Cyanogenmod - OTG not available

Hello everyone,
does any of you using Cyanogenmod rom (latest nightly build) has been able to make USB OTG working?
i'm looking to listen music with my ODAC amplifier and sadly this is working with the stock ROM & not with the enhanced ROM
thank you in advance
Try with my builds of cm-12.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/orig-development/v500-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3130490
will i have to do a fresh install or can i install it on top of my existing ROM?
i did search on your thread but didn't find any info related to OTG, does it work on your side?

You can install on top of cm-12.1 official builds without wipes. OTG works as expected, that's why nobody complained about it.
Thanks a lot, your ROM supports OTG as said and now i can listen my music with my DAC.
Thanks again!!!

ViPER4Android on HTC 10

Hey guys,
was anybody of you able to install ViPER4Android on HTC 10 7.0 Nougat?
There is an official Nougat version released, the apk run's perfectly, nonetheless the app everytime returns that the audio drivers need to be updated/installed. After pressing "yes", my phone tells me the audio drivers were installed and I need to reboot the phone.
After the reboot the same message that there is the need to install the sound drivers?! Tried it a few times now.
And yes, my phone is rooted.
... and would you say it would make a difference to install ViPER4Android even if the Boomsound of the HTC 10 is already pretty nice?!
Thanks guys....
Hi,
It is necessary the version 2.5.0.5 and in Zip, not in Apk!
Diverse file are needed to work.
It is integrated into my Rom Pyrana NO7-0.8 with Dolby.
@+
In my honest opinion, A.R.I.S.E can do the same as what Viper4Android can do except it actually has huge device support.
I used to use it but I now don't need it due to an upgrade of the speakers I was connecting it to, works almost identically and can sometimes fix the secondary speaker that doesnt work on some ROMs. nothing third-party seems to be better optimized for boomsound though, the standard is usually the nicest sounding.

[BUG][Custom Rom] Problem with audio jack, no sound on LineageOS microG Custom Rom

Hello everyone !
I tried the LineageOS microG version, as I want to try to use my phone without any google stuff and go full FOSS.
So I found this ROM here : https://lineage.microg.org/
And... everything is working fine, no Google software and still my phone is perfect and full FOSS. Except for the jack plug !
Sound is working fine and I can connect my bluetooth speakers and Bose headphones, sound is good.
But when I want to plug my jack 3.5 cable in, it's not working, I have no sound at all. I disabled AudioFX and still, nothing ! Youtube videos are buffering and have no sound too.
Looks like it's a software problem, because I installed AOSP Extended custom rom and jack was working fine (with gapps nano flashed too).
I don't want to switch ROM as this full FOSS is an incredible experience for me, so if anyone has a solution, I'm taking it
Thanks in advance, cheers
Hello ! I'm using this ROM right now and jack is working fine... I think you didn't flash the latest firmware (5.1.3) from this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3728665

Question GSI on G30

hello, a few months ago I put a GSI on my moto G30 (ArrowOS), I actually liked this GSI a lot... but I can't use some phone functions like bluetooth and headphones on the P2 output...
I use headphones a lot and I was using one with a USB Type-C output but this headphones is having some problems and I want to go back to using my JBL bluetooth headphones that I stopped using because it doesn't connect with my cell phone...
But I don't remember how to put a GSI and I don't even know a good one that I can have a good performance on battery and in games...
Can someone help me?
Hi. GSI performance doesnt varry that much if at all so pick any you like best.
Look at phhusson's GSI List to find a GSI that is compatible
(Must be a higher or equal Android version to the one your phone has stock and the GSI shoud be A/B and arm64)
Your problems sound quite generic and are mentioned in the GSI Troubleshooting FAQ
Such as:
Wired headphones not getting detected.Solution 1Enable alternative headphones detection in phh settings and reboot
This one ^ worked for me and should work for you too i believe.
Bluetooth connecting to device and then disconnectingTry disabling A2DP offload in phh settings
I've tried this too but cant remember if it worked, what works for me is going to the Bluetooth settings for the device and disabling HD Audio.
You can find more fixes on the link above.
About installing the GSI first flash the stock ROM and then follow Sammm77's GSI Flashing Guide.
You can try ArrowOS again with the fixes above and see if they work or pick another GSI.
If you need any clarifications i would be more than happy to help!
