which rom choose? please answer me

i have buy a new htc diamond sfr 1.37.163 and it is bad so i want to upgrade the rom but i found a lot of and i don't know who is the best please answer me

You must check every single rom by your self. Every ROM has your own tweaks and tricks, every rom has bugs...
You can start from "old" Roms based on 20*** because they stable and checked.
For example Nataly1.1 or CT's 6.4 with HD feature.
So First of all you will need Unsigned HARDSPL and then just play around...

The stock ROMs are the official ROMs from HTC, arent they? So they should be installable even without HardSPL, right?

Which one would be recommended if one is after a rather plain and small, but current ROM with as few preinstalled applications as possible? Basically a plain WM in its newest version without actual third party programs.

A particular reason why you recommend the unsigned version?

U have to use unsigned hardspl on your device, else U can't install the custom rom.
Yes it's from HTC. So you don't need a unsigned hard-spl.

I was referring to the HardSPL supporting unsigned ROMs (which would be less secure), but I think you mean the HardSPL (the modified SPL) in general, dont you?

Yes, so there the default or official SPL should work. Its basically like upgrading to a ROM downloaded from htc.com.

Questions About i8160L

I have a galaxy ace i8160L, and i want to install custom roms, but i see that there is a model i8160 WIthout L (and i see other with i8160P), dont know where to start, and i dont know if i can use all the tutorials from i8160 to i8160L. I dont want to brick the phone for doing something wrong, also, if there is any way to avoid flash counter that would be great (i see a flashable for CWM but for i8160, so dont know if can be use it with i8160L)

Search around the Ace II general forums. There was one or two guidez on how to make this possible. For gingerbread only so far. also, I'm not sure but maybe you can use the manual flash counter reset using terminal.
oh by the way, there's a q and a thread and its stickied, any further questions that are not related to this should be posted there since most of the users are monitoring that thread therefore a better chance to get an answer.

You should ask in the Question and Answer Thread, not making new threads for just a single question.
And i8160L is the NFC version, there are a few ROMs as mentioned by Dro1ne and you can try installing non-L ROMs but you'll most likely to lose your NFC functions and a little chance of brickings. CMIIW though.
Should one see another pointless thread without asking it in the Q and A Thread, don't reply to it and let the thread sink to bottomless pit of hell.
EDIT: sorry for the harsh language, it's just really getting annoying when I see new threads but just asking a single question of not the same question again and again.

OK guys, so I bought my HTC Inspire 4g and I am willing to mod it (I post in this forum because I was told that in fact it's the same device). So I am interested in installing this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37060683) on top of a custom kernel, please suggest one (or is it not needed?). So I actually need to root, s-off, bootloader unlock, flash a kernel, flash the rom and be happy . Now, can you please provide me links with instructions for all these? (Rooting, s-off,BL unlock,kernel flashing,rom flashing) and anything else that my phone might need? Thank you you are helping a huge noob!

What about reading a bit?? You have what it is called stickies that you should read before doing anything. Read the guide in my signature and that will guide you. Also visit the link in my signature (Ace Think Tank thread)
Being a noob will not excuse you from reading a using the search engine or google.

Like you realised, you're in the wrong forum, but you can still repost your question in the right place
Please do some searching before you do anything. I've read a few of your posts and you don't seem to like to use Google to find things by yourself.
For that phone, think you'll need to unlock bootloader (you've asked about how to do it before), install a custom recovery, make a nandroid backup, then full wipe and flash the ROM. These are standard steps widely available
Instructions will also be in that particular ROM thread.
But like I said, please do some searching for guides as they are all there. The more you read, the more you learn, less chance of things going wrong again Best of luck.

So, on these forums, people are doing voluntary/non-profit work to post their findings and write tutorials to help others. That's ok, it's their choice.
This forum came equipped with a search engine that helps you find information based on what you want. It's great, thank the webmaster for that.
If this forum doesn't have the information that you are looking for you can request it in a nice way, well written, etc. That again, is okay and acceptable.
YOU! You, skipping all those steps and making a brand new thread... just because you can, filling this board up with junk... not even trying to use search or just browse page by page the specific sections... Are simply scum... You think people here should write a tutorial just for you to understand, losing their time for free?
How are mods keeping these threads up? No, really... is it that mods need to respond only to tickets and reports?
