5x bricked, what can be done? - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, my 5x is bricked, symptoms are following: it turns on and only goes to bootloader and download mode. adb/fastboot doesn't work and there isn't recovery. when booted to bootloader device manager detects as some kind of android device(Port_#0002.Hub_#0004), when in download mode device manager detects under ports/com as port 6. any help or advice will be highly appreciated

Keep it overnight in bootloader mode to discharge battery.
Next day connect it to a PC to charge it slowly, turn it on later without charger (try to charge max to 15%)
It should boot in power saver mode.
Later try to disable 4 and 5 core and it should be working.
If not, you need to use heating method

ok, I will try that, but I think there isn't os at all, so how it boots in power saver mode? when I turn on it automaricaly goes to download mode

[Q] Arc s with no os and battery dead not booting

Hi guys, I'm here because I'm deseperate. My arc s won't boot if i press the power button or if I connect it to pc . It has no os because i format the system folder while I was trying to flash a rom, and the battery is surely dead. I cannot enter neither in fastboot nor in flashmode. Is there any way to charge the phone so that I can flash any firmware? Or should I buy another battery?

It will go in Fast boot mode Just press Menu key(on my neo v its on right side of home button) and see if blue led turn on in your arc.
if your device still not entering on fastboot mode and you want to charge your mobile battery then find any compatible universal charger for your device
I guess by saying "universal charger" what fenix meant was a spare battery charger which, charges batteries while unattached from the phone itself... or he/she probably was referring to something else.
anyway, the spare battery charger that I know looks like this:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BA750-Ba...Arc-XPERIA-Arc-LT15i-Xperia-X12-/170822357636
or you can just search through google for it using the keywords "spare battery charger LT15i anzu".
good luck!

I think you have to leave it charging for a while before you are able to turn it on again. Just give it some time

Try another charger/usb cable, just in case the one you're using is defective, or charge the phone connected to a computer

Hi,
I have/had the same problem. The problems started, with the phone powering down, at half the battery level. Then I got a spanish battery overheating message. After the message appears, the problem starts.
I solved the problem like this :
First you have to completely drain your battery. How to do that ?
- Go to the boot-menu (press power on button, and volume up at the same time). Select : Fastboot. The phone will halt. BUT, keep your phone in that state, so it consumes energy. After a while your phone will go out. After that : go again to your boot menu, but DON'T select any options. After a period of ± 5 minutes your phone will go out.
- THEN : remove your SD-Card, and SIM-Card.
- THEN : Connect your phone with the net-usb-charger. DON'T connect it to your PC.
- After 1 to 2 hours of chargeing, your down center button, should start glowing blue again.
I got my phone working again 2 times using this method.
I hope it works for you.
Phone Restored with this method! Thanks pal!
worked for my phone
thank you very much

Hi lineu, Thank you so much. I'm trying the 2nd method which you advised as dont have access to bootloader itself.
during this step, when using xFSTK Downloader 1.7.0, in download status i can see
"Details: BATI:42415449: Batter voltage: 0x45(1294.760000V) The threshold: 0xbf(3.585000V)" and progress bar shows only 8% for a longer time. am i missing something.
My phone is in dead state, i cannot even see charging icon in the screen. Appreciate your help on this. Please help. Attaching the screenshot for your reference.
I think that error is because the battery go to 0%, any chance to extract it and charge manually? With that process u recover the bootloader and later u can use the Asus flash ttools
Or try again the procedure (u can see if the windows device manager recognize the morefield driver when u connect the phone)
how to charge battery manually? as when i connect to the charger it is not getting charge.

I tried to charge it but only the charging battery icon shows up but it doesn't charge even if i left it overnight. I tried to access it's recovery mode but it bootloops only. BUT I can access the download mode easily but If I try to connect it to PC then boot it in download mode. It just die and bootloop. I know that only the download mode can help me on this. I just can't simply use odin/kies cause my device doesnt connect to PC. Tried to use different cables/Reseatting the battery but nothing happens.. Also, it only boots/respond when connected to a charger. Is this soft bricked? Please help... Thank You.

Unbrick Redmi Note 8 PRO for Incorrect TWRP Installation Without Authorized Account

After I try to flash twrp using Miui 11 the device turned brick, follow the tutorial to resurrect the RN8PRO without using Mi Authorized Account:
0 - If your RN8PRO turns brick and is connected to USB on the pc just 5 seconds make this tutorial.
1 - This method works only if you have installed TWRP and the device turned brick.
2 - Disassemble your device by doing test point your device asks for mi.
3 - After trying to pass the official rom via miflash or sptools, the RN8PRO asks for the authorized account. CANCEL.
4 - Disconnect all devices from the motherboard, GPS, 3G ANTENNA, CAMERAS and WIFI, leave only the battery on, if the procedure does not work disconnect the battery too.
5 - At this point your device will be working perfectly, plug in the USB cable, press the power button + volume button - the device will go into fastboot, flash to rom STOCK by miflash leaving selecting the Clean All option only. Wait to flash the rom , this process may take 15 minutes.
6 - After Flash your device will turn on normally, turn off the device, remove the USB cable, reconnect all previously disconnected devices, close the device and turn on again.
7 - Ready your device will be working again. :fingers-crossed:
8 - If the procedure is unsuccessful, wait for 4 to 5 days for his battery to completely exhaust, charge it for 3 hours and then redo the process. :good:

Discharging battery will only be useful for when recovery/boot are not crashed. When anything happened, installing twrp, boot image etc, it will very easy to crash, based on your desc, it's hard bricked, need authorised account to refresh. Prepare for $30 to deep flash....
