Hello everyone
My Mi Max is on MIUI 8.1.3 rom. I have a battery drain issue from FindDevice app which is a system app in priv-app and cannot be removed. I tried removal with titanium backup but the phone gets stuck at logo and does not boot. Freezing the app also does not do anything.
Does anyone have the same issue? Do you know how it can be solved?
Thanks in advance
2 methods:
1/ Do not setup Mi Account from the initial wizard settings.
2/ Look like your phone is rooted, use "Disable service" app then disable any service related to that app.\
Hi
Thanks for the info. 1.I did not set about from initial setup but later. 2. I tried disable service already. It is not able to disable services listed under finddevice.
Deleting the app doesnt work either (bootloop) . Freezing doesnt work. No idea how to delete it.
In mi account, can you turn find device to off?

after I flashed a new rom all my apps from play store hasn't automatically restore making It difficult to me to go manually Install 100+ apps.
any thoughts? Is anyone facing same Issue? how can I fix It?
thx
Hi,
I wouldn't rely myself on the automatic restore in Google Play when changing roms. I always use an app to dump a list of all installed apps, and restore them manually since the autorestore almost always stops somewhere in between.

Google always works for me when I reflash a rom but I only have 30 + apps
Whenever I clean out my device and do a clean install of a new ROM, Google never recognizes the change. If it is the same ROM, no problem.

Hey guys , when I got the galaxy s8+ I couldnt download applications unless I am on WiFi , has anyone experienced this , till this day I still cant download apps , I have cleared cache of google play and services , I even restored the phone and still nothing.. anyone have any idea ?
You need to go to the play store settings and uncheck wifi only...
You can also go into play store, and select which app you want to download. Stop it, then start it again. That is what I did when I had just bought my phone and had to work within that hour. Needed eBay at work lol
I have it so that it downloads from either wifi or data , I have also tried stopping it and restarting it manually , still nothing..
Clear data and cache from download manager.

It happens to me occasionally. I've tried all of the normal fixes. It's just random.
No help on this link, it just shows my issue. Link to my issue

Try restarting the phone, it happened to me with the ported roms. Am keep it to download on auto for data and wifi.

Restarting does not help it. It's just random. Every couple of days it happens.
The only thing I have not tried is a factory reset.
I had the issue. Clear data and cache from download manager fixes it.
Settings > Apps > Show System Apps (3dot menu) > Download Manager
Force Stop, Clear Data, Clear Cache. Then Reboot.

Try going to Data Usage > Mobile Data Usage > Media and then click allow background data usage and Allow Data App While Data Saver Is On. It might solve your problem

I'm able to block every Single ad in my 10.2.1.0 Stock Global Stable Rom, even though I'm not rooted and with locked Bootloader. With Blokada.
This might help,
https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/
Also you could try apps like Adguard, Adclear and Blockada, where as Adaway requires root.
There is also an option to turn off system ads by turning off msa app.

Hey, I've installed Blokada following your advice, I have a question, does blokada autoruns on your device? After reboot I have to manually open it, if I swipe the app away from the recent screens it closes and have to rerun it manually. I've disabled the miui energy saver for blokada, I've enabled the run at boot, persistent notification, whatchdog and force wakeup (I'm translating since my app is not in english) but still I have to manually run it and I must not close it from the recent screen.
Any ideas?

Then you have to lock the app in recents menue and your not allowed swiping it away, since MIUI have a very strict energy save management even though you turn it off.
Is there any way to uninstall system apps like mi app store and others.
I've tested 'pm uninstall user bla bla' using adb on my old poco f1 with miui stock rom.
It seemed ok but when i rebooted my phone, it didn't boot up and I had to do data reset.
So I just want to know that is there any way to uninstall because I don't want to unlock bootloader. Sorry for my bad English.
I think you cannot uninstall any system app without unlocking and then root the phone to access system tray.
Have you read this article?
Try it :
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/amp/
Tell here if it works.
It's working. Have done this directly on Day 1, before I could unlock my BL!
I've orientated me on this List, from our Brother, the "big" Mi 9. There is a list of the pre-installed apks, which you can uninstall. Pretty the same like on our Mi9 SE
Thanks a lot, I was searching for a way to do that too, as there is no custom rom yet.
I'll try it right away.
Hi there, I can recommanded XiaomiADBFastbootTools: https://github.com/Saki-EU/XiaomiADBFastbootTools. Uninstall/Reinstaller system apps and services on demand. etc. Need installed JAVA.
Hi, it seems quite cool, does it work properly with Mi 9 SE? Is it safe to uninstall all those apps from this device, too?
Yes I did uninstall all apk here. All is running and you can install all apk back via aplication (reinstall).

Finally found the solution on the Mi Forums.
Goto Settings -> Apps -> Permissions -> Autostart. Enable both options for 'Google Services Framework' i.e. 'Allow apps to start automatically' + 'Allow the app to be started by other apps.
Restart phone.
After that I could sign in.
Maybe the Autostart setting is necessary for contacts and calendar as well.
Thank you! You saved me a lot of trouble, I was about to install new ROM on my phone just because of this problem.
I am replying to this in the event that someone else has had the same problems. I have a cc9 pro China rom. I downloaded the miui 12 update yesterday and Google stopped working. After several hours of trying all the fixes mentioned here and elsewhere this si what worked for me.
Delete everything Google.
Redownload the Google.apk from get apps.
Go through the cycle but parser error will come up.
Go to downloads and click install for first item.
Back to Google apk press button again for second item. Parser error will show.
Back to downloads and install.
Do this each time.
Once installed go to play store and make sure auto updates are turned off. After getting this working the play services updated with the newer version, which in turn stopped everything working again. And I had to go through the entire process again.
DO NOT UPDATE GOOGLE AY STORE OR SERVICES.
The only thing now not working for me is youtube which is not compatible with the old version of the play store.
Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for posting this - I was having major issues on my Mi 10 Lite Zoom until finding and trying this. Everything worked great - for about a week, and now none of my Google stuff works again?? Any thoughts on why? I guess I'll uninstall everything Google again and redo your suggestions above, but I certainly don't want to do this once a week?? Thoughts?
I am using redmi note 7 pro...facing same issue after updating. I did try uninstall google play and install again...but still can't sign in

Hi
You just have to try to make "Google Services Framework" and "Google Play services" to Autostart, as i told above.
