in that forum, there is redstone 1 and redstone 2, and the link you gave me is for redstone 1, so do you advise that i use redstone 1 rather than rdstn 2? or i use the newest one better (i hope that it wont damage the phone, because some ppl are saying that win 10 on the unsupported phones can cause problmes in the phone hardware).
and is the method of flashing custom rom is risky?

redstone 2 is insider testing version, still full of bugs

after several tests i could restore it by Windows Device Recovery Tool to the old version.
so, i will give it another try next days.
After unlocking the bootloader (winth Wpinternals), and flashing the custom rom, the phone stucks in: Nokia, and the wpinternals says: Rebooting phone to Normal mode.
i tried power button + volume down, but it return to the same situation.
when i open Windows Device Recovery Tool it does not detect the phone version (it should be windows 10).
the phone is not booting, and i don't want to back to the older version again.
help please.
edit:
can i flash an rm 892 rom while my phone is rm 910 ?

Hello Gurus,
I have HTC Love. I successfully upgraded the ROM to 6.5. But now after booting it says Beta version has expired and it does not allow to click on any buttons or menus. I am not able to connect to ActiveSync. When I reset it to upgrade the ROM from sd card it says "invalid certificate". I have also tried upgrading the ROM at RGB screen but it fails at 2%. Do any one of you have an idea to get me install ROM.

Yesterday i started to upgrade my htc trophy but at the step 8 out of 10 the upgrade stopped. After one hour it was still at the same point, so (I know i probably did something stupid) i disconnected the phone.
From this moment i cannot use the phone cause even trying the camera button+volume+power it says to connect the phone to zune, but when i do it and zune starts to do a restore i ve an error 100102e "no restore points".
I really don't know what to do....somebody could help me?

Might want to go to the Dev section and see if they have a factory ROM available, and after that try to flash it from the bootloader... Probably your best bet...
I had a pretty similar experience. I did a forced nodo update (hungarian PPTP). Since I read that HTC bundled their nodo update with a newer radio (or whatsoever) I wanted to perform a rollback to pre nodo and then wait for the official HTC HD7 nodo. However, the rollback failed and left me in pretty much the same state that you're in. My device just didn't boot anymore. It always returned to the update screen. What I did was exactly what the user above me said. I downloaded a suitable stock ROM (european HD7 ROM for me) and flashed that. Afterwards I started Zune, removed the "old" device and then connected my freshly flashed HD7. Guess what, it was recognized and I immediatley got the updates. It's working flawlessly since then.
Thank you both, I ll try to find a ROM for the Htc trophy and flash it ( i ll try to find out how do it)
There's not much to find out. Hold the volume down button and press power until you see the tri colored screen saying "serial". Connect it to your PC and it should say "usb" after while. Then just start the exe file and follow the steps as told on the screen.

Proper way to initiate hard reset is to power off your phone. Hold volume up and down at same time, and just slightly press power button. That's all.
Than you need to press volume down to restore settings, and to press volume down once more to reset your phone.
If that doesn't help, you should find a proper ROM for your phone and flash it.
To find proper ROM for your phone, you should look here
you could try this... its easier...

its not for this use, but it should work... try it... several people recovered using this tool from bricked devices...
I'm using RR 5.6.9 by @tank0412 for last one week.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/development/rom-resurrection-remix-mm-5-6-7-t3357331
So far I didn't face any freezing or random reboot issues. What I did is as below:
1. Flash/downgrade to UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user firmware.
If you know how to flash stock firmware then skip step 2-12 and just flash it by yourself. These steps are for new users.
2. TURN OFF the device. Press and hold Volume Up+Power to enter to fastboot/droidboot. When the ASUS logo shows up, release the power button and keep on pressed the Volume UP button. This will take you to droidboot/fastboot mode.
3. Check whether your PC detects the fastboot...
Code:
fastboot devices
if not, go to device manager and install the fastboot driver(by online). if fails, install from the PC by selecting the android device from the list.
4. Download this image UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Ze...user.zip?_ga=1.61130092.1708615694.1457697474
If you have different SKU, you need to find the right firmware(version-2.21.40.30) here: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone_5_A500CG/HelpDesk_Download/
5. Extract fastboot.img, boot.img, recovery.img from the zip file and copy to ADB folder to flash. Copy UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip to ADB folder as well.
6. Run the below commands:
Code:
fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
wait for reboot.....
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
7. Then go to recovery by selecting from the menu, you will an android logo with "!" sign. Press power+vol down+vol up sequentially and simultaneously, don't release any of the buttons. You should be in recovery mode.
8. In the recovery, select wipe data/factory reset
9. Select wipe cache partition
10. Select apply update over adb sideload
11. Now check whether your PC detects the ADB over USB. if not, go to your PC's device manager and install the ADB driver online. if fails, install from the PC by selecting the android device from the list.
12. After successful detection, run below command
Code:
adb sideload UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip
13. Download this official tool for Unlock Bootloader: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Ze...rel.zip?_ga=1.117083014.1481752799.1464212721
A501cg users should get the tool here: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone_5_A501CG/HelpDesk_Download/
14. Extract the downloaded file and copy the .apk file into you SDcard. Install that .apk(if it says untrusted app, then go to settings>security>enable Unknown sources).
15. Run the installed app and press unlock. wait and let it reboot. After this, your Asus splash screen will become white & bright.
16. Now do a clean flash for any custom rom.
You guys can try it. :highfive:
Note: Few users are having "No Camera" issue for unlocked bootloader. This method will not fix that. Sorry about it, I'm a victim as well.

Yes, it won't work for your device as you have a501cg. You need to get the official unlock tool from this site: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone_5_A501CG/HelpDesk_Download/
Before that you have to flash or downgrade to *.30.zip firmware.

Actually a501 has the SAME unlocker as a500cg. There's only one app that unlocks a wide variety of Asus devices. (Zen6's different afaik).
And we tried to install 2.21.40.30 for base as well and it changed nothing.
And unlocker application doesn't change the working mechanism of phone (we decompiled it).
So, are you sure that you tried to use heavy applications like Youtube or some games?
If you get any user that reports freezes gone; i will try it again with your method.
Thanks for your contribution. Good luck with your method.
Btw assuming you have a500cg, that phone can be fixed imo.

Bro, I'm a heavy user. Many of us had faced forced close for 8 ball pool game. I had it too but after this method no forced close happened again. I'm not sure whether a500cg and a501cg have same app for unlocking. It's a bit confusing to me as they have different sites to download their firmwares and tools. But I'm sure, what ever the phone is a500cg or a501cg, the tool will work if the user has *.30.zip firmware installed.

Yes because the tool seeks for if.bin on firmware folder and it copies to the sysfs. (You're doing same thing on fastboot when flash ifwi if.bin)
So that's why I don't believe the unlocker tool fixes something.
Anyway, thanks; I will wait for another users that solved the issues with your method and then take a look with my phone.

If you follow the instructions for method 2, and repeatedly do it a few times, you can succeed. The important thing is to follow the instructions strictly, however silly they may look like.
I did several times, double checking all steps, still boot loop. After apply the method 2 , is doing a boot loop. Than I tried to apply again method 2 I have the successful download with green ...than I go in recovery and flash over adb sideload oos 3.2.8 ...than I start , no more boot loop, but after Oneplus logo goes into black screen with a withe stable notification led turned on ....I left over night ... But it keep staying like that until I force to power off by pressing and holding power button( after I want to turn off i cannot only going into bootloader and from there I choose power of, because is automatically turning on if I press and hold only the power button in order to turn off the device).
Pfiu difficult... I am thinking, some files are missing, this , and where I go in bootloader in missing the values on. Bootloader version- , and baseband version- ....

The bootloader and baseband versions were missing when i bought the phone new and are still blank today after flashing a few ROMs and Recoveries/Firmware and modems. So that is not an issue.
Are you downloading the correct files?

Yes, I am using the unbrick method with msm download tool, using the Method 2, after apply, installing all's the Qualcomm drivers 9008 , drivers signature off in windows.... The unbrick tool is passed with the green message .... Reversing back to oos 3.1.2 Android 6.0.1 ..stock, I have recovery working and bootloader also working, bootloader is locked ....so I cannot do too mutch. I start the device right away after unbrick tool and still boot to op logo that is going to vibrate as restart .... And stays in boot loop. Next step I go into recovery , and do over sideload an update with a full ROM, oos 4.0.1 , also tried with full ROM 3.2.8 ...I can sideload the whole ROM , than i start the device and after op logo goes in black screen and white motivation led lighted .... I leave it for 30 min, and still in the same, now I force turn off by going into bootloader and power off. Notice that after this sideload flash I cannot access the recovery. So I need to apply back the unbrick msm download tool for op3.
I tried also to flash over sideload a signed script from Ahmed , unified toolkit , to activate the USB debugging, but gives an error.
I run out of ideas .....any help is welcome ....
Thanks

RMA'd it to a service center for repair, after two tech support calls. They actually told me that they couldn't repair it due to "water damage." Funny thing is, that phone was never dropped in or on anything, let alone in WATER. Then to add insult to injury they refused to send it back to me stating that I had to pay for return shipping. My wife got on the phone with them and by the end of the phone call they said that they would send it back for free. HAHA. So I bought a Oneplus 3 after that whole ordeal. All the while the Oneplus X sat in the box on my desk for about 5 months. Last week I decided to pick it up and tinker with it some more. I scoured the net trying to find any other programs or solutions that I hadn't tried prior to sending it off. I came across somethings that I hadn't seen before. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/help/fastboot-mode-available-stuck-kindly-t3387918. http://rootmygalaxy.net/oneplus-x-s...w.pickmod.com/rom/4187/coloros-for-oneplus-x/. Ended up flashing Color OS via msm tool. Wouldn't load OS, but i didn't end up with a black screen and white LED, it just sat there. So right after I flashed Color OS, i Flashed the mini unbrick tool by Naman, and BOOM it booted into OS. Hope this helps.
I have an OnePlus 7T/HD1907 and need to downgrade from Oxygen 12 to 11 for compatibility with the XREAL AIR Nebula App. This is a US T-Mobile, but I can't tell witch Unbrick Tool is the best to use for rolling back to Oxygen 11.

You have T-Mobile: so go to the T-Mobile link that you've provided. That should provide you with "R" as the option for Oxygen Andriod version 11.0.1.5..
After you've reset your device to that Andriod version you may find an update to a newer Andriod 11 version - but I'll leave you to determine the last version of Android 11 for your device before Android 12.
Other T-Mobile threads here may be of reference further to assist you if needed (I'm not a T-Mobile user).

I have a OnePlus 8 5G TMO IN2017 and followed the directions https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4093043/
OnePlus_8_T-Mobile_OxygenOS_11.0.5.7
MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe
The app doesn't see my phone at all, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. There is no problem with phone connectivity, I can copy files to and from it, charge it, whatever, but hat is all.
All I have been able to do is shut the phone off, turn it on holding down the volume up/down button that dumps into the Recovery Mode. I can reformat the phone. I can't roll it back to Android 11.
There was mention in the instructions about an MS driver possibly not loading that could cause that. I found a link to that and downloaded it, but I'm not clear about how I load that.
I don't know if it matters, but I'm working from a Dell XPS 8940 running Windows 11 Pro optimized as a DAW.

I had it in EDL, but Developer wasn't turned on. Now MSM sees the phone, but doesn't recognize the make and model. Progress but not by much.
