Hello there,
I'm encountering a strange error since this afternoon. I'm using this ROM as above (7.1.0) since it was released. No troubles at all, always worked without any issues.
Today, when the battery went empty, I charged my phone and booted it. It had some trouble with getting started, as the screen kept black (with backlight)
It's on now since then, but with this error: Google Play Services is stopped (from Dutch translation). It keeps coming every 2-3 seconds when I do something with the phone.
Now, I'm thinking about doing the 7.1.0 update again. Wipe it and rewrite it so it's a fresh install. Is that a good idea, or does somebody here has a better idea or tip?
Great thanks!

Hello, I updated a couple of apps today, including upgrading to Google Maps 8.0. Since then my phone occasionally just reboots. I've noticed that if I try to uninstall Google Maps, the phone freezes. Try to use it, the phone freezes. Fix permissions, it freezes when it reaches Google Maps. Tried to flash an older gapps version, didn't help. And on and on and on...
Any idea what the hell is going on? How on earth can I get rid of Google Maps?
I'm running a CM monthly from end of last year...
Which CM ROM are you running exactly? With the new theme engine in early April nightlies and recently in the M6 build, it has cause severe memory leak resulting in reboots, crashes, and systemui not working in phones with low RAM such as the Galaxy Nexus.
Hi all. I just got my S6 Edge on the release date and updated it to 5.0.2 via OTA right away. I noticed that a lot of my apps keep crashing and the phone will reset on its on sometimes. Is this a symptom of the memory leak issue? Has anyone else experience this and found a solution? Please chime in, thank you.
*edit*
I have already performed a factory reset and it didn't help.
Also the message is "Unfortunately, (insert app name) has stopped working."

Yep its definately the memory leak problem when pushed hard. Try using smart manager to clean stuff up or all in one toolbox from the playstore. A restart might help, mine has stopped crashing apps now, when setting up and syncing it seems to be worse.
My nexus 9 is the worst thing i ever bought hoping 5.1 will sort things out. As much as i Like lollipop, my 2 plus year old note 8 is smooth as butter on KitKat. That said new Samsung phones always have early software glitches that get sorted in a couple of months

I did all this and it doesn't seem to be working. What is the next step?
I downloaded AAStocks and it keeps crashing on my Galaxy S6 Edge as well. Works great with no crashes though on my older HTC ONE M7
Note: Crashing started after I added stock portfolio to application
UPDATE
I took screenshots of how frequently the apps crashed. I had 5 apps crash back to back within a minute of opening each. I went to a T-Mobile store and showed them the screen shots. They were busy so they didn't bother to ask me to duplicate the problem in front of them. The phone was still within the 14 day warranty period so they replaced it for me. As of now, I am no longer experiencing the issue. Maybe you guys can try making the same claim. Best of luck!
Happy you got a new phone. The problem though was the Google Play Service that for some reason had a hard time auto updating and a lot of apps depends on that.. So in the future try to disable it, uninstall and install it again. That will fix it.
Even when it's not a Google app it will do that. Had the same problem
Recently, I guess after I installed bliss pop v3.2, the Google search, google plus, and the YouTube, can nolonger be updated. Every time when I try to update them, the process first goes into the diagnosing loop, and then my device freezes, and the last thing is the forced shutdown. I like to know if anyone else is having the same problem as I am?
Hi. I got CM 11 from TeamCanjica. Ive got some serious issue, because since last week this error started to show at abnormal rate. For example, when I finish my 5 minutes call, I need to close literally 10 "Google Services stopped working" errors. I didnt install anything nor update. It just started to show by itself. I tried googling the solution, but nothing works. I tried to remove Google Services updates, but for some reason it refuses to remove the update. Cleaning Cache also didnt help. Also, this Google Services started to drain my battery faster than anything else. I once even caught it draining battery more than screen. Anyone can help me?

But note this is only an temporary Fix. ROM update is needed or google has to change play services again.

Thanks.
So, this has been bugging me for some time now, but this morning I've had enough. What happens is that I put apps to update trough the Google Play store, and my phone becomes really slow and the download/install speed is even worse. I just put about 12 apps to update, all small apps. It took the phone almost an hour to update and there were still 4 left that weren't. Tried using FB Messenger to talk to my GF and the phone just hanged and wouldn't respond for at least a minute.
I've had the Redmi Note 3 from my GF for a while, and that thing installed apps like nothing. It was really fast and as soon it downloaded the installation started and almost instantly finished. Compared to my G4, it was a pleasure to watch that.
Is anyone else having similar problems? I have a H815 bootloader unlocked with Genisys Rom 2.2.1 on it. And, I've had this problem on every stock based MM and LP ROM, tho not sure if I had it on a CM or AOSP based ROM.
