change color of LEDs?

Hi guys,
is it possible to change the color of the LEDs?
My intention: Normally the LED glows green, when I missed a call or something like that it glows orange and when the accu is nearly empty it glows dark red.
Often I see the green LED in the corner of my eye and think it's orange - although I know that it's not.
So: Is it possible to change the color of the normal alarm LED into dark red? I tried no2chem_nueLED but it doesn't show the dark red LED.. :-/

sorry to hijack the thread but is there a way to stop the led flashing all the time? the led next to the internet explorer button is constantly flashing green

Yeah I've been trying to figure out if there's a way as well. The same thing happens to me all the time. Whenever I see the green light from the corner of my eye I think it's orange too .
Anyone willing to shed some light on this?

The green lights indicate that your phone is currently connected to the Phone Network... it doesn't flash when you're out of ranch.. I don't know how to turn it off other than putting your phone in Flight Mode..

Use a regestry editor to change the leds
Disable flashing service LEDs
[HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\AllLEDMgr]
By doing this It WILL dissable the phone from vibrating!
As for changing the LED's colour I dont know how to but I will have a look!

How do you get the thing to be ON? The Green light used to be on when on charge......sadly I haven't seen the light ON now for the last 2 weeks despite it being on charge and does charge too?
Do I need to use the same registry hack to get the light to come ON?

Weird ... the same thing happens to me, too! I thought it was my aging eyes ... though I KNOW I'm not color-blind. But yes, when seen with only peripheral vision, it often appears to be the amber color. Very strange perceptual event here.

u could try using the nueled software in the dev and hacking forum not sure if it works like it should tried it once but u can always try it

The reason your peripheral vision sees a different colour is that the LED isn't actually one LED - it's two. Probably red and yellow. This allows it to display
3 different colours, ie.
R = Red
Y = Yellow
R+Y = Green.
The R+Y is probably created by high-speed alternating between red and yellow. Your peripheral vision detects one colour only, probably because there are far less colour receptors at the side of your visual cortex than near the centre and they only register the one colour. As soon as you look directly at it, more rods/cones come into play and your brain then interprets what it's seeing as the blended colour, green.
The above isn't exactly correct, but it's close enough so you get the idea....

I have another problem/request. Since I am not with my phone all the time I would like the Amber LED to flash if I have a missed call for indefinite time (until I check the calls) and not only for a limited period (and then changing back to green). It was already implemented in TNT6.0 SE ROM.
Is there only a question of some registry change (and which)?

If you go to settings>sounds&notifications>notifications>Phone:missed calls
You can change the Flash Light For value to NO LIMIT. Default is 15 mins.

yeah... nueLED doesn't work on my hermes. It doesn't give me the address of the red LED...

But the LED light does not light up AT ALL?
Has the LED blown?.....Didn't think thta was possible since its not a Bulb?

i dont no what i do but i only have the red led notification, when i plug de AC power to charge.
the outher LED's dont do anything.
there is anithing to resolve this???

What other LED's? There is only 1 led. It is red when charging or green when fully charged. Or green blinking for mail or sms or missed call. The little plastic on the other side is your light sensor.

my led is not blinking too for mail or sms received or missed call

I found the solution to my problem.
after seeing what went wrong and where. I came to the conclusion that for some reason I got the option: flash light for ... = Disable.
all you had to do was go to:
- Settings
- Sounds and notifications
- Notifications
- Event (events with an option for flash light, put enable)

This was already set at my TP2.
But when charging, it doesn't start to blink, it stays burning.

Now I have the LED notifications working.
It was enough, but in your case, I think, only just by changing a key in the registry or with a hard reset to see if everything returns to normal.

Indeed. the led charging is prior to led notification. So no notification when charging. Maybe someone knows a reghack for this?

Any hack to change the LED settings?
example:
blinking green to indicate signal coverage
blinking amber for missed calls, message etc.
Pretty useful if we're in a rural area and need to quickly see if we have coverage or not without turning the phone on.

Did anyone find a solution for this problem? My TP2 has no notification LED when it's charging.
It's driving me crazy. I never know if I have Email until I unplug the TP2. My Treo blinked like mad, plugged in or not.

notification light for charging

I noticed that when charging the phone the only color that it uses is blue. I have it set to yellow when charging but it never works. Anyone else have that issue?

I have noticed this as well, and it may be linked to dash charging. Nowhere in the settings is a blue LED set.

It means the phone is dash charging. There's no way to change the color in the settings, seems like an oversight.

Yes, I noticed on a regular charger it will use the correct color. Dash seems to be only blue.

Phone has a LED Notification light ? How to activate ?

I saw pictures online and have read that this phone does have a LED Notification light. But my brand new Pixel 2 XL I just got from Google yesterday, doesn't seem to work ?
What's it called, like Blink Light something ? I found that in Settings, and it is enabled clicked on. But I don't see it light up when the phone's plugged in charging.

Go in SETTINGS
then APPS and NOTIFICATIONS
then NOTIFICATIONS
then turn on BLINK LIGHT

You'll need a third party app, such as light flow or light manager in order to have LED while charging.

google didn't enable it for charging for some weird reason. just notifications for apps

I use "light manager" and it works great.

I just tested out light manager and it does work great. I chose to try that over light flow as light manager has been updated much more recently and after Oreo came out, whereas light flow is pre-oreo updated. But yeah, it works well so far. Tested out charging lights as well as multiple notification lights - they pulse as set up and use the proper color assigned to them. Pretty nice.

Yes. A singular color on the left bottom.

it's white nothing else.
So even if you install some extra software it will still be only white.

I see no options in android one for this I know when I receive whatsapp message it lights up white

Maybe you can find some Xposed Module for custom LED...

That is sad my older phones at least have yellow red and green
It is even configurable via third party apps or like I am using custom roms
Any way it doesn't bother me if its blinking smoothly or at least just blink it not a sloppy 3 step transition

Have a look at the Light Flow app. Unfortunately changing the blinking speed doesn't work but at least it's possible to define the apps whose notifications are switching the LED on.

Sorry it seems there is much confusion around about the (white only) notification led. I'm still reading people stating that the led just lights up for showing that phone is charging, and do NOT lights up for notifications like missed calls, pending incoming messages and other usaual android notifications.
May you please confirm that indeed it DO lights up for android notifications and not only when charging? Thanks
One more thing: if it lights for notificatins but it also lights pemanently while charging, how do you distinguish notifications while charging?

It blinks for notifications and is permanently on while charging. Not sure what happens with notifications while charging as I only do it over night every 2-3 days. Never had any problems with the LED by the way.

If any wonders exactly.
Made some test.
White led only, off, blinks slowly or always on.
When a notification is received and screen goes off it blinks slowly.
When is charging led is always on but if screen is off and a notification is received it blinks.
When battery saver is on it blinks slowly, if a notification is received it blinks anyway the same way.
I only tested text notification, and I am using Textra, not Android message.

I found the app " light flow" just after reading this page : it enables to manage the led, : which event (battery full/ WhatsApp/messages...) will make the led blink or stay still, obviously no colour management for this phone and unfortunately no possibility to manage blink speed.
