Mi 5s stuck on start - cant login nor activate MI account

Hi guys, it looks xda is my last chance resort to save the phone.
Once purchased a week ago I still cant use the phone by now.
The phone seem to be attached to some account which I did not create and thus cant access.
The phone is locked/bootloader/ and not activated /MI account verification/, neither I can restore any password by loggin with my phone number - Xiaomi does not send me any verification text SMS back.
I tried recovery and Fastboot and while recovery allows me to flash with chineese MISuite back and forth with 8.0.3/android show errors-stopped processes/ and 7.5.XX,
fastboot does not allow anything-Flash xbl error.
Anybody-anything? Because ./except my numerous reclaiming in Xiaomi and the shop/ I am out of ideas by now ??

Looks like a stolen phone. If you bought it via paypal/credit card request a refund/charge back.

May be. But I bought it from Gearbest.com. Are they prone to such cases?
Good idea w/charge back.

Usually not, but I would return it anyway, just to be sure. If it has been used, there is no saying how the battery will perform or if it's full of viruses and spyware.

If you wont solve the problem, maybe I'll be willing to rebuy i from you. Depends on the price. Im looking for bricked mi5s

I had the same problem when trying to install Miui again after installing LOS. But I had already unlocked my bootloader.
If you use a special cable, http://en.miui.com/thread-324300-1-1.html, you can flash a Miui developer ROM and unlock your bootloader. There are plenty of manuals on the internet.

Everythings ok now, Xiaomi support helped effectively )). Thread to be closed.

What solution did they have for you?

I did not receive verification SMS from Xiaomi to reset the password.
I had to sent them IMEI, phone no, invoice copy etc.
After all it succedeed.

hi guys. i have a problem with my mi max 3.
i was using the phone normally(google maps on LTE) when it suddenly reboots and bootlooped. since i am on custom rom, i just reflashed the rom but it still is in bootloop. i have tried installing stock rom (global stable latest) and now it does not have cellular network and wifi (bluetooth works fine). i have tried installing china beta rom but still the same thing. whenever i try installing a custom rom, it just goes to bootloop and official roms does not have cellular network and wifi.
imei unknown
wifi mac address is 02:00:00:00:00:00
any solution left for me?
PS: tried flashing using mi flash tool normally in fastboot and did test point also.

has anyone had the same experience?

You only need to flash a file named modem.fix.ysl.zip to restart modem it's mostly caused by a data lose which cause a sys crash.
I'm on phone now but you'll find this file on telegram groups. Just ask for it.
Or search for it on my channel @Nitrogencloud
You'll maybe need to reflash miui with miflash if it's not enough.

hi! thank you very much for your response. i was able to join your channel and download the modem.fix.ysl.zip. let me just clarify the steps.
1. flash modem.fix.ysl.zip via twrp
2. reboot phone or do i need clear cache/dalvik?
3. if not resolved, reflash miui (should it be latest global stable?)
4. flash modem.fix.ysl.zip again after flashing miui?

Have you guys found a solution? I have the exactly same problem on Mi Max 3 4/64Gb version. I'm on MIUI Global Stable 10.3.5.0. It was on China stable and had issues,so i flashed Global Stable fastboot rom using Mi Flash Tool(flash all option),and It doesn't solve the problem.I have unlocked bootloader,and no previous system backup.
Also i tried flashing NON-HLOS.bin file from Global Stable fastboot ROM using command : fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Also i tried something that worked on my old redmi 4,after NON-HLOS.bin flash,executed fastboot commands :
fastboot erase modemst1 and modemst2,but no luck because of "partition is write protected" error.
Have you found what's the cause of this problem?Is it hardware?Is it corrupted modem files?Please, any help,any suggestion will be appreciated. I'll try everything to fix it. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the info,i think that now there's not much we can do.I erased modemst1 and modemst2 from OrangeFox recovery and it didn't work.Also , I noticed that modemst1 and modemst2 are created automatically on boot.I also tried latest China Stable (MIUI 11) and no luck.I reached out xiaomi support via email explaining them the problem,and my tries to fix it,so if they respond you'll be the first to know,so we can hopefully fix our phones.The only thing i think i haven't tried is flash QCN file for "nitrogen" that i found on Google (and before that i need to edit that file and put my original IMEI,to avoid changing it).
And another thing i haven't tried is EDL flash.Maybe that will fix something,and I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi guys, I am on the exact same situation. I couldn't get any EDL backup to flash on my device. Did you have any luck solving the problem?

@diegoocampo I'm in contact with a few people who had this problem (and others related). The many attempts to fixing yielded no results. Apparently EDL is the only thing left to try.

Mi A2 Lite - Stuck on the Android One screen

Hello. What happened was that my Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite gave a very sinister problem, I was using it normal, when it suddenly crashed, I tried to restart it, but when it called it got stuck on the Android One screen and it doesn't leave that screen. I would like to know if there is anything you guys advise me to try to do. I would like some help, the cell phone is very good and I had never locked it. Only it gave this problem.
My bootloader is blocked and the unlock option in the developer settings is disabled. I already tried to flash the latest system using XiaomiMiFlash, MiFlashPro, MiFlashBeta, TOOL ALL IN ONE, among other methods and none makes the phone come back to life. When using XiaomiMiFlash or MiFlashPro, the following error appears: "ack count don't match", and so the flash process does not end. Using MiFlashBeta, this error does not appear, but the process ends and nothing changes. The phone remains locked.

Now we are two, read somewhere you must use Mi Authorized Mi flash, then perform a deepflash.

On the Mi flash tab look for authentication, sign in with your mi account. Remember to use Mi flash pro.

UNKNOWN ERROR( -1

Hi all,
i would like to unlock my xiaomi mi 9 se(chinese stock rom to xiaomi.eu) so when i open the Mi Unlock tool to check out the status of phone appears the message "UNKNOWN ERROR( -1)" , do you know what its refer because really i do not know what means.

In this time first I tried with a new account to unlock but after 168 hours completion it showed unknown error-. Then I tried with an old account, This time it also showed that unknown error-1. I used dell laptop.
What should I do? Please help me.

delete the miflash_unlock folder and exatct new folder and this will fix it for you

My device is also Redmi Note 8, I waited 168 hours as instructed by mi flash tool, but then the error came and said to wait 24 hours more. Which folder you mean to delete, can you specify? do i need to create a new folder and extract the mi flash tool zip file into it?

I had another device (POCO F4) but had the same issue. Maybe it will help someone.
I downloaded latest Mi Unlock from xiaomi site: 6.5.224.28
When launched, I got notification about newer version: 6.5.406.31 (funny that they didn't update their site).
On latest version (April 2022) I had "Unkown error. Try again later(-1)."
On previous version (February 2022) I got message that my phone is not supported.
Then I found version 5.5.224.55 (February 2021) where I got notification about 168h to wait so probably that version is working.
Xiaomi unlocking system s**ks...

I would like to try this rom if I could download it.

There’re some of bugs still not fix yet and the biggest bug is the device unable to lock, which mean you will lost screen password and fingerprint function.

that the probleme you need to download it from phone i downloaded from phone and now reupload it for everbody because you need to log in make 2 accounts for it link wil be updated in 30 min. with txt files translated from they website.

when i try to flash this rom. my phone cannot boot into fastbootd.
the bottom of the screen give me the following messages:
ERROR recovery: Failed to load bitmap fastbootd (error -1)
ERROR recovery: Failed to load bitmap een/cant_find_OTG_en (error -1)

did you flash to chinese rom first? because its say to downgrade to 2.26 china rom before flash. upload is @80% almost :]

i dont installed atm because i want to know how to install safe that why i upload it somebody can help me with it. try to fix you phone with rebricker.

instal did on 2.21 china rom maybe you can try that again.

Now, I will try relock bootloader. Local update 2.26 CN firmware and try reflash this rom.
