Record calls by time - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Does anyone know if an app exists where you can set to record all calls based on time of day? Have a unique job requirement for this.
I don't know how to do this with tasker, maybe a way there?

I use ACR (advanced call recorder). It is just an incredible app, I can't go one day without it. Organises recordings by name and number, date, etc,Can upload to cloud storage automatically, just a complete package. Highly recommended.
But to record by time of day? That's just too much to ask for haha.

Phone apps?

Any one using any phone related apps ? ie Google voice or Vonage...
I have the 10.0 and will be switching to the 8.0 soon, I'm curious how people are taking advantage of the phone capability.

I use google voice. It works exactly the same as on my phone. I would recommend using Vonage (free) for voice over data instead of grooveip or talkatone. The quality seems much better, and you can use it even if you have an obi device installed at home as a free house phone. But I have not used Vonage on my tablet, only on my phone.

Hey, "Kisrita" you are right that Vonage provides much better services than any other. I use it in my tablet as well as phone.
I assume you have to be a vonnage customer to use this app, or can anyone use it?
thanks

I'm not a Vonage customer and I'm using it. They give something like 3500 minutes to use for free, and my calls are received showing my Google voice number. I don't know if there are some other perks for Vonage customers. I make very few calls so I haven't really looked into it further.

I remember reading about a app called Tablet talk. Basically from what I understand you connect the devices through Bluetooth or WiFi (maybe either) and you can get you calls and text sent to you tablet (assuming you close enough for a connection).
A quick search turned this up (apparently there is more than one app):
http://thedroideffect.com/tablet-talk-vs-mighty-text/
Mighty text is also great for what you want. It will sheet you phonecalls and even allow you to ext from all of your devices and your PC.

I'd recommend MightText as well, but with their privacy service being such they can share your info with certain groups when they want, kills it for me.
I bought Tablet Talk a couple days ago and haven't looked back. I mean, it is a secure BT or Wifi connection just between the devices you activate, no outside party or servers involved. It's really quick, has quick popup, calling through BT headset, etc. I find it to be fantastic for what I need/want.

Where did you here that? What private info is shared with who and how do you know your other one doesn't?
Also, are you just a user or are you connected with this one you suggested?

I've been using MightText for a while now and love it.
I probably use it as much from the browser as I do from my tablet.
Excellent app! :good:

Didn't hear anything. Read through MightyText's quite creepy privacy policy. http://mightytext.net/privacy When you start using a "free" service, you become the service.
The one I talk about wouldn't be able to as it is a simple "ad-hocish" type network between the two devices. No internet, no servers, no data, just devices talking to each other. http://www.tablettalkapp.com/faq/
I am fully just a user mate who digs the app I suggested. Use it all the time here at home and at my job. Sorry if I sound like I may be selling it, once again I just really enjoy the privacy factor of it.
Wouldn't having Google voice on both devices solve your problem? I have Google voice linked to my HTC One as my voicemail client, and I can see all my sms messages, missed calls and voicemails on both devices, although the ui leaves much to be desired. Haven't tried to make any calls on my N7 though so I can't speak on that one.

Call recording apps

Has anyone managed to get any of the call recording apps to work with the HTC 10?
Ive tried ACR and Call recorder and both recordings are super low.
Maybe I'm just configured wrong. I am rooted too but know these apps don't technically require it to be rooted.
Thanks guys

Yah I have call recorder installed but I can't hear the recordings they're so faint.
Is it working for you properly or did you have to alter any settings for it?

Yes. Using Boldbeast with mode 5 and recording is working both ends of the call.

Total recall hands down
Just got an email from the Killer Mobile guys about Total Recall Call Recorder. Their new version being released tomorrow supposedly works with the HTC 10, including non-root. I had contacted them about non-root HTC 10 and sent them so information and logs. They replied.....
We'll be releasing an update likely tomorrow that should get things working on your device. Will be v2.0.45

Just thought you guys might want to know.
I've just find out that ACR Call recorder by NNL also menage to solve the HTC 10 recording problem.
It's free!
Just a simple reminder to be mindful f the laws with call recording. You have to know the laws for where you are as well as where the person you recorded are. This can save you tons of legal troubles.

No app, it's been enabled in the hTC code.
When you are on a call, you press the menu button and you will have an option to start recording.
There is also a Tweak to allow automatic recording on incoming and outgoing calls.

T-MOBILE group text problems

Does anyone have a problem when people reply in groups the HTC 10 stock app adds your telephone number twice?
It will for example first time XXX-XXXX and then on the next reply it'll add another XXX-XXX-XXXX. If you use a different app it completely stops.

I would suggest using Google Messenger for texting. I had a bunch of problems with group texting on the regular app and just switched over.
That's what I did. I switched to another app and it works fine after that. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something else conflicting with the stock app or not.
