It's really strange. The phone will connect to the Bluetooth speaker no problem... until I try to play audio. I get a toast message saying "song can't be played" and then the phone will become unresponsive for a few seconds, show the toast message again and then the phone will crash again until I turn off the Bluetooth.
I have done multiple resets, cache clears and used TWRP to wipe davlik. I'm currently on FreedomOS but this was also happening on totally clean, stock OOS.
Is this a known issue?

Hi there. I'm running the OTA FroYo, I've never rooted my phone and never probably will I didn't have any problems with it so far. I've made numerous 720p recordings without problems but this morning when I pressed record the app froze - all labels and icons disappeared and only the camera feed remained. Then when I closed the app my battery started draining fast. With OS Monitor I pinpointed the culprit - mediaserver. It's a system process and I can't kill. I tried killing all apps with a task killer with no luck. When I restart the phone the mediaserver doesn't do any problem until I turn on the camcorder app even if I don't press record. And even if I press record it just freezes again... I tied changing codecs and different settings and making numerous reboots but apparently those things didn't work at all...
So does anybody have an idea how to fix that? Have anybody experienced a similar problem?
I have this same issue. My phone went from 100% at 7am to 15% just before 11am because I made a video last night and didn't reboot the phone afterward. This has only happened since the 2.2 update.
It's good to hear it's not just me... Hope there's a way to resolve the issue. Can we somehow send an inquiry to HTC?
I have the media service running on my orange UK 2.1 phone... I stop it.. nothing happens.. all my pics work fine.. music etc...
just out of interest i had this problem when i had NimBuzz installed and it was on auto login, when i turned auto login on start-up off mediaserver goes.
just an idea
have not got numbuzz or any " extra " music" apps....
I had the same problem after upgrading to 2.2. Wiping my data and settings fixed it.
I don't have Nimbuzz as well...
Well, I hope there's another way to do it. I don't want to erase my data and settings :/
Wow! I just tried recording a video and it worked like a charm! The problem has magically dissapeared! I tried so many things so I can't really point out which one actually worked. Basically I think changing the video codec, unmounting/mounting the SD card (I did it by connecting the phone to the pc as a data device) and restarting the phone helped. I did those things several times in different orders.
I am having a bunch of issues with my device, some of which I had with my first device, which i smashed the screen.
I get system FC, and many apps, mainly twitter FC alot. This happened alot with my first device as well.
If I open the camera while music is playing (Poweramp), sound comes thru the speaker for a few seconds. Embarrassing as i take the train.
Screen rotation takes forever.
I get vibrating notifications randomly with nothing new incoming. LED doesnt indicate a notification though.
Any thoughts?

When's the last time you rebooted your phone? Cleared the cache? Cleared davlink? Are you rooted? Running a custom rom? Installed a different kernel? More information about your set up is needed.

Stock. Cleared cache, reboot a few times a week. What is davlink?
Still having this call log issue as well. Only get 3 days of logs, and not even all the calls I make:

I was on a 2-3 week old build of CM13, was working fine until this morning.
It started freaking out when I opened gmaps, it'd freeze in regular intervals, about once every second for maybe half a second. You could hear it in the music playing. I closed gmaps and it 90% went away. I tried flashing 08/05 CM13.1 and now it keeps crashing randomly, and sometimes when I try to boot or go into recovery, this weird green "crash handler" screen comes up and gives me the option to reboot or go into download mode.
Factory reset and installed 8/5 again and it's still crashing randomly for no apparent reason. There aren't any apps that should be doing this, nothing like kernel auditor or any of that installed currently.
Ideas?
Hello,
I'm running a rooted Pixel XL with stock rom version 7.1.1 (security patch from December). Whenever I use Messenger or Whatsapp to start a video call, the recipient and I can see each other but can't hear me but I can hear them. Shortly after that, the app locks up and eventually displays the "app not responding" message. Switching from mobile data to wifi doesn't make a difference. Rebooting the phone and immediately making the same call temporarily fixes it and allows me to make the call. The next time I attempt to make a video call, it would exhibit the same symptoms. I've tried clearing the apps' cache, uninstalling/reinstalling the apps, and I've even tried clearing dalvic cache. It doesn't seem likely to be an outdated system updates/security patch issue since a reboot would make it work again. Any help with this is much appreciated! TIA!
Hi,
If I'm playing a song or in a call and turn the screen off, the sound starts to stutter/lag immediately and starts to work find as soon as the screen is turned on. This happens with any app that is playing music/sound.
I have NOT updated my phone recently and I'm in the latest software update (Android 10).
This issue started suddenly and I'm not sure if it's something from the settings or what.
Disabling the "Optimise Battery Usage" for apps such as YouTube Music, Spotify, Messenger and WhatsApp did NOT solve the issue and the sound stuttering still occur when using these apps while the screen is off.
Restarting the phone did not resolve the issue.
This issue occurs while the phone is charging as well.
Any suggestion of how to resolve this issue? Anything apart from Factory Reset.
Also, my device is NOT rooted.
Thanks in advance!
