So I just updated my samsung galaxy s4 yesterday with kies but after updating it doesn't let me turn on wifi at all whenever i press the wifi button it just goes back to off can anyone help me?
Try re-flashing the latest stock ROM with Odin. Factory reset if re-flashing doesn't fix the issue.
Does everything else work (calls, text, data, Bluetooth)?

I have the exact same problem, except I reflashed back to stock using ODIN. A factory reset even directly after a clean wipe doesn't do the trick. However, one thing to note is that I can turn on wifi on any other ROM except stock, so it can't be that the radios are busted.

This morning I found my battery dead. When I got it to boot, it was bootlooping. I tried flashing, wiping, everything. Bottom line is if I sync to google, my phone goes into bootloop. Full data wipe in recovery does nothing, all my apps are there and work fine, flashing works fine. Tried installing twrp, same thing.
Any ideas?
Anyone got any ideas? Could this be a hardware problem?
Guess I'll try going back to stock when I get home. Unfortunately I could never get mtp to work properly.
Sounds like a bad ROM you are using.
Does it use the CM GAPPS file?
You can try flashing CyanogenMOD's latest GAPPS and i bet that would fix it.

Tried many different ROMs, that was not the problem. Wipe didn't work, even the native factory reset. Went fully back to stock and rerooted and it seems to be fixed. Still working on restoring things.
I'm having the WiFi and Bluetooth turn-on issue whenever I root. I decided to go all the way back to UVALJ1 stock using Odin. No problem, flash went fine, hung on Samsung logo, yanked battery, factory reset using stock recovery. Powered up fine, lo and behold, all kinds of settings were still there, including a bunch of old Wifi access points. Back to stock recovery, factory reset again, yanked battery, turned on in DL mode, flashed stock ROM again with Odin.
This seems to have fixed my WiFi issues and cleared out the stored access points, but after a reboot, prior to installing any apps, my background changed from the quill to the plain black background I had been using, no intervention on my part.
Everything I've read says that a factory reset should fix the WiFi and Bluetooth problem, but it does not. Even flashing a stock ROM via Odin is not entirely effective. Can anyone help me figure out a way to completely clear out the settings in my GNII?

Go to settings > backup and reset > and uncheck backup my data... then try again.
Hello everybody,
I'm running the latest stock Android 4.3 on a rooted Note 2 with CWM installed. What happens is that when I use the phone to make or receive phone calls (streaming music is ok instead) in my car (but I experienced the same problem in another car) the Bluetooth all of a sudden goes off and I need to either turn the screen on or toggle the bluetooth button.
Any idea on how to fix it?
Thank you,
Davide
Hi! Have you tried a Factory Reset? It will wipe your phone clean, so back-up your stuff first. Come back after with the results, maybe this will fix the Bluetooth issue.

Actually I wanted to avoid that...
Okay, so let's try something else first and see where it leads: Go to CWM and make a Nand Backup. Then wipe your Cache and Dalvik Cache. Reboot and test. Most probably this will not solve, but it's worth trying. Get back in CWM and this time wipe Data + Dalvik + Cache (Factory Reset basically). Boot and test. If not working, you can restore the Nand Backup to get back your apps and data. If it is working, well, lucky you, you'll have a great time installing all your apps back
Hi,
Yesterday I posted about why my Wifi and 3G didn't work after flashing CM11. With the help of of engine95 I got this to work (thanks!) but now I am running into another problem:
The GPS doesn't work. As far as I can tell the standard solution is to flash stock again and get a GPS fix, then go to back to CM. So I flashed ZVC_Stock_Root.zip again. This worked yesterday, but today it shows a message "cyanogenmod account has stopped" and reboots after a while. I have done a factory reset and wiped Dalvik cache but the message still appears.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Delete system in recovery and re-flash ZVC stock zip to get rid of pop up message.

This ^^^^^^.
Also. when you flash to the stock ZVC, make sure everything is working and make a backup in TWRP/CWM. That way you can bounce back and forth when CM/AOSP Rom's have issue's that need to be fixed with stock. ie update profile prl, GPS.

Thanks a lot, everybody. Formatting system allowed me to boot up stock and get a GPS fix. I have backed up stock and can switch easily between CM and stock now.
It took a while but now I have a fully functioning Optimus G with CM11.
i did a factory data reset as I'm giving my mom my s4 and taking her nexus 4 so after i reset it the wifi stopped working, I've ref lashed cyanogenmod 3 times now none of which works, what i don't get is that wifi was working fine before the reset, does anyone know how to get this working again? thanks in advance
I'm thinking this is an issue with cyanogenmod because i flashed danvdh's 4.4.4 stock based rom and it works fine now, id say CM is fine but there are some problems that still show up every now and then
