Is there anywhere that has the Nexus 5X in stock in the USA? I can't find one anywhere! I know Google discontinued them. I seen them cheap on Amazon a while back but missed my chance. I'm only interested in a Brand New, Sealed, H790. I can find H791 but those are international. (GSM Only)

I forgot about Swappa. I ended up pulling a new in box sealed Nexus 5X 32GB Carbon Black for $280 on eBay. I think that was a pretty decent price. I remember seeing them for $240 when they were being discontinued but not sure if they were 32gb or 16gb.
I sold my Moto Nexus 6 for $300 so it works out. It was flawless, replaced the Mid Frame, Battery, and Rear Cover with OEM replacements before I sold it. ($30 in parts)

Lets hope you dont end up with a Nexus 5X that has the bootloop issue. May want to call LG when you get the device and double check the build #/IMEI to make sure.

I didn't come across the Bootloop issues info until after I purchased it! I was scared to update it to 7.1.1. I did though, I have had zero issues so far! Everything is working great. The person I bought it from said that their original had the Bootloop issue and Google replaced it for them. That is the one they sold me. They listed it the day they received it, box was definitely sealed! I would hope that Google sent them an "updated" replacement. The phone was shipped to them from Google less than a two weeks ago.

I just got my board on the phone replaced by LG. So far, its working fine and I'm back on current version of PureNexus Rom 7.1.1
If your phone has been refurbished, you should be fine, but there is no guarantee. I'm only telling you my experience and opinion with my phone.
Good luck and enjoy!

If mine was refurbished, they definitely used a brand new housing and display. It was factory sealed in the box. The build date said 10/15, but there was a new sticker covering the old one. Hard to explain.

I'm looking to purchase the Galaxy Nexus GSM, and I am located in the USA. A few different places have it for ~$450, and I am trying to find the best place to purchase it from.

For anyone else that purchased it in the USA, what do you recommend? I have read of issues with fake ESNs, and I thought I read that there were different versions of the actual device (Japanese version, etc). Any major things to watch out for? Where did you purchase from, and did you have any issues?
Update - Responses from Amazon Sellers:
Global Mobiles:
the Samsung I9250 Nexus comes with a return policy of 30 days and 2 years manufacturers warranty in Europe. You can claim the warranty by yourself at Samsung Europe or ship the phone in case of a warranty to our office in Germany, where our technicians will handle the claim for you and send the phone back in the US after the repair.
And its EU stock. The warranty is valid in all EU countries, not limited to one.

Got mine from Amazon with next day shipping. I have prime so it was only 4 bucks for next day.
I'd say Amazon is safe as long as you get the one fulfilled by amazon. If anything goes wrong with the phone when you first get it you'll atleast have amazons great customer support and be able to return it.
My first gnex was from daily steals and the phone had a defect within first 24 hours. It took nearly a month to resort things and get my money back although they refunded my money in its entirety I'm pretty positive amazon would've been a lot easier.
Other places with positive reviews are negri and expansys. People say these places offer some sort of warranty which you'd normally wouldn't get with a gray market phone. They essentially act as a middleman for you and samsung. You send the phone to them and they send the phone to country of origin (typically samsung UK) for warranty repair. A bit longer of a fix but pretty good for ease of mind.

I got mine from Expansys-USA... last I saw a couple days ago it was $469. It's official yakju build as well. Worked out especially well for me as it shipped from the same state (Illinois) so I got it in like 48 hours from ordering.

But isn't there a way to change the build of the device anyways? So the only difference is software based, not hardware based? I know the Nexus S had a LCD version, and an AMOLED version - I don't need to worry about that here, do I?
I sent a message to a few Amazon sellers, asking them what the warranty situation is, and what version theirs are (what country they import from). I'll try to report back when I hear back from them.

Yes the only difference is software, and you can change any i9250 or SC-04D to "yakju" and get Google OTA updates. It takes all of about 15min to do.

I wouldn't expect much as far as warranties go with an Amazon seller. If you want a warranty I'd go with a reputable non-Amazon seller like Expansys or Negri (and even then its shady at best and you're trusting that they can take your phone and forward it to Samsung Europe). You're going to spend a bit more for it though so I'm not sure if its worth it for you.
I got the $450 Newegg phone. It turned out to be a Docomo SC-04D, made in Korea, 12/2011. I have had zero problems with it. I immediately flashed yajku IMM76D and went on my way. No problems with the IMEI, it matches the one printed on the box. If the NTT battery cover bugs you, there are stock battery doors available from any number of sources.
Expansys dropped the price down to $469.99. Good deal, especially with all the warranty and repair service they assist with.

That would be greatly appreciated - I'm kind of stalling at this point as I have a busy week of school to get through, and don't need a new toy to play with. I'm leaning towards Amazon as I have a bunch of gift cards that I need to spend.

Correct no warranty but an order fulfilled by amazon should give you a window of being able to return a defective phone. In my case I believe it was 7 days.

You have a lot of faith in your phone. My Nexus S screen went bad 6 months into owning it. If it wasn't for the warranty it would have been an expensive repair.
Also keep in mind that with a voided warranty (buying anywhere but Nergri or Expansys) Samsung will not fix your phone even if you pay them, because it is grey market. A few unfortunate people on XDA learned that the hard way.

Which problem did you face?
I got mine on Thursday from amazon for 430 $ but I didn't realize it was from saxx mobile, now I'm super scared its a refurbished phone, 20 $ didnt sound like a huge difference so i didnt suspect at the time, I should have been smarter and should have not trusted that too good to be true price phone hasn't arrived yet

Haha. Not too much faith but enough faith. My first phone I acquired through Craigslist but had a small scratch on screen and banding that was driving my ocd insane. My second through daily steals samsung did actually offer warranty fix but I had to ship to country of origin which was in Poland. Luckily I had people I knew in Poland who id be able to ship to. But alas daily steals offered me a full refund since it was prior to 30 days. I figured after two faulty phones I was due for an alright one.

You should be covered by the Amazon A-to-Z guarantee if it is refurbished or anything. If you have any problems, I recommend talking to Amazon customer service. They tend to be pretty good about stuff like this.
Would the warranty start working in the US if Samsung starts selling the gsm Galaxy Nexus here, or do they somehow know that it was imported and not allow people to send it in for warranty repairs?

I would get it from the Amazon link and make sure the one you buy is the one that is fulfilled by Amazon.
I purchased one from ebay and ended up getting the NTT Docomo version with a horrible screen with all kinds of banding.
I then purchased one from Amazon (same link) and got a regular (UK?) version, with a much better screen.
I will be returning the ebay one.
Both arrived with the Samsung seals broken (probably because they had to be unlocked)? But they were pretty much brand new in condition.
Good luck!
My old first gen Nexus 7 has the dodgyist usb socket ever. So I'd like to replace it with a Nexus 7 (2013 model) because it has QI charging. Has anyone had any luck lately buying a new UK or EU model Nexus 7 32gb in the UK? Or does anyone know of any legit online shops selling them? And yes I know this is a long shot & yes I have used google.
BT shop. Looks like it's the last one.
http://www.shop.bt.com/products/asus-new-nexus-7--2013--32gb-2gb-wifi-android-4-3-8XCD.html
In the last 3 months I've bought 3 from Cash Converters and 1 from Computer Exchange.
All of them have been around £100 and in practically mint condition. All four are going strong with no issues. If you want that piece of mind, buy from Computer Exchange as they give you a 1 year warranty.
I cant see any reason in buying this tablet for £238 new on the BT website. If it was 2013, £238 wouldn't be a bad deal. 2015 on the other hand, hell no.
I got mine from Asda in the black friday sales, they still have them in the two big Asda stores near me. The sale price was £140 but they usually sell them for £200

Sadly it was only the 16gb model they had.
Pretty sure argos still have them, that's where I got mine from last year, I don't really recommend buying from there if your the kind of person who breaks stuff a lot tho, since you can't take it back unless it's faulty
I really love this particular model. My main one is on the fritz.
Where can I buy a new or refurbished one at a decent price these days?
Worth trying eBay? I don't know about elsewhere, but in the UK Argos regularly has refurbs on there for about half the price of new ones.

I have found an almost new Moto Z Play on eBay for £238, is this still a good buy? I have a Nexus 6P and the battery is beyond bad, I wand decent performance, screen and headphone audio, plus amazing battery life. I can't find it brand new anywhere in the UK (apart from for £338 on Amazon). So would I be stupid to buy it for £238 from eBay? I've heard that the performance is deceptively good for a mid-ranger!
Thanks.

I was in John Lewis MK and they were selling it for £260 sealed last month.
I've had a look online and no retailers have it now I think last month was pretty much the last month it was sold.
Just checked, they sell almost every moto phone but the Z play!
Let me know if you see one anywhere?

does any website still selling Mate 20 X - 8/256G 4G version... ??

Networks here in the UK only have the 5G model in stock.
The 4G can be found on eBay but most are pre-owned. The few brand new ones are very expensive, they cost more than the 5G model. I spent a long time looking for a reasonably priced new 4G but couldn't find one.
I've just received my 5G yesterday and I'm really pleased with it so far.

thank you, maybe 5G version is the last hope... if 4G isn't available anymore.. I am not satisfied with Aliexpress... could see lots of complaints and the Vendor is not responding to messages.
let me dig eBay for some time if the vendor responds... I will try to salvage any new item left out there...

@SivasankarC
You're welcome, I hope you have success getting a good deal on the model you settle on. What country are you in?
Mine is the 8 / 256GB 5G version, that's the only model the UK networks have now, the 4G is a much earlier release.
I did a lot of researching over the last few weeks trying to get the 4G, but of the few brand new ones I saw the cash price was way too high.
There's no way I'd invest a big chunk of my cash in a phone from outside the UK, if there were any subsequent faults I'd imagine I'd be pretty much screwed regarding the vendor sorting it out. So I never bothered looking at Aliexpress or international sellers on eBay. You saying the vendor isn't replying to your messages is a typical scenario I'd rather not be in.
Initially I preferred the 4G above the 5G, mostly because of the larger battery, but I believe the smaller 4200mAh should still see me through a typical day's use.
And whatever model you get I'm sure you will be impressed with the big screen, it really is awesome!
I'm in exactly same situation. Really want the 4g version but can't find it anywhere. Except eBay used items. I should have bought it on Amazon when I had the chance 6 months ago....ahhh.

Whats wrong with used?
Thanks for the feedback guys. I am not very keen on used. Simply because I would rather a new device with 100 percent battery health. I plan on using this one long term. At least 2 years.
I have bitten the bullet and ordered one from a third party Amazon seller. Looks new. Got it for £499. Looks like it was the last one too as no more available now. Should be with me in few days. Can't wait!
Huawei discontinued the 4G model long time ago around time the 5G model released.
I really love this 4G model and want to get another one as backup.
If huawei released the 4g model in 2018 then a 5g model in 2019 hopefully theyll release an updated version for 2021, fingers crossed. Its possible that the black shark 3 pro is enuf to attract the attention of huawei to compel it to make a 2021 model as an answer to that competition with same screen proportions as its previous models. Again fingers crossed.
Just got my brand new 4g model today. Factory sealed. Very impressed so far. Typing this on my new 20x! It is a monster. Two handed phone for sure. Gonna be putting it through its paces next few days.
