Most likely he resoldered the original 16Gb EMMC, and replaced it for a larger one presumably taking clues from the SSD Migration Thread(s). Which makes me wonder if he managed to successfully transfer the Security Sectors form the original EMMC to the new EMMC?

Remove the original 16G EMMC, read the BIN file with a dedicated device. Methods refer to the PRO version of the modified SSD. and then modify the BIN file EFI partition table, 2 locations. Will change the FRISTPART.BIN and LADTPART.BIN by the new EMMC size to write in different locations. Install back, start to do factory reset

By Security Sectors I mean that the Shield TV has managed to survive being a Widevine L1 Device. You can check this by installing DRM Info (From the PlayStore). You'll either retain the L1 Status, or you'll find yourself degraded down to L3.
The practical upshot of all this is if you want to ever use, or plan on ever using either Amazon, or Netflix, than you'll need to be at Widevine L1. As Widevine L3 will not play anything at all from such services.

It does you might have to click the Chinese Pop Up off that's hiding the link. But as hosting providers go.... I would recommend something like Image Frog.
Strange, it wasn't working when I posted, but it seems to be working now.

Ok Image Frog, was confused on my part with ImageShack. Which now requires you to login. So that's likely right out. A quick shufti for free Image Hosting on Google did however turn this up.
https://imgsafe.org
The only problem with that method though is you have to copy paste the links into a Notepad Page. If your gonna want to link to them over multiple Boards. As these Hosts tend to be more fire, and forget hosters.
On a slightly different train, you could also host those Pics from within your own Google Drive. Should you wish to retain whatever control over those Images.

I have found another ported version on another forum, but there you have to use WIFI as the network. But I hope you don't have WIFI in the places where you wonna recognize a new song as in your car or club....
So I modded the software to use GPRS/3G network.
In addition on other version I found it installs to the main memory, but you can install my version on your SD/Internal Memory/Device as you wish.
This software is FAST, Looks cool and FREE compaired to the alternative available.
Install and find more by yourself. Read the README file after installation.

I searched the xda-forum before posting, and found that
1. others needs to do the registry change manually.
2. the whole 4.5MB software essentially installs under WINDOWS folder in others.
Because I like installing in one shot and each MB is precious for me, hope the others would feel the same way too.

Bottom line all I want to know, I will not get charged for using this correct? Free to download, yes. But charges on my bill are not.
This looks like a pretty hard nut to crack. I don't know exactly what caused it. I was rooted for a few days and was just reflashing Magisk (messing about you could say) when it turned up. Previously, I just had the warning with yellow text which is what everyone gets after unlocking the bootloader. So here goes the overview, please bear with me:
===> I reset the phone by flashing OnePlus5TOxygen_43_OTA_006_all_1712062242_69a5125fb2eb4d87.ZIP (OxgengenOS 4.7.4). <===
Exact steps on how I did that:
1) I flashed the stock recovery image via fastboot ( I got it from Oneplus's website)
2) I booted into the stock recovery I flashed in step 1 and flashed the entire ZIP (the one with the long name above). Probably flashed the recovery twice but yeah.
But no dice. It will absolutely not go away. The zip does not contain any other IMG's apart from boot.img and recovery.img so I can't really flash other partitions like system via fastboot. I CAN flash system via my nandroid backup, and I did, but that still did not help.
Here is the error I got. It's from a google search but it resembles the error on the OPO5T very nicely. So can the experts chime in please?

Not used to posting my own answer but maybe this will help someone. You need a full reflash with the Qualcomm tools. OPO support can do this, or anyone with the flashing tool, the correct firmware image, and drivers (the latter being easy to find).
There are tutorials online to do this, the only thing missing is the correct firmware image.
To summarise the requirements:
1) Qualcomm drivers (easy to find)
2) Qualcomm Flash tool MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe (fairly easy to find)
3) The correct *.ops firmware image (hard to find and you need the password)

For OnePlus 5T "OxygenOS 4.7.2-171116.zip" it is exactly 10 characters. The driver RAR-password is a lot longer (>20). Don't even try to brutefoce that.
If we already have the opt file someone could just set up a keylogger on their machine and have op support do the remote flash and thus capture the password from them lol

Agreed. I preordered one from T-Mobile on their "half off" promo, but then I had the opportunity to buy an AT&T 9+ for WAY less than half off. I'm hoping once Samsung ships it out & I get it sim unlocked, I can flash the unlocked or T-Mobile firmware on it.

I came across this thread while seeking Nokia Oreo firmware, but the excerpts complaining of insufficient/incomplete partition contents grabbed my attention.
I have the genuine R16NW.G965USQU1ARB7 firmware I personally sourced and extracted last month that is 100% if you guys have been unable to do the same or have been unable to find someone offering the same.
The archive is in simple .zip format using the ZArchiver Android archiving application.
The firmware download and extraction was originally performed using Debian's latest operating system environment and then copied to my OnePlus 5.

System OTA zip is 2.5 GB. So are there over 10 Copies of old Systems ?!
(And LOS Androids are around 400-800 MB).
So it's just crazy.
Not that I'm running out of storage soon, but that's just about the principle.
I wont accept that some Android OS reserves 28GB for itself.
I can have dual boot Windows and Linux on my computer on that storage space ...

I should do this https://giphy.com/gifs/the-simpsons-hank-scorpio-zqhZB6bo5FgoE
But ranting and joking aside, this 28GB System partition provides really ZERO additional value compared to my previous 10GB System partition on the OP6.
So I hope there will be a way to shrink that to some sensible size ...

Looking at my storage, the system partition is 26GB but the actual used space is a small amount of that ~8GB or so. It's mostly empty. Odd.
My guess is it is so big to allow the update to be unzipped and flashed even if you have the phone full otherwise. Remember iPhones used to not update due to not enough space to unzip the update file.

If this is the reason I'd be amazed - they'd be fixing a problem that isn't widespread.
The Op7t has no real system partition. It's so "big" in theory because it's thats maximum space that can be allocated within the super lun0 partition (super partition contains system, vendor, odm and product partitions).
See details over here : https://source.android.com/devices/tech/ota/dynamic_partitions/implement

That makes sense. However is this super partition fixed size or itself is dynamic? If it is fixed then oneplus is definitely over-allocated it, thus wasting space.
Hardware:
Isudar PX6-VW0907
Software:
SDDiskTool_v1.59
ha3_11_rk3399_11.0_烧录包(20220316).zip
HCT8 ANDROID 11 OTA UPDATE (20220412 )
I created a bootable SD card using SDDisktool and the image and flashed the A11.
After that I had this picture:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Now I imported the HTC8 Update.zip and the error was gone:
The main reason for flashing was that you can no longer import Chrome updates with the Hal firmware.
At first glance, I really miss the lock screen.
I haven't tested more yet.
Be careful, do it at your own risk.
I had to try several different SD cards and storage adapters before it worked.
I don't understand ... why is it so important to update chrome?

Nothing, but I have automatic updates turned on and if the browser stops working when I need it, that's not nice.
did you use the img with the HA3 launcher right?
Can you please tell the options of the SDDiskTool?
Have you choose Upgrade Firmware or the SD boot?
Also how many gigabyte was the sd card you are using?
My problem is that my unit cant locate the bootable sd card and I cant upgrade the bootloader for android 11. I get black screen. I have succeed to upgrade the bootloader from 9 to 10 but now its not working. I am using the same docking station HD100 and the same sd cards. I start to change the uboot file of tool. I cant understand where the problem is... whatever.
I will wait for the developers to create something more stable for the bootloader.
Thanks anyway
i use this SDDisktool.
Yes the HA3 Image.
Firmware upgrade.
32GB Samsung.
Flashing took at least 20 minutes.

why don't you remove automatic updates only to chrome and android system webview?
Do you give up a great mod just for this?
From the mod I only use the lock screen and the MTCDialer. If the dialer doesn't work, I'll switch back.
I haven't tested everything yet.

[MTCD/E] Android 10 upgrade using official Free tools
To upgrade a MTCD/E PX3, PX5, PX6 from Android 6+ on using official Rockchip free tools - a reminder, bringing together multiple threads. First note - if coming from Android 6 - early versions of Realtek dual BT/WIFI (type 2) are not supported...

Okay its the method with the USB A-A cable.
Test after 2 days:
Google apps work, probably because Play Protect is certified.
Dialing with MTCDDialer works, but not with "Hey Google".
Unfortunately no lock screen.
I can connect with WIFI WPA2/WPA3, not possible with Hal firmware.
It was already possible with the latest A10 update (HCT7r_rk3399_10.0_ota(20211012)).
Otherwise everything has remained the same so far.
I flashed the Hal firmware again.

Any chance of checking if "this feature is not available on this device" is showing when trying to enter "ethernet" on the headunit's settings? I've got the same head unit as you (but with stock rom) and I'm trying to use a 3g/4g usb modem with a sim card for internet acces but with no luck..
I can't say that, I'm back on A10.
