HOME" via ODIN and it fails.
I tried "KERNEL-BTU-N5120XXCMH1-1375359679" and the screen gets artifacts. (BUT I can get into CWM and/or Download mode).

Not that I don't want to help, but these questions have been asked so many times that I'm getting tired of answering them. Since you're new, I shall help you for now:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034087
Also, being new here is not a valid reason for asking questions as trivial as this, so please learn to do it yourself.

I supose you have unlocked your bootloader with the link @popthosegaskets provided. Now just head over to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320872
and pick a ROM that suites your needs. Every ROM has its pros and cons i guess so Id advice to scroll the posts of the different ROMs and check what features they have, what bugs are still present and decide uppon that.
Most developers suggest you a certain Kernel to be used with their ROM, and either provide you with a download link to the kernel or include a boot.img with their Kernel.zip. Additionally to that some developers request you to download some fixes/modules, those are aswell listed in the Kernel/ROM forum post. Once you have the Kernel, ROM and modules/fixes, follow the Kernel flash instructions on this forum post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131284
once the Kernel flash is done, install the ROM and modules + fixes, always check the ROM forum post because some developers want you to flash modules and fixes in a certain order. You ofcourse might want to put all this files on your SD-Card and install them via CWM.
