Have just received my new Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. Please can someone tell me how I can activate the Sync feature that used to be available on previous Samsung phones. This used to be on the drop-down menu of my previous phone. Thanks.

Go to apps-samsung memebers-support-optimize settings, then you see auto switch sync.

We have too many toggles to see all of them. There were three hidden and sync was one of them. Just long press on any toggle and this will show you the hidden ones, one of which is 'Sync' and let you reorganize the toggles at the same time. Let me know if this worked?

So Google now offers a custom pinnable tile for WP7. For those who don't know what I'm talking about here's more info:

The thing is I was offered the option to pin this tile at one time and said no. Now I can't seem to get access to this tile anymore. Since the specially formatted blue page is just a webpage, can someone who has access to it post the URL for me please?

Just clear your browser cache and try again. It should work just fine.

You were always able to do this. Only thing that changed was the icon went from a thumbnail of the website to a google logo

I am not sure if this is a bug or just something on my end. I can't find anyone else having this issue or not anywhere. I have Nova Launcher 2.1 and just recently installed Nova Launcher 2.1beta1 and am having the same issues. I wanted to create a shortcut to a document as I have done in the past. I have a few folders on a page to the right of my Home page. For some reason, I can't add any shortcuts. I am using either ES File Explorer or FX. When I hold on a document, and choose "Add to desktop" it would say, "Short cut added to desktop" yet it's no where to be found. However, if I go to the "Touch wiz" launcher, all the shortcuts are there instead...
Any ideas?

Hey buddy, i am in the exact same boat...infact i have posted the same question about a day or so ago here and didn't get any response: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288152&nocache=1
Im starting to think that im the only guy that wants to home screen my bookmarks/pages, until i seen your post here. I don't get how such a great launcher can not have the ability currently to homescreen bookmarks.
But as you said, when you flip over to another launcher they are there. I really don't know how to fix it or if there is a fix, i hope there is...as i want to continue using Nova.

I am in a similar situation. I guess the recent update of Nova would have bug on it. The issue I have is that I tried to add a S Note shortcut to the homescreen, but it wouldn't show up. It showed up on Touchwiz or other launchers.
What I don't understand is why though there is almost nobody with knowledge of it anywhere. Its like its the forbidden subject that nobody can speak of. I even emailed the developer and got nothing back.
Its just bothersome to me that with all the power that droid phones have, Nova simply can not let one add a shortcut to the home screen from web browsing.
Going back to 1.8 or 1.9 will probably solve this problem. ...
I'm going back. Wish me luck.

Or we can spam Nova thread in xda -make the bug popular,until we have some response http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389071 -There's no easy way to do this as the dev has allegedly been unresponsive to emails.

Its there in the official xda post- the same one I linked in my previous post-the same post you downloaded 2.1.

Hello, everyone! I am brand new to Android development, and this is my first app. The idea is simple: scan a book's barcode (using an intent to the Barcode Scanner app), generate an MLA citation, export by whatever means you wish. I intent to add more features in the future. For now, I need my solid base functionality tested.

I've tried it out, although I scanned only a couple of books.
After scanning screen goes black, when I presume the app looks for the title book, but I surely should present a spinning wheel or something. The first time, screen remained black, I had to press the back button to get to the app and have the pop-up.
Besides, when scanning another book, it simply crashed (for reference, it was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret, UK, adult version)
Anyway, the title recognition works fine
P.S: I think Android design guidelines recommend removing the dialog titlebar in this case
I'll give it a shot here soon. any specific tasks you want checked out?

Worked for the first book i scanned, asked for publishing location, gmailed it to myself.
Second book it scanned bar, black screen then force close. possible it's not gracefully failing a search?
tested on ATT S3 with 4.1.2
I also scanned my cigarettes and it said not a valid scan. wonder why

I used gamepad mapper to set the controlls for the nvdia shield controller in N.O.V.A 3. But if i exit the game and shut off the controller and want to play again later, then i have to set up the controlls again for the shield controller from the gamepad mapper. I want to know how to save profiles.
Plz help me. I just bought my shield tablet and controller.
i'm curious to how this is done as well, it's not obvious from the interface.

figured it out. you gotta touch the share button and upload it as a profile. at least that's the only way i could get it to work.

I even tried that but when I download my own profile from their server it doesn't work. It just shows two of the buttons I set instead of all of them.

on my Moto G5 Plus (Android 8) i'm able to set multiple DND rules for Weekdays, Weekend etc. On my Samsung A50 there seems to be no way to add multiple rules.
Is this no longer possible in Android 9 or is this a Samsung thing?

I was really hoping to see a response to this query. I too am searching up this issue as one schedule will not work for me - I used multiple with my previous android. Did you find any answers?

I just found this elsewhere.. there is a way!
In another thread, Samsung's "Sound Assistant" app was recommended for adding Do Not Disturb rules to the ONE that is present in main sound settings on my wife's Note 9.
I was able to add three rules to the two that were already available in this app.
I tested it out and the rule started on time and when I texted her, the phone made no sound and her Fitbit Charge 2 vibrated and showed the notification.
Check point made.
Once you install it, go to the Scenarios section of the app and add any schedules you like
You can also toggle DND with Bixby Routines and set it on to run on a certain date/time as a trigger.
