Hi,
It is a chance to have another wifi connection with TL-WN722n on Amazon Fire Tv box 2 (4K )?
What I want to say : to disable internal wi-fi , and connect this usb dongle on USB port , and connect to my router.
Thanks
I really doubt it. Why would you want to?

3g Dongle
Hello, I own one of the 16GB WIFI versions and am curious if there is a way to use a 3G dongle and an OTG cable to get internet on the tablet
Recently I bought a micro USB to LAN adapter for the 8.4 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Micro-Mbps-Ethernet-Adapter-Tablet/dp/B00AKXE59E/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1399975910&sr=1-1&keywords=lan+to+micro+usb+adapter
But, when I connect to to my router, I'm unable to connect to the internet via LAN as "Ethernet" is always greyed out in the menu.
I'm pretty sure in the past when I connected a laptop, I just plugged in it and away it went.
So I don't think I need to alter anything on the router.
Is there a way or enabling LAN on the tablet, should it self enable when the cable is connected or is the adapter not suitable ?
Thank you.

Never mind, yet another request for help unanswered.
Anyone ?
I did the same and after a few days of trying to connect it finally worked - for one day! Now the ethernet option is greyed out again, so it does not seem to be the gadget but the tablet. Also had been using an external keyboard and mouse which quit at the same time. So much easier to troubleshoot a real computer. You just dont have access to anything but the 'user friendly' interface with these devices!

Has anyone had success connecting to the SD card via wifi on this accessory without using aukey's provided app? I'm thinking there's some way to add a wireless drive with some app to manage it?
I can get to it via: 10.10.10.254/data/UsbDisk1/Volume1/
To see all devices connected try: 10.10.10.254/data

Hello.
Is possible to use it as a NAS?
Eg. Connect the triplink with an rj45 cable to my Home wifi router and share/store my stuff in a sd/pen drive
Thank you
Hey All,
I have finally managed to run a cable from my gigabit router (ASUS RT-N66U) (downstairs) up to my FireTV box. It has been working without issue (unrooted) for a couple of years via WIFI (both 2.4 and 5ghz). When I plug in my ethernet cable, the settings tab on the firetv always shows Cable Unplugged. I have tried removing and replugging both ends. Relocating the firetv right next to the Router using a known good cable. I have connected the cables and rebooted the firetv. Still no ethernet via hard cable.
Any suggestions to get this to work??
Thank you!

did you disable the wireless network? It may be trying to connect to both, which is a no no. Did you try to access the internet? Sometimes it connects without feedback, it takes a while to connect.

Did you disconnect the Wi-Fi? It can't connect to both
Yes, I tried forgetting all network connections. The problem isn't internet connectivity it doesn't see that the ethernet cable is plugged in. Though the router see data and link activity from the firetv.
Any ideas?

Any resolution to your issue? I am NOW having same issue... wired connection was working just fine for more then a year and one day just stopped. Cable is good, I plugged in my laptop there and all is working as expected but as soon as I plug it into AFTV, it says cable unplugged.
I'm afraid I never did get it working... Sad. Very Sad.

I have my FireTV 2nd gen working via ethernet since 'day 1'. The ethernet cable is connected to a switch, then to another switch then to the router. Also had the FireTV connection on DHCP with its MAC on a reserved IP.
Check if FireTV is set for DHCP or using a 'manual' IP; also check the router & look at the "attached devices" to see if the FireTV is connected, wired or wifi.
hello i have problems with my moto g 5g plus
so i have usb-c to ethernet adapter from tplink and its working fine on samsung s10 and other phones on my motorola when i connect it i get ip adres and i have internet but i cannot setup ethernet connection i canot setup my ip adress dns etc.
to me is a big problem becouse of my work i need to have static ip adress on my phone to that adapter so i can acess mediaconverter for fiber optic trught lan port.
so example when i connect adapter to samsung its says ethernet connection press here to setup and in connection tab i have ethernet adapter options.
When i plug in my moto i dont have nothing even when i am slave so live connection from ruter to my phone i dont have ethernet options anywhere in settings.
did some one try to play with that or maybe custom kernel or something becouse its a good phone but i need that option so i can ditch my laptop
sry for bad English
Samsung S10 has USB 3.1 but moto g 5g plus has USB 2.0
which means that the S10 can out video and compatible with dongles and cables that other phones with USB 2.0 are not compatible
