Hi guys,
So I sent my note 2 to the repair shop because the glass was cracked and I want to change it. The display and touch is fine though.
I received back the phone with severe burn-in I would say. The shadow of keypad and status bar.
AND the keyboard is NOT from my note, so is the status bar. I was using custom ROM and the burned-in keyboard looked like a stock keyboard. If I remember correctly, last time I'm using stock rom was 2014.
So my question is, does the screen burn-in come with glass or the AMOLED panel? Did they replace my perfect working AMOLED panel with the faulty one?
Thank you!
Sounds like the company did not change the glass but the entire scrreen including glass, LCD, and frame.
It comes from the OLED panel, not the glass.

Hi, I'm wanting to replace my HOXs screen.
There are yellow spots on the screen, does this mean I need to replace the lcd panel as well or if I just replace the glass/digitizer will this fix the yellow spots?
Also, I managed to fix a galaxy ace screen (glass/digitizer) by separating the digitizer from the lcd panel and the lcd panel is fine. I know it has been said it's not really possible to separate the two with the HOX but if I have managed to do it for the ace, do you think it's possible for the HOX??
Any thoughts would be appreciated
You don't really need to replace the screen if you have orange spots ,just put the screen on full brightness over night and your problems will be solved , if you want to replace the screen ,replace the whole thing as you said I have seen only one video out of 60 that the guy was successful in ceperating digitiser from LCD ,good luck
They will disapear after some time. I had the spots too.
Thanks for the replies.
Sorry I forgot to mention that the screen is cracked too. But my main concern was separating the lcd from the digitizer. I did do it for the ace and it was pretty easy buy if you think I would be better off to replace the panel and digitizer, then I'll do that.

The things is, the ace and the hox are very different devices. Just because you've managed to seperate digitizer and screen on the ace doesn't mean you could do that on the hox too. Just compare the space between LCD and digitizer of both devices and you'll see what I mean.

You wont manage to seperate the screen from the digitizer trust me, i tryed it and the glue is too strong + the lcd is too fragile.
I shattered the Glass on my GTII. Being an intrepid soul, I bought replacement glass and fixed the problem. However, in doing so the display now looks like ass. The panel works, and everything is legible, but it as if the OLED has lost the ability to turn off pixels completely. The screen is now masked by a brown haze weighted towards green.
If this is fixable I'll be thrilled, but I'd like to know what I did just as much. The display panel had no problems before I replaced the glass. What I broke must have occurred early as I booted the device up as soon as the glass was off to check if the phone still worked.
The phone is running the latest Goodness Rom and so far everything else seems to work just fine.
Hello everyone,
I have a Note 2 which has witnessed frong glass changes twice and whole screen change once (thank you, sister). The problem is, the last time I needed the whole screen replacement, I bought it 2nd hand from a guy who was either using dead phones' working screens or the ones he fixed.
Apperiantly my new screen is coming among those have been fixed. Because the screen is not correctly aligned to the outer glass. As it's a white phone I can easily see black frames (which are the areas of screen but no pixels there) are not equal when the screen is on. One more thing; my front camera is blurry and the notification LED is glowing a "half-circle". Other than that no problems there.
So my intention is; I want to seperate them and clean the adhesive completely so the camera and LED will be clean and I will be able to re-allign the glass to the screen.
My questions are;
1) How can I clean the whole adhessive without harming the screen
2) What can I re-attach the screen with? I think that Optic Clear Adhesives need Otoglav Machines and they are probably more expensive than a brand new Note 2 I am open to any suggestions about this material..
Thanks

Hello everyone.
Months ago my Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 felt into the floor which cracked the screen.
The touch screen was working and the colors of the tablet were still good.
Later I went to a store to put a new front which resulted in what you can see in the attached pictures [I CAN'T UPLOAD PICTURES YET]. They did a really bad job.
I don't know if the problem is just the front screen or if the entire LCD needs to be replaced. The difference is quite big in terms of money.
Can you help me on this? What should I buy: only the front LCD or the entire screen and touch?
Thanks for your help.
Can you give me an explanation, please? I really need to understand why.

The digitizer+glass and the lcd are two different parts. If you see oddness in the screen display in terms of weird colors, stripes or artifacts, the lcd is broken. If touch doesn't work, or the glass is broken but it can still display normal colors etc, generally only the digitizer+glass needs replacement.

LCD Only: If the image under the glass is broken and the touch panel is NOT then you only need an LCD.
Touch Panel aka Digitizer: If the top touch panel or aka glass top is cracked or broken but the image under it is fine then you only need the Touch Panel.
Complete Screen with Touch Panel and LCD: If the top touch panel is broken and the lcd image is either black liquid or cracked you need a complete screen.

Thanks for the explanation.
So, I need the entire set. It's so expensive.
It's a shame that in the end the specs don't count so much. If we drop our toy, all depends on the screen.

Your best bet would probably to send it to Samsung (maybe its under warranty or can make and exception), plus samsung probably warrantys their work.
or find a new /used lcd with the digitizer already pre-attached so its a easy install.
Hi to everyone.
I've just bought my Lg G4. It was second time, and the same issue. I don't know what I have to do
I see touch grid on bright wallpapers and colors, mostly bright like white bright blue etc. It's annoying because it's second time that I have the same problem, earlier lg was resend. SN is 602 and 1.1 version. This is visible under the sun and off screen. Lines are mostly horizontal when we hold phone vertically.
This is problem with original foil protector or new G4 have problem with that? Please help me. Thank you in advance.
I see em on mine too its the digitizer grid. Not a problem normal just another anoyance from lg. But its good. G2 and g3 the digitizer was on the outside so if the glass cracked or even got a deep scratch the touch screen quit working the diffrence with g4 is the digitizers under the glass. So a cracked glass the screen should stil respond. Like i said normal just an anoyance. Mines real bad in the sun but. Thats the only thing i can think of with it.
